For me, I would tell myself that you're about to meet the love of your life in high school and for the love of God, don't fuck it up (which I did).

I would also tell myself to play less video games, be more alert of your surroundings and take easier courses. Beat the crap out of a lot of bullies also, and be more straight up with your parents about your general problems so they can help.

Get on medication... you have undiagnosed SPD and medication will fix it!

To tell my self to not move back to California for a girlfriend. That was a dumbass move and my biggest regret honestly. It wasn't my ex girlfriends fault, just better to not over stress myself while in college. I was getting A' s and B's. But when I went back the pressure of her family wanting me to work and go to school got to me. I knew I couldn't do it but I tried anyways because I wanted to please her dad. Every one has there level of stress and that was too much for me. Ever since then I was in a downward spiral. Moved back to Texas but all motivation for college faded and instead I worked at Lowe's for almost 5 years. Which then my mom got cancer and I had to move back to take care of her. If I stayed in college on the path I was on, I would have had a degree and would have been better able to take care of my mother. Now that she is fine I had a job that I quit for stupid reasons, and now I can't seem to get any jobs. Always get to the second interview but I never get a call back after even if I call them.

idk. any good advice I could give to my 13 year old self would erase years of fun and happiness. would I turn out better? possibly, but also possibly not as I may have gotten way more depressed than I actually did which could have led me to about the same if not worse.

I would tell me to learn not to depend on my parents for everything. Babysit and save money. I would tell me that I am going to meet a man who is perfect for me that I will love more than anything. Go with your heart and cherish every second you have with him. Trust your gut.

I wouldn't tell him anything as it'd be futile since I never paid attention to anything when I was 13.

I might, however, give him a book with some advice, lottery numbers, and stock tips.

Not everyone is as judgemental as I think they are. Stay away from cigarettes. Don't be friends with people for 2 years before asking them out.

Definitely to stop obsessing over women I didn't have anything in common with or were just stringing me along and using me. I was overly nice to them and put them on a pedestal. Now I can look back and clearly see we were not remotely compatible in the first place. So much wasted time.

Just to make more of an effort; at some point I just stopped caring about schoolwork and other stuff, and just coasted on natural talent. Graduated just fine, but I could have done much better and gone on to college.

dont leave school at 16, its much easier than any other alternative education out there and can get you into a decent job faster than one year wasted at college and 3 years in a useless training centre,

I found adult high school super easy. but I didn't drop out because I wasn't smart enough or a problem kid. I just hated the school I was at so I dropped out and went to my community college. my biggest issue is people keep assuming I have a GED when it clearly says Adult Highschool.

the fact the teachers treated us like we where all a bunch of dumbasses that just couldn't cut it in regular school is probably what made it so easy. fortunately only had to put up with that for half a school year as I dropped out of public school half way into my senior year.

its easier to quit earlier than later. I tried getting into hard drugs around 14, but my friend the same one who let me try it cut me off after a few months because he had a change of heart and realized a 14 year old doing the shit wasn't the best of ideas.

They distract you from learning profitable skills. I mean, I wouldn't go as far as quitting them entirely, but they definitely took too big a chunk of my time when I should've been learning how the stock market works, or how to code.

Why?

I spent far too much time playing hours of games like Runescape straight home from school every day when I should have been doing more socialising, participating in clubs etc. I don't necessarily regret all of my time spent gaming but in retrospect I would prefer to have spent it differently.

Assuming I can only give general advice, rather than outlining specific events for them to change, I'd probably go with the following.

-About 2/3rds of your friends are going to turn into raging douchenozzles within two years. When they do, save yourself a lot of grief and just stop hanging out with them. You'll be happier for it, I promise.
-Invest every spare penny you have into Apple stock. Yes, I know that seems like a bad joke now, but trust me - in a few years you will be very happy with this decision.
-Things are going to turn out pretty OK for you. Work hard and you'll get where you want to be.

Honestly, I really didn't make too many bad decisions in my youth that I'd want to go back and avert.
