I'm all over this but trying not to get my hopes up.

It's certainly possible though, since I believe Netflix's contract with Disney will be over by the time Spider-Man 3 comes out.

Pretty much exactly how I feel about it. I am really hoping it works out. I could see since Sony has more control over these movies, it might help get passed Feige's dislike of the tv shows. Cause they are allowed to use marvel characters thanks to their agreement, and they ultimately have final say over what happens in Spider-Man movies despite letting the marvel studios people help figure out how to do it.

the only thing keeping them canon or removing them from it is the whim of the Feige. Recasting the characters / reusing an actor is meaningless.

I feel like Marvel Studios want to distance themselves from Marvel Netflix, so I don't believe this for a second.

That being said, I wouldn't mind Daredevil being the one to make the jump as Daredevil Season 1 and 3 were the crown jewels of Marvel Netflix. Even if it was just bringing back Charlie Cox.

I think the sony factor helps.

Like just follow this train of logic for a second.
Someone at Sony knows that Kingpin is s fan favorite Spidey villain.
But they couldn't use him before because fox had the rights.
Then marvel gets the rights for Daredevil and Kingpin back.
And then Sony makes the deal to use marvel characters in Spidey films in trade for letting Spidey be in Marvel.
Now the people at Sony who like Kingpin see that they might only be able to make one more movie with the marvel deal.

So they think about it and realize they potentially have the ability to use kingpin as the villain and bring in Dardevil too with two awesome actors.

Even if Feige doesnt wanna do anything with the tv side cause of Ike, the guys at Sony might not give a shit, and all they have to ask is if it is technically possible, which it is.

Boom, Sony becomes a big hero and saves Charlie and Vincent and cements them ad those characters in the MCU. The fans love it and now they support Sony more in the next round of negotiations.

If they can make Venom 2 actually good with Woody as Carnage, and Andy Serkis directing. If they realize Tom Hardy being crazy was the best part of the first one and have more of that and less boring plot stuff, it could be a critical as well as financial hit, instead of just financial.

Boom, Sony becomes the fan favorite company somehow flipping the tables and just letting people make awesome movies.

Just let it happen. Give me this universe.
