Following the announcement of a Wakanda series for Disney+ a week or two ago, I wouldn't be terribly surprised if Black Panther 2 has been or will be quietly cancelled, and the Wakanda series is intended as a replacement.

I've been expecting Aqua to drop for about 50 waifus now because of the professional adventurer thing, so I'm pleasantly surprised she held out so long.

I'm late on this, but in retrospect, I think Age of Ultron was the beginning of the end for Joss Whedon. Prior to that, he had his cult fandom geek cred that effectively made him untouchable, but after Age of Ultron audiences started to turn on him. Then came the one-two punch of Justice League to remove any film-making credibility he had left, soon followed by his ex-wife MeToo-ing him as an emotionally abusive serial adulterer, destroying his reputation as the original male feminist.

It occurs to me now that Goose would fit right in to a Men in Black film.

I like that I could find some positives in Thor: The Dark World despite ranking it at number 23. Although there are some Marvel films I dislike overall, I don't consider any of them to be outright terrible. Among the lower ranked ones, there are some I consider to be mediocre, and others that are simply not my thing, although plenty of other people like them and I'm happy that others get enjoyment from them.

On topic, I'm already an outlier! I'm not sure yet whether it would be better or worse for me to stay that way. There are a couple others I can think of on my list that I expect to be an outlier on, and one in particular I'm dreading it dropping.

She-Hulk is probably a Disney+ series as a legal loophole so that Disney don't have to pay Universal.

Leader would have been good because the MCU has lots of villains who are bigger, stronger versions of the hero, but not as many opposites. Hulk is a big strong dumb guy, whereas Leader is a little weak clever guy. His kneecaps must have recovered from being shot by now, at least enough for him to walk on crutches. Not that it matters at this point, he's too busy with the Movementarians anyway.

I've watched up to Infinity War and done write-ups up to Thor: Ragnarok, so I have 4 films and 6 write-ups left. I'm aiming to finish this week.

I started the viewing and write-ups for Phase 3 yesterday.

I saw Sonic and the animated Mortal Kombat film (I think that was this year?). They were both pretty good, though Mortal Kombat was the better of the two.

When I was in university, I came 2nd in locals for Injustice and Killer Instinct, and 3rd place for Pokemon. With Pokemon, I remember 2nd place was way better than everyone else competing, and 1st place was a professional competitive player way better than even 2nd place.

Nice! I'm almost there myself. I have the last few 3D songs to play in the story mode, and once I've done those, I will have every trophy except the 100,000 enemies one. I will have to check how many enemies I've beaten so far, but I am up to at least 50,000.

My theory for the next game is that it will come in 2022 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the series, and it will be either Dream Drop Distance 2 switching between Riku and Kairi (but not actually called that, obviously. It's just a nickname I'm using because the idea brings back the switching between two characters mechanic from that game), or a remake of the first game, to bring the gameplay more in line with KH2 and 3 and iron out the early instalment weirdness.

Progress report: I have watched and done the write-ups for all of Phase 1. I was hoping to have done up to end of Phase 2 by now, but illness put paid to that. Luckily for me, there's still plenty of time before the deadline and the holidays provide a chance to catch up.

Since I've got a Cloud one, I can't not get Sephiroth, can I? Speaking of Cloud, his Amiibo had FFVII and Advent Children variants, so could that happen for Sephiroth too?

For me, Spider-Man 3 came to mind for heartwarming cameos, and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer for silly ones. While I'm here, I'll mention the CG animated Spider-Man cartoon as the most cursed cameo. It's not a bad cameo or anything like that, but it involves him doing a Palpatine and encouraging Spidey to give in to his anger and hatred to seek revenge on Kraven. Stan Lee playing against type like this feels wrong on a fundamental level.

Skullomania was one of the prime candidates for the unrevealed final character, so who knows who they could be now.

White 2 gets easy mode instead, and since you have to complete the game as one of the requirements to unlock it, what's the point? If you can beat the game regularly, you don't need an easy mode!

Would it be OK if I joined please? I actually did something like this myself years ago, where I watched each film and wrote reviews for each one. That only went up to Guardians of the Galaxy because that was the newest film at the time, though I did go back later to add the next few up to Civil War. I would be interested in seeing if my order has changed by now, as well as adding the newer films.

I enjoyed Curtain Call and I love Kingdom Hearts, so I'm down for this, even if the demo did take a little getting used to. I'm not going to buy it just yet though, since I just bought Crash Bandicoot 4 recently. Maybe I'll get it around Christmas time.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the reviews. I got the impression that Kingdom Hearts was a love-it-or-hate-it series that the majority hated, especially after Kingdom Hearts 3 acted as a jumping-off point for anyone who had lost interest in the series but still persevered for the sake of finding out how it ended. Combined with this game being a tough sell even for the fans before the demo won them over, I thought reviews like this one would be the norm, rather than the exception.

Cortex in Crash Bandicoot 2. He just runs away from you, and you have to catch up with him and spin him three times before he escapes. He doesn't attack, and the hazards in the area don't kill you, they just slow you down.

I appreciate that even most of the lowest ranked entries had write-ups that were mostly positive. It really enhances the celebration aspect of this. This year must have been a particularly good batch for nominations for that to happen!

I'm not American so I don't understand how registered Democrat / Republican voters work. Does that mean if someone is registered to a particular party, they must vote for their party's candidate no matter what? Or do they still get a choice, it's just that they would almost certainly vote for their party's candidate?

I did consider that, but since he knows Scooby Doo I thought that would be too implausible.

My 10 year old nephew came to visit last week, and had mentioned previously that he had Dragon Ball Fighterz at his dad's house after he had seen me play it, so we played a few matches. He doesn't have any of the DLC characters at his dad's house, so he picked Jiren to play someone new. While he was choosing a colour palette, I suggested he choose the blue one, because it makes him look a bit like El Hermano. My nephew then asked who El Hermano was, and I told him that El Hermano is Jiren's evil older brother. Of course, I neglected to mention that he's not an official character, and instead said El Hermano isn't in the game because he's so powerful that if he was in the game, he would be overpowered and would win every time. My nephew then said "I would put him in the game, but make him really hard to unlock, like you have to win 50,000 matches or something."

Today, my nephew came to visit again, and said that he had watched a video of El Hermano after I had told him about the character, and he agreed that El Hermano was too powerful to be in Dragon Ball Fighterz. He then noticed a plushie of Ranch from Dragon Ball R and R I had on display, and asked me about her, so I explained who she was and her backstory. Again, I didn't mention that Ranch and Dragon Ball R and R are fanmade.

He doesn't have much exposure to Dragon Ball (Just Dragon Ball Fighterz and one or two episodes each of Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super), so I'm getting tempted now to see just how far I can stretch this before I have to come clean to him with the truth. Would telling him about the likes of Gohan Blanco, Naphan Verde and Grande Padre be too far-fetched?
