Hard R is a reference to the N-Word being used with racist intentions because you actually pronounce the R at the end.

My first thought was with film ratings, like if a film has lots of violence, swearing or sexual content it's described as being a hard R. I didn't even know about the other meaning until just now!

I had a lot of fun following along with this as well, thanks for running it!

I considered nominating Snuff Out the Light in the first Villain Songs contest, but ultimately decided against it because it was unused in The Emperor's New Groove. Obviously now I know I should have tried it anyway!

Back in university, I did a module on horror films. Each week we had a screening session and a discussion session. One week, the film was Tetsuo. I looked up each of the films before the screening to get an idea of what to expect, and after looking up Tetsuo, I decided to bail on that week's screening. Across the three year course, I can count on one hand with fingers left over the number of sessions I missed, and this was one of them. Reading the Tetsuo reviews has further convinced me that Past Me had the right idea. Then again, reading along, part of me does regret not signing up as there been some really interesting sounding films so far. Maybe I should have manned up and powered through Tetsuo anyway!

Also, I burst out laughing at the Krang comparison in the Basket Case reviews!

Don't tell anyone, but I cheated on the final boss. I used an infinite rage code for special attacks because they're the only viable method to damage him. He takes ages to whittle down otherwise, he keeps teleporting around so you can't hit him for long, and he heals over time. I beat the first two phases, and died during the third phase when he starts destroying the arena. The frame rate tanks during this bit, until eventually I couldn't get out of the way and fell. It's not a difficult battle as I was in no danger of running out of health from his attacks, but a tedious one because it takes so long, and there's a checkpoint after beating the first phase, but not the second. Using certain cheats in this game is supposed to disable trophies, but if you enter them and quit to the main menu before reaching a checkpoint, trophies will be re-enabled and cheats will still be active.

With 92 platinums in the bag, I'm starting to think about what should be number 100. I'm considering Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed, which only needs one more trophy, but it's for collecting all stars in the campaign, which I've been trying to do on and off since I got the game at launch. After 12 years, I may have to concede that I'm simply not good enough at the game for that, but not yet. I can keep trying! I considered Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 on PS4 as well, because I got it on PS+ and the PS3 version was my first platinum, so it would be fitting in that sense. I ultimately decided against it, as it's not challenging enough to make up for being a repeat platinum. It can be number 101 instead, it still sort of works as a bookend at that point.

Grinding done, just the hard run left. Done act 1 so far without much trouble.

I chose Gen 1, but Gen 3 was close. Having gimmicky stuff like Castform and Kecleon that doesn't rely heavily on its Normal typing, and mons like Azurill and Swablu that lose Normal once they evolve was my tiebreaker.

Also, Arceus isn't listed for Gen IV.

Senor Burns was one of the Simpsons songs I considered before I chose We Do, so I'm glad it made the bracket anyway.

There aren't a lot of places where you can do this, so you have to go out of your way. The last jungle level has flaming enemies with machetes, so I let myself be hit by their jump attack to set Wolverine on fire, then grab the smaller enemies around the area while on fire to pass the fire on to them. Next up, replay levels a bunch to grind total kills and specific enemy types.

I don't have the DLC, so that's where I'll be leaving this. Maybe I'll buy it at some point. Is it worth getting? It doesn't seem to be a must-have (there's a costume pack and the Infierno challenges. Both DLCs have associated trophies), and buying things from the PS3 store is more laborious now that you have to put a voucher on your account on another console, instead of buying direct from the PS3.

This took a while, but I've finished now! The addition of crossplay made a world of difference for getting into matches faster, around 1 minute instead of 3-5 minutes.

Dragon Ball Daima is going to be bittersweet now. I'm certain everyone involved will be going even further beyond to ensure it turns out great and honours Toriyama's legacy.

I like to think Toriyama has made it along Snake Way and is now on King Kai's planet telling him a great joke.

Glove World lasted a lot longer than I was expecting! One left for me now, although I don't think it will last much longer.

I mean, I wasn't actively aiming for last place, but I'll take it! I was expecting Leather Pants to be my first to go and that it wouldn't last long.

I love the animation of Lickboot saying "We've got to have money!", but overall Biskit Family Business is my favourite of these songs so far.
