If you buy online generally you are only paying $50-100 extra for the assembly fee. the parts are the same price. there are two types of prebuilt and if you pay for an "assembly fee" then you're not really talking about a typical prebuilt. the "pre-assembled" prebuilts are the worst(dell desktops etc.) since you practically never know what type of PSU and mobo they put in to skimp on costs and therefore have a potential disaster for failure on hand. the best type of prebuilts comes from the sites that allow you to choose everything for yourself with an assembly fee but by then you might as well assemble one yourself and get some better parts for the money saved. --- |
