You are correct. The sad part is when people on CE act that way without being facetious (assuming it isn't just plain ol' concern trolling, which it usually is).

If some people actually learned a lesson from it and took covid seriously as a result, then it's probably the most humanitarian thing to have come out of his career.

A few people quoted my original post saying that they arent being celebrated. My basis is going off of a lot of reddit comments literally being happy about it. I had to block that sub reddit when I was still using that site. As a PSA, yes it should exist.

And I would even say that if a public figure is spreading misinformation then maybe yes celebrate that they can no longer do that. But to celebrate in a rabid fashion is wrong. A lot of those people were idiots who were misled because everything is politicized and politics has become pro wrestling. I know people will still disagree with me.

Conversely, many people find a sense of poetic justice in watching someone who acts morally superior and downplays the severity of a potentially deadly virus (which resulted in the unnecessary deaths of thousands of innocent people, btw) becoming a victim of their own propaganda.

It's more like seeing someone about to swim across a crocodile infested pond and saying to them "hey, maybe that's not a good idea", and then they turn to you and mockingly say "DUUUUURRR dAt mAy nOT bE a GoOd iDeA!", then they jump in and are ripped apart by crocodiles, and we on the shore say "told ya", and go on with our day.
