I never was in shape for the military.

Even if I was, I wasn't keen on something that would mean having to pull up stakes and move time and time again. My dad was in the Navy, and by the time I was 9, I had lived in 7 different places (including where I currently reside) - and I had more than enough of moving by then.

Hasn't happened with me, but my mom had her credit card compromised once - an ex-waitress at a local Outback Steakhouse skimmed her card, and used the stolen number to put gas in her car a few times and get an expensive pair of shoes. When Mom found out, she hit the roof.

Because of that, anytime I go to Outback - I never use my debit or credit cards. Cash only.

There was the time me, my sister, and my cousin went to see Beat Street many years ago - the projector went on the fritz and we had to leave. Probably the closest experience to walking out.

That aside, I almost walked out of Higher Learning. Movie itself wasn't bad, it just wasn't exactly my cup of tea. If I didn't have to write an essay about it in one of my university courses, I probably wouldn't have bothered to go.

I have an inside cat - solid black except for a white spot on her belly. Her name is Squeak. December 19th will mark 5 years since I got her. When I first got her, all she did was hide.

I'm also feeding another cat outside - orange and white, I call him Peachy. He's tame enough to let me transport him to the garage when it looks like really bad weather is on the way (had him there when Hurricane Irma sideswiped my hometown back in September).
