I'll be honest, I'm not sure what I thought of it. I couldn't decide whether it was good, bad or even mediocre. The only thing I'm certain of is that I liked it better than Prometheus. As for favourite, I'll go with Aliens.

Voted not sure because I'll watch it if I'm invited to go with someone else, but I don't plan on going myself otherwise. This is what I did with Rogue One and the Last Jedi too.

If Trump is impeached but the vote to remove him from office doesn't pass, what happens then? Is he prevented from running for re-election, is there any other punishment, or does he just carry on as if nothing happened until his term ends?

If anime songs were allowed, I would have totally nominated the Pokemon 2000 remix of Pokemon World.

Considering what happened with Konami banning Kojima from attending the Game Awards a few years ago, Death Stranding is a 100% lock to win GOTY there.

I'd count out Kingdom Hearts 3 because it came out in January, which was almost a year ago now, and Kingdom Hearts is far too much of a love-it-or-hate-it series to gain major mainstream recognition, not to mention it's too Japanese and anime. Devil May Cry 5's chances are hurt for the same reason, (specifically the anime thing) though not nearly to the same extent. The likes of Death Stranding and Resident Evil 2 may also be Japanese made, but they could pass as Western games, so they'll be fine.

In my opinion, this animosity hasn't just sprung up overnight. Resentment towards Game Freak and their handling of Pokemon has been growing since X and Y, and this is simply the last straw.

For me it's disappointing that other Nintendo franchises - Mario, Zelda, Smash, Fire Emblem - have brought their A game to Switch, whereas Pokemon is content with more - or rather, less - of the same, while charging more for it.

In addition, removing Pokemon and features, including the main gimmicks of the previous two generations, signals that we shouldn't bother getting attached to anything new from now on. Why should we care about Galar forms since they'll never appear again outside this game? Same goes for Gigantamax, and any of the new Gen 8 Pokemon that have Gigantamax forms, who will presumably be designed with Gigantamax in mind and will be significantly weaker without it. As for returning Pokemon, why would Game Freak bring back, say, Zubat in Gen 9 when it missed out on Sword and Shield, and bringing back a Pokemon who didn't get snapped would take less work? Come Gen 10, it takes even more work to bring Zubat up to current standards and before you know it, Zubat never appears in a game again.

Will the animated series be continuing past where the original ended?

Speaking of the Medievil remakes, what do you think of them? Do they compare favourably to the original for you?

I think they're not complaining about Marvel specifically, just that the most popular films, which in this case happen to be Marvel, are hogging all the attention. If something besides Marvel was dominating the box office for years, it would be trendy to bash that instead.

I now want to read that copyright man comic!

Something I forgot to mention earlier, I do admire the film for not playing it safe. It goes all in with the concept of a Pokemon world, as opposed to just taking a recognizable Earth and adding Pikachu, Charizard and a handful of the other Pokemon the mainstream have heard of via pop-cultural osmosis.

Same goes for the film's premise. It would have been so easy (and arguably more lucrative at the box office, since it would have been more general audience friendly) to simply adapt season 1 of the anime, make a Pokemon Go film, or - Arceus forbid - come up with a story where Ash and Pikachu are brought out of the anime and enter the Real World, where they befriend a little girl and her estranged, recently widowed father (possibly played by Brendan Fraser, because the dude deserves some work) and the foursome work together to find a way back home.

I agree with this too. It's good enough for the first film, but it also had the novelty value of live action Pokemon as a crutch. The novelty will wear off after 2 or 3 films, and they will need to improve if the inevitable Pokemon Cinematic Universe is to continue past that point.

Does anyone remember how a year or two ago, there was a real life murder case in which a parrot was cross-examined, like in case 1-4? Well it's happened again!

This time, it's Case 6-4 that has had something similar happen for real. Uendo Toneido had split personalities, and testified as part of the case. In the real life case, an Australian woman testified against her father, who sexually abused her when she was a child, and the trauma caused her to develop Dissociative Identity Disorder as a coping mechanism. She rationalised the abuse as happening to one of her split personalities. It's the first case in Australia where testimony from a person with multiple personalities has secured a conviction.

When a show (usually of the Failure Is the Only Option or Stern Chase variety) comes to an end with sufficient lead time, the production team may decide to go out with a bang by ending the endless chase, destroying the undestroyable foe, or in some other way definitively and permanently changing the core axioms the show depends on. It usually resolves all the conflicts that have driven the series over its entire run, and offers some kind of resolution to the dramatic tension that they have powered.

This is the Grand Finale, a way of very clearly saying to the audience "Okay, the show is really over. There's no more. Go watch something else." (That this doesn't always get through to viewers can be a problem in and of itself...)

Replace Dead Space with the increasingly ridiculous fake sequels (22 Jump Street)

A writer has created a franchise, but they don't own the legal rights to what will happen to the franchise; the publisher, network, studio, or whatever does. Or maybe they share the rights with someone else and just don't have as much control as they would like. They want to stop writing it and move on to something else.

But they don't want anyone else being able to handle their property, even though they don't legally own it. And even if they did own the franchise, what happens when their kids get their hands on the franchise after their inevitable death? The solution? Torch the franchise and run. Write one last story that totally wrecks everything. They kill off everyone they possibly can. They make the lives of all of the characters a living hell before executing them. They make 100% sure that everyone is dead, and those that aren't have no way of returning to the status quo or main premise of the show. However, the author can also achieve this in the form of an unambiguous happy ending where the villains are defeated for good and the conflict is resolved in such a way that everyone lives Happily Ever After.

Essentially the authorial version of breaking your own toys so that nobody else can play with them.

TL,DR: The creators try to end the series in such a way that it's very difficult, if not impossible, for anyone else to continue it.
