I know theyve done polls of people in neighboring counties, where one had random checkpoints and one didnt, and both counties had a majority say they would be less likely to drink if they had to drive through that county. I think it's a fair thing to say. By all means, if you're being compliant and the police still do something wrong, then they should by all means be held 100% accountable, and the system needs to change so that that actually happens

But if you purposely resist, then you're basically inviting for them to react in whatever way they're going to react

So, really, if you hate/distrust the police, then I'd be placing my bets on being compliant being less of a risk than flat out basically giving them the freedom to do what they want by resisting.

So she flew out, did whatever, got ready to fly back... And they went "Nope." So there is definitely some blame on their end.

If you believe that 90% of the Bible is allegory/fable, I think it's intellectually dishonest to continue to call that Christianity. Same thing if you want to cut out the supernatural elements and just have a philosophy about how to live one's life. You can call it something else! That's okay!

Like maybe you think Jesus was a good dude with a lot of insights into societal reform, and you'd like to live by the principles he espoused during his life, but you don't believe in any of that "divinity" or "salvation" stuff. That's not even religious any more (since religion has to do with a higher power), let alone Christian, but it probably means you're kind/compassionate to the poor and downtrodden, which is a good thing.

Well, right. I was merely replying to his assertion that it's literally all or nothing. Even if it IS all or nothing, interpretation is still going to cause differences.

To be fair I think there's a bit of a sampling bias there in that I think people who search for wrestling merch are more likely to search for the guys with the most merch (Cena and Roman) than say AJ Styles or whoever else.

I'm not sure I follow. Are you saying people who are likely to search for merch to buy are more likely to search for Cena/Roman? How does that really change anything?
