**** the last 2 dickbags I just played in arena, the first pulled the ****ing lich king from a stonehill defender, which then proceeded to give him the only card that could have won it for him, Frostmourne. **** the next guy even more, because he turns the tide by getting primalfin lookout, into lookout, into lookout. TWICE. IN TWO TURNS. THEN pulls a natural lich king giving him probably the only card that could have won that one for him too! (the one that summons minions while removing non-minions.) It gave him 2 ****ing taunts when I could have gone face for the win.

I dunno, I'm just winging it, I'm just tired of barnes pulling out ysera into eternal servitude ysera.

Also, as a mage, like everything else would also be good "if" I were holding a polymorph or a meteor, since ysera/lich king/yshaarj all trigger on their own turn. Although i realize the hazard here is that if I wait too long to play dirty rat, he probably already got the barnes combo off already, and if I do it turn 2 it runs a very big risk of pulling out literally any other card with no way to destroy it for me. But hey, I gotta try at least once.

To chime in on the stafford thing, I'm with leon in that it's not so much stafford is worth it in a vacuum, but that he's just the most recently paid in a league in which the cap keeps going up and up and up. Every top player at their position is going to be the highest paid the longer we do this.

Also, the lions do have a choice, but this was the right one imo. I think stafford is talented enough that they are better off hoping he can somehow catch fire from now on rather than take a gamble at the draft. I think last year was enough for me to say that stafford really is better off without calvin johnson, not because johnson was a bad player, but because of stafford's own tendency to focus on him. I'm seeing that his QBR last year was his personal best, and I'm willing to bet it's because he's now looking for the open receiver rather than trying to force it to Johnson. Also looking at the stats, he's played 16 games each of the last 6 seasons, so he's overcome the injury plague that got him early in his career. He's certainly not elite tier but I think he is the kind of guy you want to lock up long term just because he's demonstrated he can play the position. At this point that's all you can really ask for.

Well I got randomly supered for 200k damage on my 4th run and then again on the next run so I just gave up. I feel like you HAVE to use stones to reset stamina to actually get any of the higher tier rewards. I mean when you're looking at it like that, some of the higher rewards like the Elder Kai's are okay but it's really not worth the risk I think.

You do yes, but you win enough stones in those rewards that it's generally worth it. It gets better the longer you play the game since higher rank = more stamina = more rounds before you have to burn a stone.

I am experimenting with my mage deck, and I think I've found a gem in Burgly Bully. Yeah I may lose my card every turn it's out if I have 7-8 cards in hand, but that doesn't matter if I can get ice block up and throw out antonidas! Fireballs for DAYS.

To be fair, from the quote I read it sounded more like ESPN went to him with it, and he said sure, rather than him going to ESPN and saying "i'm not comfortable with this."

That said, I have no problem with ESPN doing this because what they said is true, the possibility for bad stuff happening from it was certainly there.
