Like to me if half your age + 7 is coming up in discussions very often with people you're socializing with it sounds like you should be the type who's defending the comments tbqh.

The whole argument is over the fact that Corrik is insisting that people don't find certain age differences or situations weird. I just used the "half your age + seven" thing as an example of one commonly known/referenced way people judge.

Under 2 mbps it would take you roughly 24 hours to download that update.
Under 5 mbps it would only take you 9 1/2 hours to download that same update
(and obviously under 10 mbps it would take you roughly 5 hours)

Sure, if you're only considering download speeds.

5mbps is the bare minimum most streaming services require, these days, and having that is typically going to knock you down into "SD only" territory on most services, anyway, same as 2-3 would. It's still pretty bad for anything but basic downloading and browsing/email.

I get your point, and it's not a bad one. My main point is the bigger issue is that rural still gets mostly fucked either way, and still only really have one option. In most areas, local government is not going to be able to be that option (or just won't). It's a nice thought and it's cool that it works in that area, but it's still not an ideal solution to just... Not fucking with a good thing (net neutrality).

I have fiber optic through my telecom instead of cable. I'm not saying everyone has that option, but many do.

Also, a 5M speed (pretty normal for a DSL offering) is fine for many people. Not if you're trying to game, sure, but browsing and email etc would be fine.

But if you're going to go that route, then net neutrality being gone isn't going to effect 99.9% of people who just browse and email, anyway.

Granted, Roman having it is no different than Miz having it, honestly. It just feels wasted on them. Give it to some lower card guy so they can get a little exposure.

Can't always have it on a lower card guy to elevate them. Then the belt loses its feel of being a championship and it stops elevating people because everyone will figure out it's just the push belt, aka "now that you have this, it's obvious to everyone that you're actually gonna be a world championship contender someday."

Sometimes you gotta put that championship on someone already established, because it will become a more important title. Then when one of those lower card guys gets the belt, he joins the ranks of some really great pro wrestlers and THEN he can be elevated.

I understand that it's been a while since it's been on one of those lower card guys, maybe close to two years at this point, and that it should be put on someone that needs it more than Reigns or Miz. But just keep in mind that this will probably help the belt and make it feel even more important as a championship when they eventually do take it off the guys that are already established.

This. Miz harping on about making it a big deal loses impact if Apollo Crews is coming after it. But if he insists it's a big deal, and then somebody like Reigns actually wants it? It builds it up more.

Now, they obviously need to use it to elevate somebody pretty soon, but this was a good call.

Even before black friday creep, people who work for restaurants, movie theaters, hospitals, TV stations, Law enforcement, DoD, EMTs/firefighters, and so on have worked on Thanksgiving.

To be fair, for a lot of those jobs its just a normal day, work-wise. For retail, its a major uptick in work and the pay is likely a lot worse

This sounds like what should have been an easily cleared up mistake, but these clowns are getting into fistfights with each other instead of just verifying with the other precinct, so they deserve any criticism they get.

To be fair, undercover isn't supposed to reveal themselves under almost any circumstances, so once it started, there was really no stopping it, since you really shouldn't be believing somebody who says "I'm an undercover cop" because they shouldn't be saying it in the first place. But they apparently had to because precincts didn't communicate.

It should have been made known ahead of time so it never started to begin with.

I think the point is that regardless of who it is, you shouldn't be throwing around terms like "child molester" without actual proof, period. That in itself is the offensive part.
