As for Emerald, I can't find a guy who just was a good guy through and through. I think UCA has a lived in problem where like WWE, everyone is some shade of heel trying to outdo each other in that facet. Even people who start face and were really good at it (David and Stifled for example) switched for a time. Emerald never did, and just grew into a comfortable babyface over time.

It's kinda funny you mention this, another reason I envy David specifically is because he got the "alec soaring eagle" thing and I thought to myself, man that sounds really cool I'd have loved to try that out once.

So being the newest guy on the roster I believe, I don't have the wealth of experiences that everyone else here has. Stuff I could share would just be a drop in the bucket compared to "legendary feuds" back in the day. I'll share something instead that doesn't have to do with in-ring performance, but more behind the scenes interaction. Outside of kayfabe.

When I first started, I was way out of my comfort zone. Much like David, I didn't think I could cut a promo, or feud with people, or fit in really. I started just playfully jabbing at random people trying to start something up, trying to fit in. The first guy I went for was Apollo, and not long after, Strife messaged me just letting me know that Apollo was in the middle of something and that I probably shouldn't do that right away. Strife then went on to answer any questions I had about what to do, how things go, tips on how to succeed, stuff like that.

I know there are probably many people here that have beef with Strife because of his past "crimes" so-to-speak, but for the time I've known him, which was after all that, he's always been kind and helpful to me, even messaging me a compliment a time or two after cutting a promo (against him, no less. This was when we fought in the semis for the KotB tournament.) He did his best to make sure that I learned from his experiences, and even shared what happened of his own accord, even though it's obviously not something you'd want people to know. So I would just like to extend my thanks to Strife for being especially welcoming and supportive as I found my footing.

And lastly, a thank you to everyone I've interacted with in this. Everyone has been awesome. I tried to be sure not to rub anyone the wrong way out of kayfabe, but even so, everyone I've talked with has been kind and understanding, even when I went through a streak of 2 or 3 shows where I would get counts for votals wrong (thanks eaed especially for being patient.)

I'm pretty happy with what I accomplished in my short time here. I of course would have liked to clinch that undisputed once, but there were 2 far more deserving people in that match. It's not the end that matters, it's the journey you took to get there. I'm glad I took this journey.

That part I feel like I conflict with because I dont believe that whatever is responsible for everything, even experiences the sensation of emotions or thought in such a simple. If it does experience caring, I definitely cant believe it cares about humans more than other things.

FWIW, the Bible does state that God allows humanity to kill animals to provide sustenance, which imo creates a heirarchy of which humans are at the top. Of course this hinges on whether or not you take the Bible as truthful, but there is that at least.

McDaniels is essentially done being a coach anywhere in the league but New England after this though. A poor first performance as a HC combined with waiting until the very last second to pull this has to have gotten him ill-will around the league.

He better hope he's got that head coaching job in New England on lock for a long time to come.

Embarrassing story, I was playing rocket league with a guy named Tom Bombadil once and I asked him if he was the guy on b8...but having consumed minimal LotR media I had no idea Tom Bombadil is the name of a character in that, so I felt really dumb afterwards.

TBH Jiren is slipping more and more down the respect chart for me. Dude has so much power and is chastising toppo when he could have just gone full throttle from the start and probably just won the tournament single-handedly. Talking down to Toppo shows me that Jiren is just flat-out conceited. He holds his power back not for some noble reason, or to get a good fight out of people, but because he deems everyone around him unworthy of it. He's just a prick. Maybe that's what people think is badass about him, but it's just not for me.

Poor toppo was in a no win situation, if he hadn't used his transformation then belmod and co would have been *****ing at him for not using his true power and getting eliminated when he could have done more. I'm glad vegeta's come so far to use others as his motivation, but really, what exactly did toppo "throw away" besides cheesy poses? "Justice" in this situation is nothing more than a platitude. He used his full power to try and save his universe, I'm not really sure where vegeta gets off calling him a loser considering he's thrown away his ideals to save his loved ones once before. If anything I'd have thought vegeta would be the one guy who gets it. I mean I get it, it's the awesome vegeta moment everyone's been waiting for, but just from a character standpoint I didn't really enjoy this episode so much.

I am also low self-esteem but this wouldn't work on me at all and I would get super annoyed and angry and prob avoid you. It's probably a case-by-case thing.

But in general I think you can make someone feel valued by like inviting them to things, asking them for help on specific things, bringing over other people to meet them like they are a celebrity or something, etc

Mmm, yeah, thinking about it some more I think I agree with you. Such an approach wouldn't work on everyone. Too quick to equate whats good for me with whats good for everyone.

Also, in my personal opinion, even if toppo were just jiren 2.0 as far as plotline goes, it'd be okay because he looks so much more badass than jiren.

He reminds me of heihachi. I think it's the way his ears point up so high with his bald head, it reminds me of heihachi's hair.
