Well Super Mario RPG is an easy one to figure the "no remaster/remake" because Nintendo and S-E have a very distant relationship these days. Sure S-E will make games, but collabs are like pulling teeth. Cloud in Smash 4 gets two pieces of music, and it's confirmed that for Ultimate that Cloud was the last 3rd party fighter that Nintendo secured to ensure that they could do "Everyone is Here".
