It's kinda wild that one tweet, one bizarre firing, changed the entire trajectory of the entire new arc.

So now they dropped it and just doing another one and I guess they paid neve extra hard. They didn't bring her on last time because they were paying jenna and melissa, but now that both are gone I guess they had enough money to pay neve cambell.

After how Spyglass handled Melissa Barrera firing for her support of Palestine, I'm boycotting the series and any movies they produce.

There are going to be a lot of cameos from my understanding. Which doesnt necessarily mean that anyone is or is not alive. There could be scenes where Sidney is remembering things or being haunted by ghosts like in Scream 3 and the scenes with her mother.

I do think there is a good chance Stu is alive, and I have been expecting him since Scream 5 honestly. He never got shot in the head, and every movie always kind of plays with the fact that you have to shoot them in the head to kill them. I dont necessarily expect anyone else to come back from the dead though.

It had nothing to do with pay or scheduling, the Wednesday actress told The Cut in an interview out Monday. The Melissa stuff was happening and it was all kind of falling apart.

I don't want to watch the trailer for this exact reason. I want to be surprised.

Just the fact that they're bringing back Matthew Lillard (which was revealed months ago) bothers me since his character was confirmed dead a few times throughout the franchise as a whole, which suggests to me that he not only somehow survived, but also somehow convinced everyone who knew him that he has been dead for decades.

It totally is. Spyglass thinks they can use nostalgia to make people forget/overlook them firing Melissa Barrera for speaking out against genocide, and it seems to be working on a lot of people.

I love the Scream series, but I'm not watching anything produced by Spyglass. Fuck em.

At 1:10 in the trailer as Ghostface sits up, they're breathing heavily and it kinda sounds like an oxygen machine to me.

I think if Stu isn't alive it's going to piss off a lot of people especially after the line in VI by Mindy and the subsequent look from Kirby and Matthew Lillard posting the video.

I have intensely mixed feelings about the entire movie honestly.

Scream is my favorite horror movie series and I've honestly enjoyed every single movie in it to some extent.

But man does the Melissa Barrera situation just cast such a cloud over this one.

Idk how to feel about it. On a lot of levels, I just blame Spyglass and feel bad for the actors/writers/director of the movie, but I also can't deny that it just makes the entire movie feel kind of gross in its own way.

I guess I just hope that the movie turns out good, but I also don't think I'm going to go support it in theaters and may not watch it at all. It'd be nice if something would happen that would allow for Melissa to return in a hypothetical 8 and for this entire situation to just be resolved somewhat cleanly, but that feels overly optimistic.
