Too many jokes and most of them didnt land but still. Jane deserved better but this is a 7/10 movie. Me personally I wouldve ended the movie with the cancer diagnosis then given her a solo movie or spread out her role in other movies like they did with Hulk for her to make a sacrifice in Avengers 4 movie or something instead.

I was pleasantly surprised given how much people complained. Regarding the jokes, I actually preferred it that way, as I've just never been able to take Thor seriously. For some reason, my brain has no problem suspending disbelief with a universe full of superheroes endowed with powers from radiation, genetic mutation, or cosmic origin, but when it comes to the mythological stuff, it just feels so ridiculous that the best approach for me was to totally lean into the absurdity and make a comedy movie, as Waititi did. That's just me though.

I think the jokes not landing was the major problem. Ragnarok was jokes left, right and centre and that was okay because most of them landed.

It was straight-up expired hotdog water.

First half I couldnt stand. Simce the black and white part it becomes a great MCU movie.

Yes for like a week I think.

My thoughts are the same as ragnarok. It was pretty good but not really what I wanted. It definitely took it a step too far though. Still really enjoyable but could have been so much better.

I dont like that theyre building yet another Thor movie though. At least Im assuming it is with Hercules being a villain to somebody in the future. Thor does not need 5 solo movies with the same lead.

Why not? He's gotten a lot less focus than other starters and only really got the ball rolling on his third movie. I imagine the next movie will hand off the reins but as long as the movies are fun and chris still enjoys making them it's fine with me.

Taika already said he isnt coming back due to the reception of this movie. He could change his mind later on obviously but thats already the plan.
