You just have to understand the match up and know each character's strength and weaknesses which is asking a lot considering how large the roster is but it's doable considering that you run into the same 15 characters or so online consistently. I play an old school 2D fighting game called Vampire Savior made by Capcom. It's like Street Fighter but with Halloween characters. Anyways, it's a small roster of 16 characters but you run into the same three or four characters online every single time because of how OP and braindead easy they are to play. A character called Sasquatch has high health, high damage output, unreadable mixups, unfathomable movement speed with shorthops, and so on. His only weakness is his slow movement speed and poor air game. Another character called Lord Raptor, though hard to play, has an answer for everything and can be played any way effectively. It's annoying as fuck running into these characters constantly because I'm at a huge disadvantage due to their kits are 10x better but I just deal with it. If the character doesn't have any exploitable weakness, you just have to outplay the opponent. Easier said than done. Actually, one of the best players in the world who plays Vampire Savior mains the worst character in the game and he has won major tournaments with said character. Winning with low tiers is basically fighting an uphill battle but it's incredibly more satisfying than playing a high/top tier character and winning. Getting angry will just make you play more poorly. Don't think about winning the match for now. Just think about improving so that you can do better next time. Helps me. --- |

Black Eagles feels more like standard Fire Emblem but with worse writing than the other two houses. This game has plenty of replay value so dont worry about missing out because youll likely do one or two more playthroughs if you like the game enough. Its a fun game so just sit back and enjoy the nearly 70 hour long first play through. --- |

Any multiplayer game, Im the guy who has to be taken out first even if Ive never played the game myself. I probably wouldnt be so annoyed if they didnt feel the need to brag about beating me. It gets old fast. If I had a friend who was far better than me at something and I cared that much about winning against him, I would work on beating him myself. Not teaming up to do a 4,5,6 or sometimes 7v1 then feel amazing about winning in that scenario. Tournament players know to let loose and just enjoy the game casually with friends. These dudes take winning in a video game with friends as if its life or death. When they get heated about a loss, I constantly remind them its just a video game. Its not serious lol --- |

I dont mind losing since its just a video game but its these dudes take the game mad seriously at times. As soon as the match starts, everyone guns for me. If I had a huge life lead, its whatever. Makes sense. Not the case here. From the start to the end, I always have to be the first to be taken out otherwise I would win. I am better at the game but its not like I try hard. I try to hold back without making it obvious I am. When I play with them, I do it for fun and laughs. I think having a good time is better than pure winning when playing with friends. However, these dudes are constantly cheering against me when its 1v1, putting me down, training amiibos to beat me, celebrating when Im taken out, teaming up against me. I just want to have whacky fun. Who cares about taking things seriously, picking viable stages, no items or stage hazards. This isnt a tournament lol. If someone was better than me, I would not team up with 5 other guys and try to get a win. If I really cared about winning that much, I would get good enough to best that player 1 on 1. I dont brag about winning or being better since its just a stupid video game. When I lose, Im dead silent nor do I make excuses. Whether I lose or win, who cares. However, they love to brag and gloat to me whenever they win. Its so tiresome to point where Im not really having fun and Id rather be somewhere else but its my game so I dont want to come across as an ass who leaves and they have to call it a night. Is all Smash sessions with local friends like this? Im just looking for goofy fun. Ill play online or enter a local tournament if I want to play seriously. People take video games way too seriously. --- |

| The_Scarecrow 12/26/19 2:14:45 PM #1 | Ive put in about 10 hours. Have three badges and a full team. Ive been mostly messing around in Wild Area and looking for favorites. The game has a solid foundation going for it. GameFreak just needs to perfect it which is a long shot. The Wild Area is a great concept. I like what the game has done with it so far. Picking and choosing which Pokemon I want to encounter is more convenient than pure random encounter though Im glad both options are present for the player. The Raid Battles are neat though I havent done them much so I cant give a thorough opinion. I like how some of the towns look in terms of design though I wish there was more to do while exploring the towns. Aside from Hop, I like a majority of the cast. Nothing spectacular but they are fine. Hop is annoying. Dont care for Team Yell but I like Marnie. Wish the game was a little more difficult but Ive had some close calls with the gym leaders mainly due to not having any type advantage. I want to point out that I am limiting myself somewhat in order to provide more of a challenge. Would be really nice if GF had difficulty options or something.. The whole Dexit business and general GF laziness is still inexcusable but I think the game is okay so far. Im rocking Raboot, Corvisquire, Hattena, Impidimp, Vespiqueen, and Froslass. Was supposed to have Galar Corsola and Frosmoth but I decided to go with old favorites. --- |
