I reckon we've heard the last of him now, and not a moment too soon. Either he goes to prison, or he is declared unfit to stand trial (which is a possibility with how severe his issues are) and is put in assisted living or something similar.

I watched a retrospective video before that was in several parts. The final part had a former member of the dev team involved, and they said in addition to the above DLC (they didn't mention Shadow, but they did mention everything else), Ryu Hayabusa, Tomba, Chun Li and Sub-Zero were also planned. I also remember that Lara Croft didn't appear because her reboot was coming out around that time, and Square Enix wanted her in her own game first, so it's possible she could have appeared at some point if support had lasted longer.

We were this close to an official Street Fighter VS Mortal Kombat!

I wonder if the first game's roster would have been considered better if there were no third-party characters at all. Would there have been less disappointment at the absence of Crash, Spyro, Lara Croft etc if they were never on the table to begin with?

In all seriousness, while I would welcome a sequel if it is indeed happening, I think it may be too late by now. Smash has raised the bar so high that even thinking of competing against it is suicidal, and the first game has a (not entirely fair, imo) reputation as a terrible game, the kind of laughing stock youtubers use as a go-to for easy cheap laughs. I doubt many people would be willing to give it a second chance. It's telling that Nickelodeon Smash had more hype on reveal than PSASBR ever got.

Yes, there are Pot of Greed coffee mugs. I've seen regular mugs with Pot of Greed pictures on them, and mugs actually shaped like Pot of Greed. The latter don't come cheap, because they need to be imported from Japan.

Crocker is on the 1 nomination list twice, once as Denzel Crocker and once as Mr Crocker.

Legacy of the Duelist helped me get back into playing Yu-Gi-Oh. That game has you playing through the major duels of each anime series, which has the handy side effect of starting off relatively straightforward and gradually introducing the newer mechanics as you progress. I knew how Synchro and Xyz worked, but I couldn't wrap my head around Pendulum and Link until I got to see them in action via the game and try them out myself.

I've also been gradually watching the anime, and am near the end of GX season 2. Chazz is the MVP. Chazz it up!

Reading the Spider-Man bit reminded me of the cheat to play as Mary Jane. Because she's a reskin of Spidey, the cutscenes aren't changed, so if you finish the game as her, you get to see Mary Jane kiss herself.

It would have been funny if Heihachi was chosen, just so we could finally have a character who appears in both Smash and Playstation All Stars. Kratos is on my Smash wanted list too, but really any first-party Playstation character will do, and he's arguably the most iconic, and therefore best choice for Smash.

I'm not surprised Crash 4 sold less than N. Sane Trilogy. As has been said, most people only bought N. Sane for nostalgia, and had their fill after that between nostalgia and the difficulty, which ranged between "Harder than I remember" and "Harder than Dark Souls". It also released in the summer, when there was no notable competition for months. Add in the bargain price on top, and N. Sane was a perfect storm of factors for a hit. Crash 4 turned the difficulty up even further, which was a fun challenge but killed the long-term prospects for the series.

I wanted Crash in Smash before wanting Crash in Smash was cool! I thought he'd been heavily requested for a while, so imagine my surprise when I just found out today that, according to the Smash fandom, he's now a Wimbly-Bimbly or Crunko-Funko or whatever and you're not supposed to want him any more.
