DW games are far more consistent to the point where they can be compressed to about one game per era and still be the same things. It's part of the series' charm, but contrast this to the FF universe with loads more unique content and music that's an order of magnitude superior and the gap is too wide.

Were this actually true, Robin would've ended up with Scooter.

This is a terrible lesson to glean from the show and not what Ted actually did. He went through girl after girl after girl after girl. And most of them were good to him. Kind, understanding, funny, attractive. He fucked up every single one of them because he couldn't get his mind off Robin. The only relationship he had that was successful was with the Mother and that was an afterthought. And she died anyways.

Ted didn't just "go for it". He'd constantly wade in and out of those waters and left a lot of women in his wake because he is a legit terrible person who lacks empathy and commitment.

No, it's not. It's a bicolor cake and a relatively normal, off the shelf product. The customer was denied service either because it was intended to be used to celebrate something which made the producer feel uncomfortable, or because the customer themself was also someone who made the producer uncomfortable.

It's like a carrot farmer denying someone a carrot because they'll be shoving it up their ass. Identical product, different utilization by the consumer.

There's no way to have a useless party member because you can change jobs at will and everyone can be the same thing. 3x Monk + White Mage can be very effective against some bosses, for example.

At endgame, your final job will be the Freelancer or Mime class. Freelancer, notably, auto-gets ALL passives from classes you've master. So mastered monk+ninja+samurai = automatic counter, dual wield, and super evasion. Mimic, otoh, gets 3 assignable slots which is better for mage-types so they can go White Magic+Red Magic+Time Magic or something.

General tips:

- Always have someone with white magic on the crew, either as an active job class or secondary skill. Same with Time Magic, once it's available. Haste is very worthwhile and once you get aoe shell and protect (and haste) use them at every boss.

- Black magic is meh, personally. I prefer Mystic Knights, although they often have to burn an initial turn to self-enhance.

- For whatever strange reason, Knights' passive of "hold a weapon in both hands for double damage" is never automatic. Even as a freelancer you need to burn a slot to equip it so it's rarely worthwhile.

- Animal/Elemental from the Hunter/Geomancer classes are wonderful midgame secondary ability for your mages for decent damage output while costing 0 MP. At lategame this gets replaced with DragonSword, from the Dragoon, because it lets them spam high damage/healing spells and then self ether on the fly.

- General comp of two fighters / two mages works fine. Comp of everyone being both fighter and mage also works. When a physical class equips a magical secondary, they gain a bunch of MP and magic stat so they're roughly identical to being said mage class.

- Blue Mages are fun enough, but involve some babysitting and sometimes the Mediator class to control certain bad guys.

- Max level red magic enables you to doublecast. So red mage with white magic secondary or vice versa = protectga and curaga in the same action.

Close enough, imo. I just wanted to make sure you weren't friendzoning yourself. "I take you" should convey enough date-esque stuff, and if they're dolled up too then they got the memo. So good job with that part.

Touching while on a meal date is kinda hard, yeah. It's easier when you're closer (say, noon and 3 oclock, not noon and 6). Stuff like having a toasting or reaching onto her plate for a stab of food are also means to poke into her bubble. Otherwise just stick to the occasional compliment and innuendo speech, and go to not-dining venues where you can be alongside or near her.

The only quesion is that I wonder, how could i have taken the next step and establish a more intimate/sexual tone without turning them off and ruining the good thing I have going on?

With all of these events, how many did you refer to as a date when you asked the girl about them?

ie, was it "Would you like to go on a date this friday?" or was it "Wanna grab a bite to eat?"

Because that's step one. If you're just casually hanging out or eating a meal together, that's not a date. Asking for a date communicates that you have romantic and/or sexual interest in the girl, and her acceptance would imply that she's willing to give you a shot at the very least, or also hopefully has some romantic or sexual interest for you of her own.

From there you'll want to get into her personal bubble and see how she responds. Hopefully it'll be the ol' R&E (reciprocation and escalation). Like, you touch her arm/shoulder at some point (briefly) and then she'll touch back shortly after. Then you're free to touch other parts and/or for a longer duration.

It helps to throw in compliments during conversation like how attractive or interesting you think she is, and hopefully she'll also remark similar with you. A sex pun or some innuendo speech is also good. If she's making no such comments she's either woefully oblivious or just not feeling it.

Make sure your place is clean. Venue changes are welcome and inviting a girl over to your place often has the overtone for physical/sexual stuff happening. But if it's messy as hell you'll be too embarrassed and not extend the offer! There's a decent chance she'll politely decline because she's "not that sort of girl" or honestly just tired and wanting to go back to her own bed. Which is fine enough, too. But just offering your place and not going is worlds better than not even offering it. Y'all can have a 2nd or 3rd date there; you can cook and y'all can watch a movie, for example.

~

Most girls rarely initiate anything. Through both nature and nurture, guys tend to be more aggressive for such things. If you're being a shy, passive wallflower you're competing with a dude who's able to walk up to her, start a conversation, and through both verbal and nonverbal communication get her physical affection and/or a date shortly thereafter. There's no incentive for females to be proactive since guys do all the heavy lifting.
