Oh yeah, for anyone who, like me, was fooled by cliffy's blindfolded super mario maker level the first time...jaku pointed out to me afterward that the whole level is pretty much an autoscroller. You just hold up and right and it plays itself.

I just watched the zelda 1 race this morning. Lackattack's run was so impressive. Deathless low% at a marathon. Wow.

Yeah, for sheer quality of run I think that one has to be very close to (if not at) the top of the list

Yeah, his Zelda 1 run was really good. Also, the problems the other players ran into help highlight just how challenging the run was.

Spyro the Dragon - Any%
6.5/10
Solid run with the exception of one trick. The runner was good at collectable management which is something I like in speedrunning games. The couch could have been a bit more entertaining and maybe a bit more informative though I understood most things that went on.

6.0/10
One of the cool things about GDQs is the games that I've never heard of being ran. The game looks neat, I may play it some day. There were a few unfortunate, but understandable deaths in the run. It was fun that one of the couch commentators played, but never speed ran the game, just to see his reaction.

Next weekend (July 13-15) there is an 8-team, approximately 50-hour relay race. Each team has 8-10 runners. It's a relay race of the 100% categories for:

-SM64, SMS, Galaxy, Galaxy 2

-Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, DK64

-Spyro 1, Spyro 2, Spyro 3

-Crash Bandicoot 1, Crash Bandicoot 2, Crash Bandicoot 3

I guess they did it last year, too, but I never heard about it. I probably won't watch much of it...but that's still a pretty cool thing.

I was on back couch for Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 and a couple other runs. I can't believe how good some people are at keeping their yell going.

Overall I liked the run. The player had a good run and it's great to watch this mode. The couch commentators were a bit nervous at the beginning, messing up when trying to talk about certain techniques, but once that was done they were pretty good.

Someone on reddit analyzed the youtube statistics of all the SGDQ videos to measure which runs were the most and least underrated.

It took the ratio of upvotes to downvotes for each video and divided that by the % of total SGDQ video views which have gone to that particular run. So if something has 99 upvotes to every 1 downvote, but it's only received 0.05% of all SGDQ 2018 views, it would be close to the top.

They're ordered with most underrated at the top: Bionic Commando.

Watching Bionic Commando now...pretty cool so far. "Throwing a car is legitimately the best way to snipe someone" is a great quote from it.

So 30% of games were underrated and 70% were overrated. Huh.

Well it's not a measurement for overrated, per se. Like cuphead has a ton of the overall views, relatively speaking. That's probably more to do with it being at the bottom than the Upvote/Downvote ratio.

I was just copying the reddit user's wording, but underrated/overrated probably wasn't the best way to phrase it. It's more just a way to identify quality runs which were overlooked. Not necessarily quality runs which got worse reviews than they deserved, which I think is closer to what "underrated" actually means.
