| zinezinzadan 12/13/18 2:38:19 AM #1 | It just occurred to me; online multiplayer can have ping of 1-300 ms depending on how far away you are from the main server station, type of internet stability, etc. Playing multiplayer matches on Xbox Live or Steam with your buddies all day is probably a completely different feeling from a LAN match. The LAN matches would be instantaneous and have zero lag; thus making it feel completely different from playing online. I just tested it by playing against bots offline in COD. It was a whole new game! It's hard to explain, but it was just so fast, my it markers felt responsive and smooth. SO to bring this all around my question. Would practicing online play have very little effect on your eSports play? I game with Xbox on an LGC7 TV with 21ms input lag and have been thinking of buying a proper monitor. I was going to get the BenQ RL2460, the former officially sponsored monitor for console gaming. Now, the Asus VG245H is the official sponsored monitor for COD Esports. Has anyone played both of these? Which is better? The BenQ costs more... Giving me the illusion that its better; and it also has a streaming port which is nice to eliminate lag from Elgato Capture cards. But the Asus has freesync which will give smoother gameplay. Idk which one to go with. They both have an input lag of 9ms. Although Asus has been tested at 7ms with Freesync enabled. To tell you the truth, I feel like there wont be a difference from 21ms TV to 9ms monitor. I mean 12ms difference seriously? Well see. Also side note, I dont understand VRRs relation to input lag. If I have a 144hz monitor. At native 144fps, tests online show I will get about 5ms input lag on most monitors. At 60fps on this 144hz screen, you will get about 12ms input lag. Now here is the confusion, it says with freesync or gsync enabled, you will get 6ms input lag, which is close to native refresh rate of 144fps. How does this work? Drivers of that time quoted him as having this magical ability to step into any formula brand, a Ferrari or lotus or Benz, he had a knack for adjusting his depth perception to the limitation of the vehicle he was in. You could give him any formula, and only Senna would be able to get the fastest lap time out of that machines capabilities. Keep in mind this was the age before all the fancy computer traction control and ABS that do all the driving for you today. These guys REALLY knew how to drive. I walked in, and no one acknowledged me.. multiple barbers were in there and nothing.. I felt like I didnt belong and that pissed me off tbh. Finally one guy approached me and asked me if he could help me. Wtf? Can he help me? How about hi are you looking for a haircut?. So I tell him I want my neck and ears trimmed and split ends checked. He said he cant do split ends; I said whatever its cool. He trimmed me for 40 min and he really put in effort. I appreciated his work because he put more heart into it than a wealthy neighborhood barber would have, I guarantee you that. So I tipped him double what the price of the cut was, I handed him $40 and he was blown away. Almost speechless, he didnt know what to say. Why am I sharing this story? Because he cut my entire fucking face and neck. The whole time while I was receiving the cut, it hurt. I just figured it was normal and Im not used to anyones clippers but my own moms. He applied rubbing alcohol after the cut and I died inside... I went home and saw the huge cuts. How would this even happen? Is it possible that he did this on purpose? Im gna screw this white boy type of deal? I would hate to believe that; Ive never been that type of person. Im just speechless about this. I love helping communities that are less fortunate. I love giving big tips to the workers that actually need it. But now I find it hard to go back because of this. I just cant wrap my mind around it. He mustve used a dull blade or something on purpose. Isnt it a barbers sole job to keep his blades nice. My mom said that he just misaligned it and thats all.
