I guess Lynch wanted to subvert expectations by making Audrey's reintroduction pretty mundane, but that whole scene didn't need to be ten minutes long. Also the Dr. Amp scene was basically identical to the last one we saw. The Sarah Palmer scenes were fantastic but after last week this episode really felt like they slammed on the brakes and killed off the momentum. I have to wonder how much of it is intentional blue-balling by Lynch because both the Audrey scene and Gordon's scene with the French girl had an air of impatience about them. kevwaffles posted... Haven't watched the episode, but it wasn't hard to guess who was being mentioned. I think Big Ed is the last returning character we haven't seen, though I'm still holding on to foolish hope of a Michael Ontkean cameo at the end. --- |

I dunno maybe there's like a youtube video around where someone does that irl so it's technically physically possible, but Roland's character strikes me as too serious and practical for fancy crap like that. Hopefully they put the most action-packed parts in there to attract the casual audience and the actual movie is a lot quieter than the trailer implies. --- |
