Any tips before I start? I beat Awakening and Birthright btw.

Each house only has like 2 people that can't be recruited so don't worry about that aspect too much.

Also play on hardest difficulty. Game is too easy for me, being a grown ass man.

Fliers are by far the best units in the game. Wyvern Lords in particular but Falcon Knights are good also.

Mages and archers are also particularly powerful, being the glass canons they always were but a little more powerful and ways to increase their range to like 5 spaces away

Explore the monastary fully once a month. By fully i mean like every room.

You dont want to waste time doing seminars or resting

You only want to do enough battles to do the paralogues and quests, otherwise the game becomes way too easy

Dont fish at all until you get the calendar event that lets you catch multiple fish per bait. Then on that day use all your bait.

Play hard mode, normal is way too easy, especially if you have already played FE games. You can always lower the difficulty, but you can't raise it.

Also, keep multiple save files, especially if you play Black Eagles since there is a major path split halfway through the game for them.

Just pick your favorite house and go from there. If you cant decide, Blue Lions is more character driven while Golden Deer is more lore/world building driven. Black Eagles feels more like standard Fire Emblem but with worse writing than the other two houses.

This game has plenty of replay value so dont worry about missing out because youll likely do one or two more playthroughs if you like the game enough.

Its a fun game so just sit back and enjoy the nearly 70 hour long first play through.

Golden Deer is more classic FE than Black Eagles Edelgard. Just because Black Eagles Edelgard has a dragon for the final boss doesn't make the evil route anything like traditional FE.
