I guess I dont understand how that is that different or unique to our current universe. At least in terms of story telling. I get that people can now breathe in space, but so what? How does that make for a huge difference in a story?

people still gotta use some sort of transportation to get across space, so theres still spaceships. And most sci-fi movies I see people are walking around without helmets or anything anyway.

its a cool idea I just dont know that its really a game changer.

its really easy to pick out people who have never worked a day in their life. Because nobody who ever has worked with any sort of machinery or equipment is told to maintain it too.

These company behaviors would not be able to thrive in a blockchain dominated world as other developers would spin up the same type of services with the added bonus of "We developers cannot change our Terms of Service" and everyone would flock over to it.

In theory nobody owns the block chain. If you hold coins you can validate transactions and vote on protocol.

Some chains are centralized by people that hold a large amount of available coins though.

1. If you actually believe this for practical reasons, you should be able to understand why the source that TC provided is not actually aligned with "understanding how this happened". This has generally been the problem with people pushing the lab leak theory, is that it's trying to frame the narrative as "Oh this is an intentional shortcoming that SCIENCE did and CHINESE SCIENCE to boot" rather than idk something like the wet market theory which asks us as society to do a lot more international cooperation to control pandemics, etc. etc. But that sometimes requires things like quarantines, social distancing, masking, things that the senator who "released" this study are vehemently against.
2. If you're just grandstanding, a significant portion of those 15 million people dead were told what they could do to prevent their death from happening and chose not to.

I will never understand how we allowed ourselves to get to the point where it was considered conspiratorial to claim that it's possible covid accidentally leaked from an institute of virology, that happened to be at the epicenter of the pandemic, that also had been researching covid for decades, that also had been flagged in the past for falling short of the required safety standards.

But most fundamentally, a large language model is not a reasoning system. People really need to get over this idea that because chat GPT can form a paragraph that looks reasonable that it's thinking under the hood. It is not. Consider it a very advanced version of using sentence autocomplete on your phone where you can just tap the top recommended word and get something that looks a little bit like a sentence.

I can't stop people from falling for these things, but I just wanted to point out that these people exist and exploit serious democratic backsliding on the part of wannabe fascist governors & senators by basically creating a persona that enables donations. This was true of Abrams, McGrath, Harrison, arguably Beto by his Governor's run, and it certainly applies to this woman.

The redacted version circulated by authorities does not reveal that there were two different usernames involved. Jones provided a screenshot of her sons account, which showed he changed to his current username in January, before the threats were made. She said he has never used the handle associated with the threatening messages.
