I was pleasantly surprised given how much people complained. Regarding the jokes, I actually preferred it that way, as I've just never been able to take Thor seriously. For some reason, my brain has no problem suspending disbelief with a universe full of superheroes endowed with powers from radiation, genetic mutation, or cosmic origin, but when it comes to the mythological stuff, it just feels so ridiculous that the best approach for me was to totally lean into the absurdity and make a comedy movie, as Waititi did. That's just me though.

36, and realistically no. Our current house is fine, and while we had been really wanting to get a little more space, this market is ridiculous. A house with everything we're looking for would have sold for around $400k back when we bought our current house (2016). According to the inflation calculator, a reasonable price for one in today's dollars would be around $500k, which is what I'm willing to pay. Instead, equivalent houses are being listed at $650k+. And that's not even acccounting for the interest rates spiking. Fuck that.

Yes. Was driving home from work on an old two-lane road (one lane of traffic in each direction) that handles way too much traffic to be that small. I was waiting to turn left at an intersection when the oncoming car turns on its left turn signal as well. At this point there's probably 10+ annoyed cars stuck behind me as it's a single lane and I've been waiting for a chance to turn (it was a minor intersection, so no light/sign on the street I was on), so trying to do the right thing, I start turning. Oncoming car blows through the intersection and hits me in the rear quarter panel/wheel well. He gets out mad as hell, so I point out why did he have his turn signal on if he wasn't going to turn, and he admitted it was on, but claimed it was for a driveway a full 100ft past the intersection. Of course when the cops showed up, he changed his story and claimed he had no turn signal on and I just turned in front of him out of nowhere. With no real evidence, I was found to be at fault.

And that's why to this day, I now wait until anyone with their turn signal on is nearly finished turning before I even start. I should probably just get a dash cam.

Fatigue definitely setting in for me. Blade and Daredevil: Born Again could be cool. I'll also check out season 2 of Loki.

Also James Gunn really likes his dance sequences doesn't he. The opening is hilarious but the cgi eagle at the end is what really clinches it for me as amazing.

After I finished the show, I read an interview where he said his goal was to create an intro sequence where people wouldn't click the "skip intro" button. I can firmly say mission accomplished.

Do you have any visibility into what a final offer at the end of your contract would be? Contractors often make a significantly higher hourly rate because the company isn't providing any benefits.

Yeah they need to buy a studio with some established franchises or something. Whatever shit with Ryan Reynolds they cooked up this week just doesn't cut it when you compare to the movies coming to HBO Max and Disney+.

The games definitely tend to be pretty short and often a bit gimmicky, but at least their typical prices are lower (<=$30).

I had the Loaded A1 Stackburger last night actually. As I was eating it, I do recall looking at the beef patties and thinking "these look worse than usual," and that wasn't exactly a high bar to start with. Also the combination of A1 and peppercorn sauce was overpowering, I can't pass full judgement on the meat because I could hardly taste it through the pungent sauce blend. Overall, it wasn't great, but seemed still above McDonald's/BK. I'll probably need to try another one to confirm, but I'll stick to the regular bacon cheese next time.

I think the bigger issue, besides children crawling underneath while you're pooping, is the spaces between the door and the "walls". It's too easy to just peer through them.

This. It's one thing to see some ankles, but when I can look someone in the eye through spaces on the side of the door, something needs to be done.

Season 6 in general is the GOAT IMO.

Of the three, I actually enjoyed New Mutants somewhat. Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix tried to be the more traditional giant superhero epics and ended up stumbling around into inevitable collapse. New Mutants kept the stage smaller and used the more unique teen drama / horror movie approach, and was better for it.
