Thought it might be Danganronpa, but it looks like there's a bunch of spinoffs I haven't touched. I didn't get any Xbone Halo games but I thought it mighta been that for a second. Never got Smash 4, too, or it woulda been that, but it's probably just Golden Sun for me. Thought it mighta been tied with Ecco the Dolphin or something but apparently there were two edutainment spinoffs. To Ecco the Dolphin. Right.

I honestly can't think of a single one.

Smash is out because I missed Smash 4. Donkey Kong Country is close, but I never played the first DKCR. Ultra Despair Girls (along with any mobile games I'm sure are out there as well) is keeping me from listing Danganronpa. I finished Myst I-IV, but couldn't make it to the end of Uru and never played V despite owning the game. Even the Chrono series has Radical Dreamers.

And I feel obligated to mention that I've sadly missed out on a decent handful of Kirby games. Air Ride, all of the Wii/WiiU titles, the original Adventure (but I have played the GBA remake), Super Star Ultra (have played the original, of course), the Japan-only SNES version of Star Stacker, and all of those eShop titles like Kirby Fighters and such.

It could be Super Smash Bros. at 5. This counts 4 as one game as I didnt get the 3DS one.

I am pretty close with Zelda, if you dont count the games that do not actually have the Zelda branding (eg Hyrule Warriors, Links Crossbow Training), I am only missing AoL, FS, and TH, and I have easy access to the first two, I should beat those.

I mean what would even a Smash spinoff be? It's a combination of characters from other franchises. If you made a Nintendo sports game, it wouldn't be considered a Smash spinoff.

As others have said, mine is almost definitely Golden Sun at 3 or Smash Bros depending on what counts as beating those games.

I'm close-ish on Metroid, Zelda, and Fire Emblem but there are a handful of spin-offs for each I haven't played and don't plan to.

Unless it's a game you literally cannot play. The Mass Effect mobile games are not available anymore, for instance, so you can discount them if you want.

Some singular game that I've beaten that isn't part of a series.

I could almost count Golden Sun though, just need to actually play TLA again since I'll probably beat the final boss on my next attempt, which would be the only game that's unbeaten.

Starcraft?

Starcraft counts as like...four or five singleplayer campaigns I think? (Starcraft 2 definitely has three full single player campaigns released literally years apart launching as their own full priced games basically. Brood War's campaign probably doesn't count as a separate game from SC1, but that's still 4 games ish). I assume I can get away with not playing Starcraft 64 or all the Nova mission packs and still get away with saying that I've beaten every Starcraft game.

I struggle to think of any other remotely long series where I've played every entry.

Had to add the spinoff caveat :( I can't think of anything with a full breadth of completion because of it that simultaneously has multiple entries. Except Portal. And Metroid, because Nintendo hates us.

No surprise one of my highest would be Castlevania, where I'm missing Lament of Innocence, Curse of Darkness, Chronicles, and the whole Lords of Shadow line (but strangely not Kid Dracula, nor Judgment, nor either Adventure, nor Adventure ReBirth.)

Also unsurprising is Final Fantasy where it's easier to say what I didn't: 11 doesn't count due to online, ditto 14 even if I'm at the end of the main story now. That leaves... 12, 13-2, LR-13, 15 before we get into spinoffs. Of those, basically every non-remake 7 side story, the Dissidia games, the Crystal Chronicles series at large, World of FF, and the first Theatryhthm (but NOT Type-0)
Fuck, there's a lot of Final Fantasy.

Be as restrictive or free as you want with definitions! As a place full of hardcore gamers it's just interesting to me that it's so difficult for many of us to think of an answer that fits without qualifiers.

I would say you should need to complete the main story quest of FF14, yes. The main story quest is a bunch of solo fights, long FF style cutscenes, with the occasional 4 player dungeon and 8 player boss fight.

You can ignore basically all of the MMO aspects (you don't need to ever enter a single raid, you don't need to socialize, you don't need a single person on your friends list, you don't need to buy or decorate a house, you can unsub after 30 days).

But if you don't know who Emet-Selch is, no you haven't beaten every FF game.

(I don't know if FF11 has something equivalent, though).

In 2019 I was doing a crazy marathon and played every single one. Including the shitty games like Survivor, Operation Raccoon City, Umbrella Corps..and the board favorite - Gaidan

Some of them are actually decent for mobile games. Genesis is a mobile demake of RE1 & Uprising is a demake of RE2. They're neat! Confidential Report is pretty good too, it's a turn based game and original story taking place during the Raccoon City incident.
