fat people are one of the most socially acceptable groups to be openly repugnant toward, because a common belief among people is that bullying works when it comes to obesity.

That said I don't think the OP video is showing a common attitude. Way more often people are happy seeing a fat person work out because it validates how they broadly treat and view fat people. That fat people hold immoral qualities like sloth and gluttony, so they deserve abuse not just to help them stop being fat, but because fatness is a visible indicator of inferior spirit. So when a fat person is seen trying to lose weight, it's viewed as an acknowledgment that they're bad as they are, rather than simply a health benefit. (Obviously there's also plenty of people that are just happy a person may feel empowered to go to the gym and are getting healthier.)

Over time though it is going to become much more widely understood that obesity is a disease especially as treatments improve.

There's a button that deposited $1 tax free into your bank account. It can be pressed as many times and as quickly as you want as long as it's being pressed by your physical body unassisted.

Only caveat is there is a 1/1,000,000,000,000 chance your head instantaneously explodes each time you press the button.

Would you press the button? How many times?

One is a reboot's new spin that likes itself way too much. The other is the biggest blockbuster series in history not being able to squeeze out a single new idea.

Neither is good but the latter is orders of magnitude worse. Oscar Isaac did not deserve that shit man. Can't imagine how much they had to pay him for Moon Knight.

My main issue with BCS is how much screen time is given to Gus and the cartel despite us learning literally everything we needed to know about Gus already in Breaking Bad. To me it really felt like he's mainly there for the audience to go "OMG remember Gus!?" Might feel differently if I felt he got more, interesting development, but he and most of the cartel felt very static, essentially obstacles and catalysts for Saul's life, but for such static figures they get a ton of screen time relatively.

Jokerless is definitely the hardest, but Medusa and Double or Nothing also stood out to me as being really annoying. Medusa felt like an RNGfest while the strategy for DoN was counterintuitive to me.

Anything that affects money in the challenges is pretty easy imo. Well besides Cruelty, but Cruelty itself isn't really worse than some higher stakes normal runs.

It's possible to never get a chance to buy the re-roll voucher and still get the "you must sell a joker" final blind on the Jokerless challenge. IE you can do all the work and RNG grind only for the seed to be mathematically unwinnable, and you don't know until the last 5%. This just happened to me.

I'm watching my friend play it and it honesty feels aggressively generic. Your 'pawns' literally speak like the actors in the gameplay showcases of AAA live service games. "If we want to fell this beast, we ought to try lightning powers!" "I would try to topple this foe quickly, before it loses its temper!" I don't think I can sell it with just text, it's the delivery of the lines that seals it.

And all the quests are like "can you go hear and find my soldiers? Can you go buy this? Can you go kill this?" Seems like the game is way more focused on the gameplay than the fantasy world, but when I watch him play he's mostly running around the monster's legs and occasionally doing a clippy-looking stab.

Also, I think the furry designs are really low-tier >_<

If you add in the guild navigators as a device to Dune part 1 and 2, nothing changes about the story it's trying to tell. Adding explanation for the Harkonnens getting the aid of the emperor's army or what the deal with WMDs is or why dukes' fiefs are being moved around is all extraneous to Paul's story. Nor is any of that baffling and confounding moreso than the premises of any work of fantasy/sci-fi.

Spice is not just described as a cultural thing, this is the one thing Dune Part 1 actually shamelessly infodumps on you using Paul's education cassette tapes.

https://youtu.be/1_TuEO6Mttw
"For the imperium, Spice is used by the Navigators of the Spacing Guild to find safe paths between the stars. Without spice, interstellar travel is impossible, making it by far the most valuable substance in the universe."
Later when Paul is overwhelmed in the spice field it's stated spice is a powerful hallucinogenic and the veracity of its future visions is left largely to the audience.

I mean you're comparing it to LotR vs Hobbit as well when the LotR movies necessarily cut out an enormous amount of worldbuilding and literary devices that construct the many messages of the books, in order to focus on the elements most conducive to the visual medium. The entire scourging of the Shire is missing and Saruman just disappears if you're not watching extended cut lol. No Tom Bombadil in Fellowship famously

Out of context, sure. In context? No explanation of limited solar power, troop deployment, nuclear stockpiling, spice hoarding outlawed (legally), the Emperor's machinations... tell me when to stop. Their sanctions are so goddamn important to the special flavor of political intrigue. Not even a cursory mention of the war of assassins.
You can't just extended info dump on people in a movie. It's a fundamentally different medium. It tells a story through visuals, something which is Denis Villenueve's expertise. The movie dune part 2 tells the story of Paul's tragic messianic rise in the way a movie best can. (Though again this is where I think the level of use of Islamic language and motifs is a fair criticism of the movie.) The book Dune does it in a way a book best can.

Could go on.
Things get changed in adaptations to fit medium structure. The only thing there that I think is really arguably an issue is the use of the word jihad. Yes I know guild navigators are really important to the logistical world building of Dune, but they're not strictly needed because knowing that spice is essential for the universe is already sufficient information for the plot to work.

About that media tour:

And to be a little more clear, the 'tunnels' they showed off were literally a bunker area built by Israel in the past, which Israel hadn't made explicit and wasn't widely known until an Israeli official mentioned it on cable news after the siege.

They tried to pass off infrastructure they already knew existed as Hamas-built infrastructure.

Of course, whether or not there is a tunnel under the hospital is no justification for Israel's sieges and bombardment, to be clear.

To be fair, that first one was most likely a misfired rocket from a non-Hamas anti-Israel group that joined in on the fight.
Whether that's true, my point is back then it seemingly meant something to Israel's defenders whether they were attacking aid renderers and bombing healthcare infrastructure, for a moral justification of Israel's response or at least for PR purposes. Now it's shifted all the way to "Israel has no choice but to bomb and besiege hospitals unless Hamas surrenders".

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-67216929

Nine days after the explosion at the car park of Al-Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza City, the exact cause of the blast is still contested.

The Hamas-controlled Palestinian authorities in Gaza accused Israel of hitting the hospital with an air strike. Israel said a misfiring rocket from the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) group was to blame, which they deny.

The US had already said Israel was not to blame based on "overhead imagery, intercepts and open-source information". The US - along with the UK and France - has not released the evidence that underpins their assessments.
And now almost all hospitals in Gaza are disabled.

https://www.cnn.com/interactive/2024/01/middleeast/gaza-hospitals-destruction-investigation-intl-cmd/
At least 20 out of 22 hospitals identified by CNN in northern Gaza were damaged or destroyed in the first two months of Israel's war against Hamas, from October 7 to December 7, according to a review of 45 satellite images and around 400 videos from the ground, as well as interviews with doctors, eyewitnesses and humanitarian organizations. Fourteen were directly hit, based on the evidence collected and verified by CNN and analyzed by experts.

https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/21/world/middleeast/israel-al-shifa-hospital-raid-gaza.html
Israeli military has reported killing more than 140 people it said were terrorists in and around the hospital, far more than in past raids.

On Thursday, the military said it had also detained 600 people at the hospital. The Israeli accounts could not be independently verified.

The Al Jazeera news network and Wafa, the Palestinian Authoritys news agency, reported on Thursday that Israeli forces had blown up a building used for surgery that is one of the largest at the complex. The Israeli military said it had no comment on the reports.
