Been rewatching some Monk, still a hilarious show with some really great moments of drama. I also like the very light noir motifs sprinkled in every now and then.

iZombie is an amazing show.

Monk is an all time classic.

Icon we have shared much bitterness over the years but perhaps we can bond over the T.V.

Alright, here's a funny one on a totally whatever new sitcom. Credit for this find goes to NeoGAF user chadskin.

Yesterday:
Leah Remini is staying put on CBS’ Kevin Can Wait.

After guest-starring in the comedy’s two-part Season 1 finale last month, Kevin James’ former King of Queens leading lady will be rejoining him on the sitcom this fall as a full-fledged series regular, the network announced on Friday.
http://tvline.com/2017/06/02/kevin-c...eries-regular/

Today:
Erinn Hayes, who portrayed Kevin James’ wife Donna in Season 1 of the CBS sitcom, will not be returning for Season 2, TVLine has learned exclusively.
http://tvline.com/2017/06/02/kevin-c...eries-regular/

lol

King of Queens is back!

Also, Leah Remini did a really fantastic A&E documentary series on Scientology last season that's about to start up again for a Season 2. I recommend it.

I don't like notifications, so I don't give others notifications

and yet, I make so many discussion topics...

I'm kinda down on a lot of TV right now. I dropped UKS because Tina Fey can't take criticism and her shows suffer for it. I dropped Better Call Saul because I'm tired of watching prestige shows where we're just waiting to see how somebody breaks. I dropped Fargo because this new season seems totally fine but there's no centre there, nothing to hold me. The Handmaid's Tale has so much it could say about race but refuses to. Anne With An E offended me as a Canadian. It just seems that for every one show I like, there's four shows that tire me.

Not everything is bad, though. Master of None is still brilliant. The Thanksgiving episode is one of the most heartfelt episodes of television I've ever watched. The new MST3k is great. While jokes fly fast and loose, with punchlines hitting before lines of dialogue end, the mileage it gets out of its likable cast is remarkable. The Kaiju Rap, or duet between Felicia Day and Neil Patrick Harris are instant classics. Girlboss is kind of a nothing show but everyone dresses wonderfully and it's a nice way to pass the time. I've been revisiting loved shows as well, like The Good Wife and Twin Peaks. Suree and I want to rewatch The Good Wife before we start on The Good Fight. That show is so good. It never got the credit (on the internet) it deserved. Suree had also never seen Twin Peaks but wanted to watch the new season, so right now we're right in the middle of the slow period in S2. It's been a decade since I last watched it, but the theme song still tugs at my heart. Oh, and we rewatched The Thick of It, because we wanted a grounded take on politics while the world burns.

I don't really know what I want to watch right now? Maybe I'll see if Love S2 is any better than S1. There's been enough time between the two seasons that I feel like I can forget what I found so off-putting the first time around. Or maybe now is the time to get deep into GameCenter CX.

Oh, and I guess it's TV related but I've really gotten into the work of Stewart Lee lately. This kills me:

I couldn't help myself, so I just went ahead and finished the season of The Americans. It fills me with the best kind of dread. Of course, now I need to sleep because I have work in 6 hours, and my brain can't really shut down properly, but it's a Sunday shift so it won't be *that* bad.

Almost caught up with Bojack Horseman. Maybe it's presumptuous of me to say it right now, but this might be the best Netflix original show.

I still need to see all of S3 of Kimmy Schmidt. It might not be the best, but it's the one that makes me laugh the most consistently.

Master of None got maybe a bit too cute for me this second season. Still a great show though.

I think Better Call Saul is fantastic and is relentlessly compelling character work.

Still have only seen the very first episode of Orange is the New Black season two. Really like the first one.

Really need to get around to watching Handmaid's Tale and American Gods.

I recently finished 24: Legacy. It was okay, but it was basic 24. The writers really didn't think to make anything different, it is essentially just the first season of 24 with a couple of twists.

I also recently finished Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. It's real good. The ending to the season was disappointing, considering how good the season itself was, but I'm still hype enough about the next season. Still miss Bobbi though. :(

I also recently finished Archer. I really liked the concept of Dreamland, but execution-wise it wasn't as great. They're still going to do 2-3 more seasons so I wonder how they'll make those work.

I'm currently watching Doctor Who. The season started off strongly, but I've not been thrilled about the recent Monk arc. Hope the season can finish as strongly as it started.

I don't know what I'm missing with Master of None. I saw 2 episodes and found it cutesy, stilted, and terribly acted all around. I get that his parents aren't professional actors, but Kelvin Yu presumably is, right?

I should give Lady Dynamite another shot. First two episodes were alright despite a lot of the 4th wall breaking not working for me, but the race episode was exhausting and I haven't gone back since.

I will probably watch Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, even though I thought the second season was a bit of a dud.

What I find interesting about Master of None is the characters themselves, not the acting. It's all performative artifice, with people putting out heightened personas to shelter them from any harm while trying to get closer to other people. I think the show has a unique insight into love and dating that other shows don't offer. It's unique, a wholly unified creative vision. But it's definitely an all or nothing show too.

that's definitely the low point of the season. It rebounds well as the season goes on with less meta-comedy and more focus on issues important to Bamford. There's a great balance between sincere character moments, and outlandish characters that I think elevate Lady Dynamite from other anxiety comedies. Fred Melamed's excessive lack of humility kills me. Ana Gasteyer steals scenes as this megalomaniacal Lean In power feminist. Most of the show hit for me, and it was among my favourites of last year.

Not my problem, I just wanna watch this one:

Ryohei Tsukuda (Hiroshi Abe) worked as a researcher at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency. He now runs a family-owned factory that manufactures small engines. His daughter Rina (Tao Tsuchiya) is a high school student. He doesn't get along well with his daughter, but the family owned business is improving. Ryohei attempts to develop a rocket engine, which is a lifelong dream for him, but it causes his factory to suffer.

One day, an important client stops ordering from Ryohei's company. He tries to borrow money from the bank, but the bank declines his loan application. To make matters worse, a rival factory sues Ryohei's company for patent infringement. Ryohei and his employees face a dire situation.

At this time, a large company offers a deal to Ryohei. The company wants to buy their patent for 2 billion yen. Ryohei must decide whether to sell the company's patent or follow his dream.
