On one hand it could have used to be longer, on the other most games are way too long

if the next one is like 50% bigger Ill be satisfied imo

I enjoyed it and am planning on doing a second playthrough soon with the DLC.

The length of it didn't really bother me at all. I don't want every game to be a massive 100+ hour slog.

Steaming pile. I played on Hard and didn't know until after my first playthrough youbcould upgrade your weapons. I had no idea, and it certainly never felt like I should have more firepower. Insulting easy, obnoxious shallow messaging, and disappointing exploration all make for quite the turd.

But it came out after Fallout 76 so people were literally eating feces to try to take their turn at an anti Bethesda jab.

I don't get the hate. I really liked it

People be like "OMG it's too short!" but I'd take short and tight over long and bloated any day of the week. I don't get why adding on 10 hours of extra corridor or open plain running would help.

See FF7:R which is super long but half of it sucks eggs.

Only thing that held it back was the companions were all pretty lame. But that's because Obsidian have always been bad at that

Way better than Fallout NV or Borderlands 3 or Chernobylite

Meh. 6/10.
It was passable and I played more of it than I do some other games. Not a very good game still, and I wouldn't particularly recommend it, but more-so yes than no.
I'll/I'd try Outer Worlds 2 if I can, but I'm not buying it.

It's a 6 out of 10. Just a little above average.

It has a nice look and feel to it. There are some interesting story bits and it's cool that you have some genuine effect on those. It is fun for a little while. But . . .

It gets sooooooo boring and repetitive.

The Flaw system was a neat idea.

Especially the little ways it interacted with the rest of the game, like taking Robophobia makes it so talking to robots is incredibly stressful for you.

I didn't really find any of it boring or repetitive. The game isn't long, every area is distinct and you always have multiple options of how to progress

I've heard the DLC is even better but I haven't tried it

I really liked it! I'd say 8.5 out of 10. I didn't have any major complaints. The writing was good, story was fine, gameplay was alright. Just wish it had a bit more content.

And it was okay. The whole "you can kill everyone" was largely more a noose than it was a benefit and most every complaint about the game tends to stem up from some decision that came about because of its inclusion.

I enjoyed it, but it definitely fell short in a lot of places and ended up being pretty forgettable.

I remember enjoying the writing for the first hour until I realized they were basically laying the whole anti-capitalism thing on hella thick and there wasn't much else to it. I'm OK with that narrative but the fact that it's there in your face constantly from the first interaction was annoying.

I guess the overall story ended up kind of intriguing now that I'm remembering it though

I played Outer Worlds on my PS4 without issues.
Refused to run Monarch, would freeze when leaving town almost immediately. The planet had issues but for me it was a total freeze. Reinstalled game, took system apart and cleaned everything, even reinstalled OS. Nothing helped and it was the only game that did this sort of thing.

I liked it. 8/10. I Played starfield for like 500+ hours.. but Outer was more fun, it had humor and characters. starfield was to watered down and safe.

for a small budget house, it was pretty good.

Most of the complaints I've heard were "it's too short" which is not affected by killable NPCs.

Adding lots of corridors and deserts so the game is 50 hours wouldn't affect whether you can kill NPCs

I can't think of any negative that came from you being able to kill everyone. Except maybe that there's no kids around?
