As for Emerald, I can't find a guy who just was a good guy through and through. I think UCA has a lived in problem where like WWE, everyone is some shade of heel trying to outdo each other in that facet. Even people who start face and were really good at it (David and Stifled for example) switched for a time. Emerald never did, and just grew into a comfortable babyface over time.

It's kinda funny you mention this, another reason I envy David specifically is because he got the "alec soaring eagle" thing and I thought to myself, man that sounds really cool I'd have loved to try that out once.

Memories still later. But first some thank yous! I love all of you, but in particular:

XIII - for welcoming me to UCA, which has been my favorite B8 experience.

Strife - for helping me win my first Undisputed Title. for listening when I needed to vent after losing said title. for all our fun feuds. and for just overall being a friend.

Bokonon_Lives, SlothFAQs, and Eddv - we won the Tag Titles together yay!

Meche, Scare, Tera, and icon - thank you for being a part of the Empire.

Shad - naturally I saved you for last. my fondest UCA memories are all of The Empire of Silence. we started as a team struggling to get our first belts, but eventually reached the absolute heights together. I can't thank you enough. and we have one last title match to win!

Maybe I'm wrong, but I assumed that whole eagle thing was a joke that I just decided to run with. I don't think anyone was expecting it to reach the heights and gain the momentum that it did.

My initial reaction to it was something like "wow this is the nail in the coffin, I don't think I'll ever recover from this".

I had to take it off my upcoming best list, but the Alec suit turned me into Soaring Strife, which was my attempt at being Iron Man. It was one of the few regrets I had, because I wasn't patient and turned heel right as I scored some momentum...cause I lost to Eaed...go figure.

It is s vehicle for a face turn if used right.

I would love to sit here and tell you story after story of UCA-awesomeness but unfortunately, memory is not my strong suit. I would like to thank Eddv obviously for introducing me not only to UCA but to the board in general. I was really only on B8 to play mafia (of which I am horrible) at the time and I would pop my head into random topics. Then Eddv told me about this thing he was doing in the UCA and they were looking for new people because they planned to do the show split! So naturally, I signed up being a wrestling fan myself with the goofiest of all gimmicks, Time-Travel. I wish I could tell you where that idea came from. I think maybe I was bingeing DBZ at the time but I can't be certain. Either way, I was very fortunate that XIII took the time and interest in me and I kind of got the push through the moon. I am disappointed to hear about the rigging but I think it ended up working itself out in the end. XIII and I get in arguments from time to time but it wasn't until recently I think it was because we always had similar interests and I know in my own life I get along less with the people a lot like me.

The most fun feuds I have had were ones that were more out of the blue than planned. Me vs Cobain, Me vs RL5 (the real RL5). However, the planned out feuds were fun too like the Timecops and then facing off against Tom. Facing off against War was great too because I was in college at the time and had way too much time on my hands and that is the case for most of those actually. But as you noticed most of that stuff was in the first couple years of my career. Everything becomes kind of a blur after I won the Rumble. We TRIFECTA'd (which no matter how much it was hated. We had a lot of fun doing it lol) our way though the rumble with the hopes that it would then clinch my shot at redemption because I lost at E-Popmania the year before against eddv. It was a really cool story that took a little bit of controversy (being offer 30 in an Ultimatum I believe and of course the disdain that would come in every rumble after because of the TRIFECTA'ing). When I beat Zazi it was too good. I was on top of the world. I was the last in my "group" to win the world title and I thought that people would never really vote against me now right? That was an amazing story that just happened and I was one of the first people to win the UCA title without a real big board presence. Or at least that's what I thought.

Well, if there is one thing I learned was never mess with the new guys on the block because I got upset by newcomer, Stifled. Which was just so upsetting because I really fell into what felt like well what the hell am I going to do now. Then I got lucky and I was able to defeat Sultan for that title back only for it to be taken away from me again in the hardcore match. And that day was just the worst, I knew I was going to be in a title match but what I didn't know was that I was going to be blindsided. And despite my bad memory I know exactly where I was. Having all just graduated college, two of my friends from high school and I went to dinner and a movie, "Neighbors" if I recall correctly (which I thought was horrible. Idk if it was because I was in the middle of being screwed over or if it was just that bad) but nevertheless. I leave the movie to go the bathroom only to check my phone to see I believe it was a text from Sultan. They put your title up in a hardcore match. I open the topic to see that not only was a losing but it wasn't just Strife. A group of people had joined forces to make sure I was no longer champion. I was crushed and couldn't tell if it was something I did either. And to make matters worse, I never felt I got my closure on that whole scenario because of the XIII and RL5 thing and that just totally crushed me and I think it is still why I don't love that thing. I get it was a great work on XIII but it just still feels so dirty. From there I kind of fall into a UCA lawl. I lost a lot of big matches and found myself cheating in desperation too.

From there real life began to take over. I was working a lot, gotten engaged, got my masters, and I never really put my heart and sole into the UCA. I would try my hardest with a standard effort but it really wasn't the same as when I was in college and those first two reigns. Hell I even managed to become champion one more time. I was here but it just wasn't the same and I had this bad stigma about myself that I kept losing at the end of every big opportunity I got. It was until I started running shows again that I realized that it was my effort that I was putting into the UCA that made me popular in the first place and likely what I was missing.

I think my lowest of lows was in the feud against Steiner though. I just didnt get Steiner and his popularity. The way he spoke to me and Sultan I didn't respect and yet people not only enjoyed it but they supported it. And people would try and tell me to stop getting worked by the story but the things he was saying were just straight out nasty. And I had dealt with some bullying in real life and on the board so I just didn't want to take it anymore more. To top it off, it was really coming at a time where there were a lot of questions were happening in my real life. I was 6 months away from my wedding, my job was asking me to work 60 hours a week, and my fiancee and I found out that we were having a baby. So was it all for show? Maybe but at the time I had so much going on that it felt too real and upsetting to me.

So after I got crushed in votals by someone who I thought was a horrible person. I asked myself, what do I need this for? I believe I even posted a topic about it but thanks to a heart to heart with the man who crushed my original dreams, Stifled, I was able to turn my mindset on the board around and I continued to stick around. Which was a good thing because Steiner sure as heck didn't.

Late 2016 comes around and I lose my job, which turned out to be a good thing, because I got a new job that had a lot more freedoms and gave me more time to do other things during the work day and it just came at the same time as a dark point for XIII. As I remembered it, XIII was done. Life was getting to him and being replaced had already failed him once and despite being adamant about not wanting to run the UCA. I decided to take up the booking job. The thing that ended up causing our confusion a month ago though was, I didn't think XIII was coming back. I thought this was me until we closed it. But during the last couple months, my UCA spirits had been revitalized and I had the time to commit to it as well and I just enjoyed making everyone else's UCA dreams come true. It is something I should have considered doing sooner.

I want to circle back to saying that while it seems that I only talked about the bad stuff, or at leas that is how it feels rereading it, I did enjoy doing UCA. Especially, the tag team stuff because I wasn't a huge planner when it came to tag teams. But the fact that I would say, "We are one" and GTM would follow it up with a "We are one" was hilarious to me and the small things were the things I think made me the happiest outside of my big UCA Accomplishments.

So this is the part of the speech I tag and thank everyone. Thank you @Eddv, for bringing me in. (out of character) @TheSultanOfSlam for being the most dangerous faction in the UCA. @XIII_rocks for all of the opportunities given even when we didn't get a long. @Tom_Bombadil for basically being my confidant and partner this past year. @Strife2 for being my eternal rival. @StifledSilence for the smart words you gave me that one day in 2016. And those thanking me in topic, thank you for dealing with me.

Since having my son, I have trying to be less selfish and more giving to others so for those of you that I have helped on the way I hope I made the UCA just a little better for you like others have done for me. Monday I will book my last Ruin and I hope you all enjoy it and this last 2 weeks of UCA. eaed out

Random fun memories, possibly in order (multiple posts incoming!):

1. Debut match against Luster, leading to an LW Title challenge at Exile against...Apollo I think? Maybe MenuWars? Either way, that was my first title win. I had no idea I'd end up being really good at this later. I kind of assumed I'd just be a midcarder at best. I was having a blast though.

2. MELEE MAYHEM Title win over Strife. I was shocked I won this one. I only held the LW title a few weeks before getting whooped at the following PPV. So I figured my momentum was dead. But then this happened and I was thrilled. I didn't keep this belt long either, but still lol

3. Tag Titles! So this one is a funny story. Bokonon_Lives rolled in for a brief appearance, except I didn't know it was brief at the time. We had played in a bunch of B8 games together in the past so I was like duuude team with me! And so he did. But then he left pretty much as quickly as he showed up. I reaaaally wanted to win the Tag Titles. So I decided to create a story as to why he wasn't around. I made him into a serial killer that set things and people on fire and watched them burn. I called our team Stifled Lives because I was the only one to survive his attacks. After a month or so of hype, it happened. We had a tag title match on the 1000 Days of XIII show! What should have been a throw away defense for Whiskey on the Rocks ended up being a win for us! It was so cool. I was kind of surprised we won, but after all the work I put in, I felt like we earned it.

4. TAYBLES! So at my first Epopmania, I was in this really cool TLC match with a ton of prizes on the line, including booking rights and the money in the bank briefcase. Naturally I wanted that one, but to my surprise I won the third prize up for grabs on my vote, which happened to be the first vote of the card. The Master of Taybles Title! It caught me off guard and it was a cool surprise. Didn't keep it very long either (see LW and MM lol), but it was a fun win.

5. Football Tourney for the BIG SHINY BELT. So eaed was the champ and it was his big first Undisputed Title win. I was feuding with The Trifecta over the Tag Titles. But Football had a tournament going on Combat to determine the new #1 contender to face eaed. I assumed I had zero shot, but naturally I put in my best effort cuz why not right? First there was a promo contest to gain a round one advantage. I have to thank Apollo because I was absolutely drawing a blank initially, but I chained some really good rebuttal promos off his and won. He probably would have won otherwise. Sorry dude. But thanks!

So the round one advantage was to choose the match stipulation. I went with the Belt Polish Chugging match that I had good results with in the past. When I came to vote, Sultan already had 4 in a row. So then I dropped the 5th and sent him off to get the stomach pump. Admittedly I don't remember what happened in round two. But I advanced to the final round, which was this really crazy match. First you had to tayble someone and then you had to climb the ladder to get the win. The catch was there were like 6 dudes in this match. So good luck climbing. But a crazy thing happened. Strife offered me his help. I got a vote from someone not in the match and then me and Strife did the rest. The unthinkable happened and I was the #1 contender!

That also meant my feud with The Trifecta was intensified. I was fighting all three of them at the next PPV. The hype and build was a lot of fun between myself and Eddv. Lots of shots back and forth. Bokonon wasn't around and that finally caught up to me. We dropped the belts to Eddv and Sultan. But then, to my surprise...I beat eaed. I was the Undisputed Champion just like that. It was crazy because I assumed it would be close but I'd lose. Buuuut I got it!

People were whining about me being the champ off B8. And apparently not just current UCA people either. It was pretty funny to me. It reminded me of fans whining about someone on WWE winning the belt. So I made some really brash celebratory promos to stick it to those whiners. The results topic was called The Era of Silence. I thought I was finally gonna hang onto a belt for awhile. But nah. I won't get into it because I said these were fun memories. But some shady shit went down and I lost the belt a week later. I was pissed. Not because I lost but because of how it went down. I considered quitting, but I decided I'd rather just claw back up and stick it to those people again. And naturally I did.

6. IM Title. At this point, the IM Title was the only belt I couldn't win. I lost to Menu. I lost to Sultan. I lost to Dp. I had no luck with this belt. But then one night Jakyl came back to feud with XIII and booked a show for...reasons. He booked me vs. Dp in a rematch for the IM Title. And I...won? Really? Woo! I was fired up. I won every title in under a year, which I'm pretty sure had never been done before. I've never won the Rumble or any of those kinds of individual events, but that was always a feat unique to me. I really cherish that I could leave a mark like that.

7. Tag Team Domination. So I formed a tag team that you might have heard of. A little thing called The Empire of Silence. And at the time, the tag division was nuts. The reigning champs were Reg and Kora, who held the belts for like 100 days. Eaed and GTM were The Winds of Change. Maniac reformed Boko United with XIII. And Strife/Eddv/Luigi formed a stable called Moment of Zen. And for a time we all traded the belts around in crazy matches. Empire beat Winds to get a shot at Reg and Kora, which Empire won. Then meche and Scare joined the Empire to feud with Moment of Zen. Moment of Zen beat us in a faction brawl for the belts at Epopmania. Then Boko United beat them. Then we beat Boko United. And then we lost to our Empire brothers meche and Scare. It was absolutely nuts and it was a ton of fun to be a tag team back then.

8. REASONS. So this one PPV was fully booked but me and Kora didn't have matches. So we did a random feud for...reasons. lol we just wanted on the card. So we kept saying we needed to fight for...reasons. We ended up doing a Reasons Match where the voters had to give a reason why they voted. I lost, but it was a good memory.

9. 2nd Undisputed Title. So Empire had an angle where we split and feuded. Shad turned me into a vampire because...why not? But the process screwed up and I became a sparkly Twilight vampire instead. During this time I won the Tag Titles with Eddv and picked up my 2nd Undisputed Title from the feud with Shad.

10. Modern Warfare with Empire! So Shad and I reformed Empire and went on a wild tear a few years ago with the Tag Titles. Once we won them back, there was no beating us for awhile. We beat a bunch of teams in a Blood Sport match. We defended a ton of times up through Modern Warfare where the belts were on the line along with booking rights. Shad brought in Tera and Icon to make our team and we won! I loved booking, especially the Empire Eruption special we did. By the end of our Tag Title run, we were the second longest reign of all time. I was just relieved to keep a belt for longer than a few weeks for once lol.

11. Travis! As you might know, I have a son named Travis. He just turned two! Initially after he was born, I could still participate in UCA stuff as normal. But as he got older, Travis got more demanding. So towards the end of UCA I've been...absent quite a bit. I do apologise for that, despite it being somewhat out of my control. But I will definitely be around for the very end.

I had plans to retire for good anyway at Epopmania X and focus more on my Army career/personal life until it was announced that the UCA would end regardless.

I also became close to headlining Epopmania 3 years in a row, but came up short this year. Also never expected the Broken Raven gimmick to skyrocket the way it did; I just imagined the idea of a mixture of Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy and went nuts with it. I was more proud of headlining that Epopmania not only because I felt like I earned it on my own terms, but also because I was headlining it with Dp, a guy who should have his own wing in the UCA Hall of Fame just for the past 3 years alone.

And now those two are feuding with each other on Raw. You're welcome >_>

Also I dont know if I ever outright said it, but during the years of running COMBAT I always got a bit of flack for only having 5 matches most weeks. But in the 3 show era I always imagined that show as what WWE Superstars should have been.

A smaller show that features a couple important matches, getting a few people their matches for the week so that Eruption wasnt forced to book 12 guys, and give a little freedom for promos or just to naturally move some stories along.

Trying to think of other random things.

-XIII usually bounced most ideas off of me while we were co-owners, and i would wager I was ok with them 95-99% of the time. Outside of tournaments and such I mainly just stuck with what was working, im not much of a long term big picture booking kind of guy. I still have 100's of PMs from XIII left over that I dont know if Ill ever delete since I dont get them from any other source

-I dont 100% remember exactly how it happened, but I remember talking to Tom on AIM about rebooting the UCA, and he told me about Dante's plan to set off a Amnesia Bomb and I thought it was the greatest idea ever. I think in the long run this was the correct decision

-When I left UCA officially it was mainly because I was working a lot more hours at work, and wanted to unwind when I would get home, and some times UCA felt a bit of a chore. We had several weeks of guest bookers and when I realized I was getting more stuff done that felt like a good time to leave.

-I really did think the year we ran UOTY was a lot of fun

-Sorry about not updating the title spreadsheets : )

-If anyone has any random questions let me know!

You know, I've not had it in me for a while. That real urge to be the best. To be a champion. It's what drives everything here in the UCA, isn't it? I guess the best word for it is hunger. Ten years ago man, I had the hunger. I didn't just want to be the best, I wanted to be the first. The first ever UCA Heavyweight Champion. I was in that first title match, I'm sure plenty of you remember. Right here on Board 8, in Icehawk's Topic. Steinershocker, NGamer64, ExThaNemesis. That was your first title match. That was my first title match. And good God, I was hungry. I was so goddamn hungry, and I was so close to feasting on championship glory.

That's how I'll always remember it. But, obviously, I was not the winner that night. ExTha walked out champion, and walked away with my dreams. And when I look back, it's the one night that always haunts me. You see, I went on to win the UCA Heavyweight Championship multiple times anyway... and after that, I felt I'd achieved all I could. In many ways, I had an amazing career here, and had so many moments that every other UCA competitor will tell their children about... But I'll never forget how, when I was hungriest, when I wanted it the most, I didn't get to be the first.

See that part of me, that part that makes me who I am, the ego... I want that once in a lifetime moment, that will define my legacy. I was in the main event of the first ever UCA Pay Per View, and some say that should be enough. But to me, that's the night I failed. And I didn't think I'd ever have an opportunity to make history like that again.

But... what about if I could repeat history? What if, at the final ever UCA Pay Per View, I could redeem the loss that has haunted me my entire career? ExTha, we did it all here in UCA. Tag titles to main events, yet you'll always have that most important W. And if I was hungry for it ten years ago, I'm salivating now. This is the match of my dreams, and I'm going to go out there at Epopmania X with the first ever UCA Champion, Team Supremacy exploding on the Grand Stage one more time, and this time, ExTha, I'm going to eat your lunch.

I loved this btw and remember it really well. You both did a hilarious job with it. "Let the REASONS flow through you!" and stuff. It was great. Typical UCA. Light-hearted, silly, pro-wrestling, popularity-based but overall fun

Sorry to rain on your parade but I won LW, MW and HW within 6 months, tag titles about 3 months later.

But in fairness MELEE got created during my first year and then I won it a little while after that, so I guess it is unique to you

I am disappointed to hear about the rigging but I think it ended up working itself out in the end.

There wasn't any rigging you didn't know about - I wanted you to win but there was no match-affecting bias, other than the time you voted early in that vote-once-per-hour match and I counted your votes anyway. But you knew all about that at the time, you even said, I think, that it was only a few seconds and it shouldn't matter.

But the battle royal, lethal ironman match and all that stuff were all legit. My bias only actually affected the result of that one match.

Top 5 Best

5. Lists, Lists, Lists
I remember doing stuff like UCA Rewind, Top 10 lists, OVR rankings, UCA Master File, votals, and notably the Title Sheet. I think stuff like this just added a unique element to the UCA presentation.

4. Roleplaying
I think I have a hidden drive to be an actor, improv, or roleplay writer. UCA was my chance to experience all those things while living my dream out as a wrestler (in a way). Promos, feuding, getting into character, finisher names, developing matches and finishes: all that stuff was a blast. I eventually found D&D, and I believe UCA was the reason I got the bug. What I learned here translates to that so well, and its what I will focus on to fill the void when UCA is done.

3. Tag Team Opportunist
I had a knack for being a good #2 guy in a tag team scenario. Sultans of Swing, Young Guns, Knights of the Night, Moment of Zen, and the Kingdom were just great all around. I usually came up with the names or spearheaded promos or feud ideas, but knew enough (in most cases) to work with the partners and what they wanted. We usually reaped the benefits.

2. DARKNESS!
The impetus for my UCA stint actually started as a running gag on APWT. In every topic start, I pulled off a one-time joke from Prime Time Players manager Abraham Washington. He once yelled YO MAMA at Kofi during a match, and threw a shoe at him. XIII saw me doing this gag for a few months and was like, join UCA and throw shoes or something.

I took the shoe idea, but incorporated the character Cloud of Darkness from FFIII (being super hot in Dissidia and scaring me shitless when playing FFIII DS), worked with some weird Goldust/Kane ideas, metal music references, and the Shoe of Darkness persona was born. I was a perverse, dark, twisted thing, my promo style was in third person, bolded, voted for what the UCA wanted rather than my own wants, and just reveled in building, Strife is totally fucked in the head. I overdid it quite a bit, because I promoted way too much during that first six months. It seemed to catch on better during the Knights of the Night run.

I still feel even now, I cant escape that vibe of inhabiting that character, goofy and disturbing as it is. It kind of represents a Demon Balor or Bray Wyatt to me. I am myself, but when I needed to, all the dark, gothic weirdness manifested as callbacks.

1. 2017
I had my moment when I retired and people gave me a good sendoff. I was perfectly content being Apollos manager to help build the Kingdom label. Promos were my strong suit. Sultan came calling, so I stepped up so Apollo could focus on MITB. I always felt like I will lose big matches, so I was fully ready to drop the match and give him the rub. I kinda wonder why I won to be honest. So I figured, Ill give it a shot as a competitor again. What do I have to lose?

The Taybles Title resurgence, KotB, and the current Kingdom run were just amazing to me. But after that Hardcore match mess, the moment that previously defined me died when I beat David earlier this year. To be told, All that shit is behind you. We believe in you as the Man. was something I dreamed about. I wanted to be in UCA solely to fight back against what Id done to Eaed, XIII, and so many other people. To think it actually happened was special. I dropped my faade as the Last King and just was me during that speech.

Well, thats everything from me. I know that was a lot, and but it felt like bearing everything these past five years. I will miss UCA dearly, because despite some very big problems, I found friends, supporters, and new hobbies that I never knew I wanted. I was here, and I wont forget it.

Alright brosephs, here we go. Solio's final memories of the UCA. It's gonna be chill.

I remember the very first day I came into the UCA, I was paired up with GTM and immediately faced off against Whiskey on the Rocks for the tag titles. And we won. What an entrance, right? Only the beginning of course, and certainly not the last time I'd face off against XIII in any capacity.

Grand Team Mayhem was strong and will forever be a thing, but we never found the right time to fully go after it. Plus, GTM has always been a short poster of fun small things and I used to be the big speech kind of guy. So we just kinda had different styles.

My first true feud was against Stevie (#downwithStevie), and for I think maybe the only time in the history of B8, he beat me. Twice. And then I tied him for a third time and was banned from challenging him again. But I moved up, and at my first EpopMania, I took the IM Championship off of Menu and beat Stevie in the same match. Big step forward.

By the way, do you all remember when I got upset because Stevie was being inserted into that match by XIII and I was tired of competing against Stevie and so I ranted about it? Yikes. Thank God we're past that part of Solio. I think I was like 14 years old at the time lol. Also somewhere in there I guest booked Eruption (RIP) and I fuckin' killed it. Big part of my UCA time started on that guest show, but we'll get to that later.

Anyways, my first defense as IM Champion was against Dp. Ohhhhh yeah buddy. That's where that one started. I believe I won a match that allowed me to decide the stipulation of the title match, and I created my first match gimmick. Taipei Deathmatch. Taipei Deathmatches are total fucking bullshit to be quite honest yeah they're pretty awesome. Hardcore match where the competitors have a limited capacity to vote. Later, I'd also create the coin-eating/belt-polish chugging matches and the Blood Sport (still the greatest thing to ever happen to UCA tag team wrestling IMO, sad we didn't have it back when UCA had tons of voters). Anyways, I beat Dp, and continued on to the great record-setting IM Championship Reign that I had. That was probably the time in UCA where I felt the best. But then I became King. And then I feuded with Sir Chris. And I feuded with XIII. Won the Undisputed Championship twice. Had the longest combined days as Undisputed Champion for a short time after Kora finally dethroned me, so to speak. And there was all that crazy shit with the Solioctopus. Thank you Kora for that.

Nick took over for XIII around that time, which was both a fantastic success and a miserable failure at the same time (mostly just a success because of Mario Kart Madness). Then I got a PM from Nick asking if I wanted to book Eruption semi-permanently, and of course I wanted to fucking book Eruption. Eventually, XIII came back, and then he let me take over. Not only was that super awesome IMO, it was also pretty cool to see that I was trusted as a booker. Now, my run as admin as also both a fantastic success and a miserable failure at the same time, since I was a junior in high school dealing with girlfriend issues and eventually I quit doing it because I was an emotional mess at the time. But the booking was good enough while I was doing it IMO.

Side note: booking UCA is WAY more work than it seems. Trust me. Trying to keep up with the master file, archiving discussion topics, booking each card, keeping up with all the feuds... it's a lot to keep up with. Props to XIII and Football and Tom and literally anyone else who has done it for a considerable amount of time.

So then, when I left... I came back for a bit... maybe won the MM Championship at some point? Came back again, won the LW Championship in the name of fun!, got my Grand Slam, and left again. Lots of on and off. Now I'm back for this last time, and I'm both sad and happy.

UCA needs to, at the very least, take a long break. I think it's best if maybe we just let this whole thing rest for good - except for the Rumble, because that shit needs to happen every single year. But, my point is, we have had a lot of good times in the UCA and we have created a lot of good stories. And it's definitely time for the storybook that we're writing to come to a close. Before I suggested to XIII that UCA needs to either move to a new board or close (which I'm sure he knew anyways), I saw the votals. And I saw the participation. It made me sad to see UCA cards getting 8 votes when, from my early run to when I left after being admin, we would pull 20 votes and have seriously great participation. Many of us on B8 have tried UCA, and many of us have left, and those who want to stick with it already have been sticking with it for more than just this omega era. That consistent group, that "sticking to it" group is not a large enough group of people for this to be sustainable much longer.

However... as I said, UCA has been the best part of B8 for me. It's really, really dumb, but also really genius and tons of fun. We are a bunch of people on a GameFAQs message board for discussing character contests pretending to be professional wrestling personalities and we fight by seeing who votes for us. How dumb is that? That's pretty silly. But I don't care. UCA has been brilliant. And that's why it is so hard to finally say goodbye to it. It needs to happen, but there's definitely gonna be something missing on B8 when it does happen.

So, with that said, I'm gonna thank some people.

GTM - Grand Team Mayhem for life. You really are what was so fun about UCA.

XIII - Thank you for the trust in me as a booker and thank you for putting up with me when I was still growing up as a person (literally) and learning how this all worked.

Nick - Thanks for giving me Eruption when you were sending this place into total chaos lol

Dp - Thank you for one of the best long-term rivalries in the UCA, and as much as you've tried to put me over with what you've said in this topic, keep in mind that you definitely had the upper hand for the entire time between when I stopped being King till this very show.

CPU - If he ever reads this, I suppose thank you for just going with the fun! shit and keeping up with it. It was a really small thing, but I think our pairing proved to be pretty funny.

David - Thanks for being my re-introduction feud on my last run here. I'm honestly really glad you beat me, because I've already had my time in the spotlight here years ago and it was great to just put on one last top-notch promo-till-you-die style feud.

Stifled - Thank you for being the champion of the Belt-Polish Chugging match

Strife - Even though at times you have been a pain for a lot of us, and I certainly have very often thought you take UCA far too seriously, I think it's really cool that you've learned to keep that under control and you can just enjoy this now, and we can all enjoy you being here with no grudge over any mistake you may have made in the past. So really, props to you. You've stayed dedicated to UCA a lot even though we often pushed you back. Please do not take the way I started this message as the way I still think of you - you have moved far past being a pain and have become a truly vital piece of the UCA, its history, and its spirit.

Everyone who participated in the first Blood Sport - Thank you for surviving that, it's still my favorite thing I've come up with in the UCA regardless of how crazy it is and how hard it is to tally updates for.

The show Eruption - Thank you for being my start in booking and thank you for often being the best damn show of the week. It pains me that we had to kill you over Ruin and Combat, but that's what happened.

Apollo, Kora, Football, Shad, Emerald, ZSig, eaed, Eddv, Tom, Poka, Wigs, Sir Chris, Nee, Luigi motherfucking Lorenzo, and a bunch of other people that I didn't specifically name - Thank you for simply being here and taking part, because you all made this better for the rest of us and for each other.

Anyway

I arrived in UCA thanks to ctes. He's the one who recruited me, so I guess thank @ctesjbuvf for this. My plan was to work my way up. I wanted to dominate each division in succession, but there was an opportunity to win the MW title and then almost immediately win the HW title, which is what I did. And I was happy with that. I won the HW title by beating my first rival, Ayvuir, in the Ultimatum final. But I lost it almost immediately to Boko since he was trying to hold all the titles at once, and I think that left me a little dissatisfied.

I honestly thought that once I held all the titles at least once, I'd just start putting people over and having great feuds and stories, title or not. But there was always something new to chase. WotR getting the record reign, then my takeover from Tom, then Epopmania time, then WotR getting the most reigns, then me winning the HW title again because my first reign was so crap. Overtaking Boko in the title-days sheet seemed a pipe dream, but then I realized it was actually realistic because I was getting closer. And once I realized it was realistic, I had to do it. Then 1000 days popped up as a possibility, so I had to give that a go too. There was always another opportunity for a record, for history, and I kept constantly pursuing more. I kind of regret not being able to have more interesting, story-based non-title feuds with people but at the same time, there isn't a single significant UCA user that was in the company while I was that I haven't feuded with in some capacity. I think EmeraldEgg is literally the only significant post-2010 UCA competitor I have never feuded with, so I suppose I got what I wanted. Some of the feuds weren't great, but some of them really shone. I had a great feud with eddv, with Raven, with Solio. I don't think I've ever done anything better in UCA as a competitor than when I helped to build Solio in 2014. That also helped to set up his takeover, which didn't go so well but as a competitor our 2014 feud is one of the best things I've ever done. I was such an irredeemable bastard and set Solio up to be the one to beat me and that, I think, genuinely established him as a top-tier talent.

Honestly, though, I've had too much. I've got the most title reigns and the most title days, 1000 or not, and that's really amazing. Anyone who ever voted for me, I greatly appreciate. UCA became my b8 niche, the thing I'm most known for here, and I love it. I'll miss it.

Accurate on all fronts. I was on my way, but there needed to be a catalyst and that feud was what put me over the top.

I'd be a better admin now that I'm not a kid emotionally anymore. Kinda would like to see how that goes, but the time for that has long passed, and honestly I'm not sure I could really to devote the time to doing it right lol, and maybe I wouldn't want to anyways. But yeah, I had the booking and I know even way more about how to do it now, I was just dealing with other stuff and being a mess of a high schooler at the time. Wasn't the right time for me to try it out.

It'd be remiss of me not to mention the RL5 thing.

The reason I made "I won the title by tricking you all into believing I was RL5" a catchphrase was because I am so fucking proud of myself for that. Like I'm not really the kind of guy that comes up with such complex schemes and whatnot but on that occasion I really did. Nobody saw that coming, I manipulated everybody, and I'll be proud of that little bit of theatre maybe as long as I live, pathetic as that may sound. It was just...perfect.

But i have to admit, it was a failure. Because I wanted to be so hated, to be such an amazing heel, that I could go from being a realtively solid midcard competitor to being a guy who received zero votes in a title match. So I added Maniac, and this helped me steal a tie and extend the feud, which was a great stroke of luck.

UCA taught me a lot of things. It taught me that diligience, and the little things, matter. It matters if you don't update the files and stuff. It mattes if you do it wrong. It looks ugly if it's not formatted the right away. That sort of thing. I used to ignore that sort of stuff but now I see the importance of dying on-brand with that kind of thing.

I dunno for me personally, ive been chosing the ghost of the Epopmania 3-5 era for the last 5 years and that those were made so great specifically because the userbase was so amazing.

Hell your rise to the admin level was basically my fault. There was a Big Ole Feud brewing for control of the company - Lopen/Semi/Tim who wanted to kill it, Tom/Football/others who wanted to save it. I had been feuding with Tom at the time and put together my own team to try and save the company from the corrupt tom and the invaders.

The Third Rail. It was me and XIII and We teamed up with KP and Haguile and to everyone's shock we beat Tom and then we beat the invaders and then suddenly....it was our show to run. I never imagined XIII would hold onto power. The faction was so dominant that me XIII and Haguile all agreed to start feuding because we had basically killed the project with our dominance. XIII parlayed that into Brand extension and full time GMing.

Like XIII, after my big run on top that culminated in me unifying the titles coming out of brand sep, my big goal was to put people over and I feel I had some real success. Hell, even prior to it, I used my big damn feud with Maniac to put over Chronic.

I teamed with LuigiLorenzo and TLO and Caelus and gave them purpose and direction and helped them find their feet.

I got Sultan his first run as champion by stepping out of the way during the Trifecta era and letting him and eaed shine.

I pretty much always suffer from imposter syndrome even in my private life but looking back at all the stories I was able to tell with all of these different people it was so nice.

I keep hoping @Maniac64 will find the topic and reminisce. I miss him. Our big feuds together spanned the better part of 4 years. XIIIs feuds with me were all great too but you never forget your main rival.

I went away to go do Mercs (its the kind of thing that takes your entire mind and soul as it turns out) and was never able to find a way back in but I have enjoyed my emeritus status lately and will enjoy going out at Epopmania beating the holy hell out of Sultan.

Tom was running the UCA at this point, and was having computer problems (or was otherwise unavailable a lot for work reasons), and we had a lot of rushed guest shows. UCA was also stagnating, with many factions set in stone and storylines repeating (i'm not guilty of this, no sir). Since I just did random things with no rhyme or reason on my shows (was i a permanent booker at this point? I may have just claimed a bunch of shows in this timeframe), i somehow decided the best way to reboot the uca was to lock everyone in a ring and explode them. I'm kind of amazed I asked in advance!

It included three people, including me. I'm pretty sure I like quintuple booked us all
