Neither is better or worse way to go, it just depends what kind of person you are.

Oh by the way, net neutrality in the US ended today, and the supreme court ruled 5-4 that voter purges due to inactivity are ok.

Big wins for the trump team. Gotta vote in November, folks.

How long do they have to wait before they can purge? In Canada you are removed after some time of inactivity, mostly to remove the dead and people who move and fail to report the change.

Of course in Canada we have same day registration so it isn't a big deal outside of it taking ~10 minutes longer to vote.

Or the people of Crimea?

saying "the people of crimea" wanted crimea to get back to russia is pretty misleading (and makes it sound like you just take vlado's bullshit at face value). plenty of people of crimea didn't want this at all (hence the conflicts in the region).

The UN Development Program had commissioned polls in the region and 60-70% wanted to join Russia from 2009-2011. Sure plenty of people wanted to stay with the Ukraine, but that's a strong majority and that was before the events of 2014 which would have likely pushed more people to side with moving to Russia.

Here are the results of the Ontario provincial election

Conservatives - 76 (40.50%)
NDP - 40 (33.56%)
Liberals - 7 (19.59%)
Green - 1 (4.60%)

2014 Map
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e8/Ontario_Provincial_Election_2014_Riding_Results_Map.svg

2018 Map
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/73/Ontario_general_election_2018_-_Results_by_Riding.svg

The Conservatives were able to grab a majority while the previously ruling Liberals lose party recognition status meaning they will be treated as independents. The Conservatives may give them an exemption and lower the threshold of 8. The Greens make history and win their first seat in Ontario.

The Ontario provincial election is today, here's what the map looked like in 2014

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e8/Ontario_Provincial_Election_2014_Riding_Results_Map.svg

Since then the boundaries have changed and we now have 124 ridings. Overall the population is tired of the Liberals and at a time it looked like the Conservatives may push for triple digits, then their leader resigned due to a sex scandal and was replaced by the populist Doug Ford (the brother of the late crack smoking mayor of Toronto).

At first there wasn't much change since the alternative was the Liberals, however once the NDP overtook the Liberals the not-Liberals people had a different option and now we are in a close race, though the Conservatives have the vote distribution advantage. The Conservatives have a recent history of choking in Ontario, but if they somehow lose this it would be their most embarrassing yet.

Also the Green party has pretty much put most of their resources in an attempt to win a seat in Guelph, which would be their first seat in Ontario.

Canada's response to the US tariffs

http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/trump-steel-deadline-1.4685242

Canada is countering the United States' move to slap punishing tariffs on steel and aluminum imports by imposing dollar-for-dollar tariffs of its own on everything from steel products to maple syrup.

Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland said Canada is hitting back with duties of up to $16.6 billion on some steel and aluminum products and other goods from the U.S. including beer kegs, whisky, toilet paper and "hair lacquers."

A-tier
Mario (mainline)
Pokemon
Mario Kart
Animal Crossing

B-tier
Super Smash Bros.
The Legend of Zelda
Splatoon

C-tier
Donkey Kong
Kirby
Metroid
Fire Emblem
Mario Party
Mario RPG
Xenoblade

D-tier
Pikmin
WarioWare
Yoshi

E-tier
Kid Icarus
Punch-Out

F-tier
F-Zero
Mother
Golden Sun
Advance Wars

Not sure where the rank "Wii" series since they made a lot of money for Nintendo, but I doubt they will release any more games.

I said it was an oversimplification.

What percentage of the population would you sleep with? I doubt it's anywhere near the majority for most people. Of course the type of women I would sleep with won't completely overlap the type of women someone else would sleep with. Some women are desirable by most men and vice versa, but pretty much everyone has a subset of people that would find them attractive.

Match I - (1) Mario vs. (16) Servbot

Games Featured

Mario
Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario Bros. 3
Super Mario World
Super Mario 64

Servbot
Mega Man Legends
Mega Man Legends 2

Analysis

What a novelty idea CJayC has, 64 characters going head to head until one is declared the winner. There are some questionable choices as to the characters in the bracket and Servbot is definitely one of them. If you wanted a Mega Man Legends character why not Tron Bonne?

Mario is a gaming legend and is one of the favourites to win the bracket. He also has one of the biggest games of the year coming out in about a month; Super Mario Sunshine. Overall I expect this to be one of the largest blowouts of the contest. It wouldn't surprise me if Servbot ended up being one of the weakest characters of the tournament.

charmander6000's Bracket: Mario > Servbot
