Not inherently, but it's an easy platform to really exploit, abuse, and take advantage of. Some games actually DO come out and are pretty good but it feels like a majority either aren't released or are total shit.

Not inherently, but individual campaigns will abuse the system and their QA to run scams. Are the end of the day, you should never be giving money to a crowdfunding project that you aren't 100% willing to risk getting burned on, regardless of the platform because at the end of the day that's the risk you're taking no matter how legit a project seem or may even actually be. Doesn't mean you won't get burned.

seeing as it gave us games like divinity OS 2, hollow knight, torment, pillars of eternity, ftl etc. then nope.
