If Entei used Roar while trapped in the Whirlpool, he is gone forever.

I did a google and it looks like that is indeed exclusive to FRLG but if you know otherwise let me know

This sounds like an absurd glitch...

More of a coding oversight, whoever did it forgot that there are other ways for a wild Pokemon to escape.

My bad, I thought he said he'll announce details in the summer.

FlyingForever posted...
You think he will announce it, possibly leave nominations open a week or two, leave the bracket up like 3 weeks after, then have the entire content concluded all in almost exactly 2 months time?

Nominations and predictions have taken 4-6 weeks previously and really it just needs to start in summer for his statement to be correct.

Basically he has 4-6 weeks to announce the next contest for it to start before fall.

It is totally a football thing too. You look at the other typically English sports like Rugby or Cricket and the referee gets the utmost respect. Absolutely zero negative interaction with the ref. And that's how it should be.

I don't know where it creeps in either because when I used to referee for like a 2 year period I never had any players or parents argue with me.

I think it comes down to the fact that refs are more expendable in football relative to other sports and the players take advantage of this.

MLS refs went on strike a few seasons ago and the league brought in replacement refs. The union caved after a few weeks because the replacement refs were doing as good of a job as the striking refs.

Overall I liked the run. The player had a good run and it's great to watch this mode. The couch commentators were a bit nervous at the beginning, messing up when trying to talk about certain techniques, but once that was done they were pretty good.

One of the cool things about GDQs is the games that I've never heard of being ran. The game looks neat, I may play it some day. There were a few unfortunate, but understandable deaths in the run. It was fun that one of the couch commentators played, but never speed ran the game, just to see his reaction.

Solid run with the exception of one trick. The runner was good at collectable management which is something I like in speedrunning games. The couch could have been a bit more entertaining and maybe a bit more informative though I understood most things that went on.

Pretty good starting game. The game's tricks were well explained and executed fairly well. The only exception was the large skip, but the set-up was quite long and convoluted for a person that hasn't seen the trick before. The fact that it was rerouted so quickly due to a new glitch was fairly impressive.

Also it's not just England fans. Bookmaker odds universallt have England as the 4th favorite behind France, Brazil and narrowly behind Croatia. And Croatia are only ahead of them because they have already qualified for the quarter finals, they were behind them prior to that

Which means bookmakers think England are the strongest team in that half. Granted this might be somewhat slanted towards minimizing losses due to heavy betting from England fans but I'm looking at odds across all bookmakers, not just English ones. Seems like the consensus is:

Brazil - 7/2
France - 7/2
Croatia - 5/1 to 11/2
England - 11/2 to 6/1
Belgium - 6/1
Uruguay - 14/1
Colombia - 18/1

Everyone else varies between 20/1 (Russia) and 200/1 (Japan)

If England beat Colombia I'd imagine their odds would shorten to about 4/1

Not exactly, Like you said, bookmakers take into account interest from bettors. If everyone started to put money on Japan their odds would go up. Their job isn't to give proper odds, it's to maximize their profits.

I'm not arguing that one is better than the other just that I would understand why randomizer may have taken a while the be added to gdq (because they are using a hack) than bingo. So it was weird seeing randomizers being showcased first.

Though they do showcased hacked games so I guess the whole point is moot.

I actually think Randomizer is potentially easier for an observer to understand starting from zero knowledge. At least in randomizer you actually clear the game you're playing.

Some bingos have you beating the game after completing the required row/column.

At what point does a cake become gay? Did they want a generic wedding cake? There names on the cake? Two grooms on the top of the cake?

His shop likely doesn't sell pumpkin shaped cakes so that's simple enough, but if his shop sells wedding cakes and they wanted one then that's wrong.

Nobody said a cake was gay. A cake doesn't have a sexual orientation.

But, a cake can be made to symbolize a gay occasion. From what I understand, they were offered a generic cake.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Was it a generic wedding cake?

It's not like anyone has been impressive, tbh a Uruguay/Croatia final is possible with the way the teams have played.
