I saw Scott Pilgrim 3 times.

Ong Bok I saw twice.

Oh, and The Hobbit 2, whatever that was called, but that was not by personal choice and I didn't like that movie much.

Honestly, not once in my life have I done this.

Technically I haveI secretly saw Frozen 2 with my nephew knowing my wife wanted to see it too. Told my wife, she got mad, then we went and saw it again. I dont think thats the point of the topic though.

Not during the same theatrical run. I saw The Dark Knight in theaters during its original run, and then again as part of a marathon of all three films in the trilogy that culminated with the midnight release of Dark Knight Rises. That's the only instance.

Not only have I done this, but I did this fairly recently with The Greatest Showman and Baby Driver. When I like a movie enough I like to see it with different people. I saw TGS with my husband (then-boyfriend) my mother, and one of my best friends. I also got drug to see Sing in theaters twice more after already seeing it once by my husband (then-boyfriend) and that same best friend. >_____>

Titanic, because I was in middle school and there was nothing better to do that summer. Can't recall any other movie I saw multiple times in theaters, at least, but I *would* occasionally, during high school, buy a ticket for one movie and then spend the entire day playing arcade cabinets and going into other movies I wanted to see.

For multiple times in theaters yes, for sure. Because different friends/groups invite me to watch it separately, especially with event movies like Endgame.

I was one of those crazy people who went to see Avatar multiple times (three to be exact). The 3D really wowed me and was worth experiencing a few times. Haven't rewatched it since.

I saw 300 three times too, but that was just me tagging along with three different groups. It was also a good spectacle to see in theaters, at least.

MAYBE once? Don't recall what it was.

But the only reason I'd ever do this is if I saw it and liked it, then two days later a friend was interested in seeing it. But usually I just wait until it's out on home video to watch it again, especially now that that's heavily streaming.

I saw Van Helsing in theaters THREE times. That's the only time I saw something in theaters more than once.

And I don't even like the movie. I just had three separate groups of friends want to see it and I'm like "sure whatever" at least the third time I saw it I was pretty drunk.

I might actually be OK with the movie had I not seen it 3x in theaters. Teenage decisions man.

Yes, numerous times. I believe my record is 3 for Fellowship of the Ring.

The most recent is Marriage Story which is weird because thats a Netflix movie which got a super limited run in cinemas. Different people wanted to see it and it was great, so thats why.

I've seen several movies multiple times in theaters, but they pretty much all seem to be super hero movies. Guardians of the Galaxy, GotG2, Thor Ragnarok, Deadpool, Avengers: IW and Endgame, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Daredevil probably others. I'd really have to dislike a movie to tell a friend "no, I don't want to see that movie with you" so a lot of those I saw just again just because of who I was hanging out with. GotG, though, I saw five times while it was still in theaters so there's no one to blame on that one but me.

No I didn't, never. And I don't understand those who do.
Even if it was a movie I enjoyed, the memory of it is too recent to actually want me to watch it again.
It's also not like a video game, in which you can replay it but play differently (even a non new game plus modes means you have more experience with the game)
In a movie the experience is exactly the same - you watch the exact same thing again

I have a friend who actually watched Endgame 15 times in theather. That is madness

the Dark Knight
the Dark Knight Rises
Guardians of the Galaxy
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Star Wars: the Force Awakens
Star Wars: the Last Jedi
BlacKKKlansman
Avengers Endgame
Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker

Usually did it to avoid spoilers but also catch it with my dad later

i actually disagree - watching a movie twice can be comparable to playing a game you've already beaten a second time. you're familiar with it but you still get something new out of it. i didn't catch all the little details and easter eggs in inside out the first time i saw it, for instance, so watching it a second time wasn't exactly the same experience.

DAVE (1993)

Saw this twice in the theater. I was 11.

Once with a friend on a boring Saturday afternoon in our local theater.

Told my dad about it and said it was funny. He asked if I wanted to see it again because now he wanted to see it. So I went again the following day.

I, to this day, will watch that movie whenever it is on. We just don't get movies like that anymore.

I used to do this more frequently in the past. Especially when I worked at movie theaters, once I walked into a showing of Dark Knight Rises just so I could take a nap.

Disregarding free movies though, I watched a few MCU films more than once in theaters (Infinity War being the most recent). Revenge of the Sith was probably the movie I saw most, I was only 15 when it was released so it was my favorite back then. Saw it five times. I feel some shame about that now. Oh but I did see the Last Jedi two or three times as well, no shame there.

Star Wars: Attack of the Clones... kinda, I think.

IIRC my brother got sick when we went to watch it the first time so we left midway through and I ended up seeing it in full later. Not sure if that counts since it seems to be against the spirit of the question.
