This sort of thing won't get a lot of media coverage; media censorship is on the heavy side here. And I don't mind it. However what prompts me to report (very rare occurrences btw) is when they confront me directly and they say things that are offensive or hateful. But even in those situations I don't hate or dislike a person or think personally about him or her and I don't dwell on why they said those things. So I'd spend the first ten days out of the country, come back and spend time with family and then tend to other not-so-pleasant things like cleaning my flat, car services (repairs, renewal or part replacement), bank and/or utility transactions and basically preparing to go back to work. --- "Ladies don't start fights, but they can finish them." -Marie, Aristocats |

However, if he had replaced his girlfriend rather quickly after the break up then there would he assumptions to his loyalty towards his old gf while they were together. If he already had someone lined up right after the break up, then that would mean that he had been unfaithful (up to what degre will be anyone's guess) even before they broke up. But obviously, that'll just be an assumption by others. That way, she won't get criticised or get rude remarks when she DOES/DOES NOT try to look prettier. It's an open secret. Young girls get criticised badly by other girls with regards to their looks not because they are ugly but because they have the potential to be really pretty or even beautiful. So they nip it at the bud. I digress. I think she's calling herself self-depreciating terms to protect her feelings rather than owning up to her problem; i.e. low self-esteem. If she doesn't try to be pretty or be the best person she can be, she can't fail. If she won't fail, she won't feel the sting of failure, rejection and low self-worth. Win-win in situation, is the way she sees it. Sad really. She needs a role model and good people to show her that she can be so much better than she is now. (I'm aware that the vid is old) Every person goes through this stage. No one really learns the concept of pride, confidence or self-esteem by themselves. Mostly it's taught to us by those closest to us; our parents. When babies do a good thing, parents clap and cheer. Why? Because it encourages repeat behaviour in children and bolsters their confidence to repeat said behaviour.
