Another perfect example. There is a patron who is a regular here. He is sitting at the computer that is directly in my line of site. He just pulls up these emails that have a picture of a clipart truck and he does this weird deep giggle every time he looks at it. He will legitimately do this all day and then walk around and ask all of the staff if it will rain today

I am going to start working at my university's library as a research assistant and I was warned by my supervisor that some of the people who are alumni and use the library regularly can be a little nutty. I'm looking forward to it, to be honest...I hope I have interesting stories to tell like you haha.

I was having coffee at a place the other day, and was on the way back from the bathroom when a guy walking by in the street outside started ranting to me through the window about the recently vacated table still having empty cups on it. He went on for like 2 straight minutes glaring at me as he spoke without blinking. I just stared at him and then said "uh I don't work here" but he ignored me and pointed to a sticker on the window which had the cafe's hygiene rating on it and said he'd get it lowered from a 4 to a 3.

That was a weird time.

Not as weird as this though.

I loved working for the UCF library while I was in college so hopefully it goes the same for you! M your supervisor is absolutely right about the regulars. They tend to be your nuttiest ones.
