Yeah. First experience I had with cooking was helping my dad make Sunday morning breakfast back when I was 6 - my mom was in the hospital (miscarriage, I think), and my dad couldn't cook worth a damn. I took on a supervisory role and the end results got better - by the end of the day, my dad understood the smoke alarm wasn't an indication the food was done.

Now...I've cooked for my family quite a few times, and my parents have raved about how good my chicken wings and pork chops are - for some reason, I always hit upon the right ratio of spices and know just when it's supposed to come out of the oven. I've copied down recipes I've wanted to try - I actually went through with one recipe (Greek style lemon-roasted potatoes) and it turned out tasty.

2 footlongs, both chicken bacon ranch, with extra ranch and oregano - but damn I felt stuffed afterward.

Been a long time since I drank Kool-Aid. As of late, I've been going with single-serve pouches of Crystal Light with bottled water (Wild Strawberry's my fave).

Maternal grandfather went bald. Don't know about my paternal grandfather (he died 10 years before I was born). My dad's hair has thinned out a bit, but otherwise still has a full head of hair. My brother's balding at the crown.

Dining in became an option back in June before the big spike - limited capacity, though.

Wearing a face mask is mandatory until you are served your drink/appetizer/whatever.

Born in northern suburbs of Chicago, lived there till I was 2.
Moved to California, lived in 4 different places in the space of 4 years (Garden Grove, San Pedro, a couple locations in San Diego)
Moved back to north Chicago, lived there until I was 9.
Moved to Jacksonville, FL, in October 1985, lived there ever since.

All the moving was due to my dad being in the Navy. By the time my family put down stakes in Jacksonville, I had more than enough of moving and didn't want to move again.

I only stay up late if I know for sure I'm off from work the next day and as such, I sleep in. Otherwise, I'm in bed by 11 if I'm starting at 8 the next day, or by 10 if I'm starting at 7 the next day.

June 2012, a day after my 18-year-old cat Ebony passed away. It was the day after she died that my brother took her corpse out to my parents' place in Lake City for burial - I was too choked up to say what I wanted to say when I was saying my last goodbyes. Shortly after he left, I listened to the song So Long Old Friend by Desiree Goyette (you'd hear it in the animated special Here Comes Garfield) and when it came to the last line...I was bawling like a baby.

Several months ago (talking about April-ish), only way you could get food from a restaurant was either drive-thru or by way of services such as Doordash and Grubhub. Around May, some dine-in restaurants reopened, albeit with limited capacity for the sake of social distancing - those that did, mask was required, but you could remove them when you receive your drink and/or food. It's been like that since May.
