Game(s) you just really, really, really didn't enjoy but muscled through to the finish because why the fuck not.

Looking at my list of beaten games, three stand out as particularly unpleasant experiences that I forced myself to finish:

Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash
Defenders of Oasis
Kirby's Dream Land 2 (an unpopular opinion; I've seen many people call this one of the best Kirby games, but even as a fan of the series I found it practically unplayable)

Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2

Xenosaga Episode III

FFXV (Vanilla version)

"Salvaged" would be a strong word since it's still unfinished, especially if you dislike the original version so much.

I'm pretty selective with games I play and generally am very good at picking games I like/am pretty forgiving so there aren't many I end up not liking.

No More Heroes

Prince of Persia Warrior Within at the time. i remember being pretty bummed about the direction the story took and there was a true ending that i didn't even bother getting. no idea how i would feel about it now.

and Pokemon Pearl too i guess. the Ground Elite Four member had some accuracy lowering bullshit iirc and i had a Lopunny and a Modest Carnivine that couldn't do shit; everything was so fucking slow that i debated just giving up before just replacing them and grinded it out to finish.

Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls (I actually like a lot about it, but it's a chore to play and has some of the most deplorable and awful stuff I've seen in a game for no payoff)

Madou Monogatari: Big Kindergarten Kids (the most bored I've been through a full playthrough of anything)

Also I mostly agree for KDL2, but I feel like the last world saves it. The rest of the game feels like a dull tutorial until you get there, and then finally stuff starts coming together with the animal buddies and actual ability challenges using them.

Pokemon Sword, I basically rushed to the end with my starter only rarely catching other pokemon

I am Setsuna maybe? So aggressively mediocre

I guess Sonic 06 though I would need to think about it.

FF13 is the first time come to mind and I can't yet think of another

Final Fantasy X-2

Skyward Sword comes to mind. Can't think of others that I didn't enjoy at all yet still beated.

These days, I usually stop bothering if I'm not enjoying a game. Adulting.

Tales of Zestiria will be hard to ever top for me.

Other contenders: Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, Pyre (well-made game in every way but just not for me), and Super Meat Boy.

Oh yeah, I guess KH3 is a good contender

Golden Sun: Dark Dawn

Can't even say FE: Fates for this one since I stopped at the finish line.

Star Ocean 4 maybe? The battles were fine but I hated the characters and dialogue so much. Paper Mario Sticker Star is probs up there too.

Telltale Game of Thrones and Telltale Walking Dead S2 were games I strongly disliked by the time I got to their last episodes, so sure toss them on the pile.

I think Jak II is the only game I hated that I actually finished.

Assassin's Creed comes to mind.

Final Fantasy XV is a good pick

Kentucky Route Zero, Mega Man 7, and Ico also up there.

Probably not the "worst" per se but I definitely had to force myself to finish Fire Emblem Fates (Conquest specifically) and SMT Devil Survivor.

Unfinished still!? Lol wow.

The final wave of DLC got canceled after the first episode, so yeah, it will be forever incomplete.

Ive got a decent amount of these sadly.

I feel like most people quit those games without beating them. I mean, I rented Quest 64 and played it for a few hours, but I definitely never beat it...

Final Fantasy XIII by a longshot. How or why I kept going is a mystery to me. I guess it helps that the game was actually decent from like hour 5 through hour 20.

Umm. these are games that I finished that I actively think are bad. Ive excluded games Ive played specifically because I KNEW they were bad before playing them.

I saw it through because the story really did intrigue me which kept me going, but this game was absurdly boring.

Phantasy star 2 is one of the worst RPGs I've ever played but I owned it digitally so I would own it forever (until Xbox live dies) so I figured I HAD to beat it.

Tales of symphonia sucked ass but the internet , especially b8, overhyped the shit out of it so I kept playing figuring it got better. It didn't

FFXII was awful and pointless but I spent money on it and had nothing better to do , again I felt like I had to suck it up and just do it

Capcom fighting jam was a piece of shit licensed mugen game and me and my bro, again, tried making the best of it and got all of the endings . This was during the capcom drought of the 2000s, nothing else was coming out at the time

Tales of the Abyss came to mind first. I found a good chunk of the game to be ungodly boring. That's my vote for 40+ hour games.

I'm sure there are some indie games I've played that I hated in the end, but it's hard to care about a game nobody's heard of that's only a few hours long.

I beat the final boss in Touhou Ibunseki: Ayaria Dawn ReCreation (a monopoly-like game) recently

i like the game but also now hate a lot of it with a passion, including the entire story mode

most of the time if I don't like a game I won't stick through it to the end, but AI I was determined to see through to see if it got better. and wow, did it not

Lagoon and Final Fantasy VIII...
Both games I kept playing out of sheer stubbornness and I pretty much hate played them towards the end.
Atleast both games have good music...
