I wonder if this is what a computer dreams when it sleeps.

I think people like this developer(?) look at this and think that it will just need some ironing out some of the little inconsistencies and look at all of the work that has already been done, a great AAA product is just there ready to be taken and monetized. Maybe someday that actually will be a reality. Who knows if we will ever actually get to a point where it can keep any track of what it is presenting long enough to not come across as a bizarre dreamscape of shifting terrains. Regardless though we will probably get shoveled something like this sooner than later and expected to pay full price for it.

You can tell who has never been to a city here just by the fact that they aren't aware that random subway cars actually do materialize on the platform. Nothing in that game is incorrect.

Quite honestly, I think there is a huge potential in making a game like that as psychological horror. No human could ever come up with something that surreal and bizarre.

The clip was edited beyond the AI, so we can't even know how much is actually real or not. One of the comments pointed out that for a split second after the "player" chooses an option, the text turns into regular AI text jumble, meaning somebody edited the text in the video itself and missed some frames. If they edited the text, who knows what else was edited.

And yeah, the (lack of) object permanence seems to be a huge flaw. A unique one in that it makes it sorta trippy and being the only reason this is entertaining to anyone, but also showing an obvious limitation.
