So....turns out elemental mastery does NOT scale elemental damage. It only effects reaction damage (like overload/vaporize/etc). This makes that stat virtually worthless in my eyes. Like yeah, my reactions could do a bit more damage, or I could just have everything do more damage. However I got water sword guy so I think if I use water sword guy and then oz I'll be proccing the electrocuted effect constantly and it'll do like 56% extra damage from all the mastery. Idk, probably still not worth it. I want venti dammit. Probably be like a week or two before I get him.

Getting a dupe of jean isn't bad at all. She's 5 star and now you have a constellation for her. I've gotten a few more but I really only use 3 and you get 1 for free. Of the characters I've drawn that I use it's just 1 Diluc and 2 Fischl.

Realized the martial artist set bonus I thought I was getting was the 4 piece one and thats just not worth. Now I'm running 2 zerk and 2 souj for the crit and attack boost. I hit 20 and went through a fair amount of the spiral abyss but things eventually got too tanky and I timed out. Those damn level 50 abyss mages take forever to break. I think I was some way through floor 4.

I appreciate that food is disabled in there so they can actually have a challenge. I actually had fischl die off at one point (Diluc is too much of a chad to die). Still, despite the fact that they can make it a challenge to survive, it seems that the real challenge is time and I'm real sick of time being the only issue. It's not like I'm fighting like a coward, I'm in the thick of it with Diluc practically spamming his burst and skill while briefly swapping out to drop oz or trigger barbara healing.

Oh well, got my free character and since I'm running 2 pyro for the attack buff, she gets a spot on the team kicking out amber.

This thing can run Genshin Impact, so I've been playing it a bit too. At rank 7 so far. Just finished getting the lightning mage girl. Haven't done any wishing yet. LIke the gameplay. First time I started accidentally climbing a tree was a fun wtf moment.

Read through what's been scanlated for Gamurakan the yesterday, which is a weird series not so much for the concept but the seeming lack of direction. The lawyer you think is being set up as the main character quickly becomes a side character. Then we have the cops who also seem to get less time than the "angels" (basically wingless fairies) who are often acting without any sense of purpose. You'll see them possess a character, but then that character just goes to work like normal... and then acts weird at work.

And, as chapter 22, a lot of the concepts are barely explained. Can angels multiply or are there just a lot of them we didn't see at first? (Because we see a ton of tiny ones at once at times.) Is there any connection or significance to the dolls we occasionally see? Why did it seem like the old woman was actually a cat when clearly other people talk to her and we we see photos of her years ago? And who are those two guys just randomly wandering around?

While I've read a lot of manga with a mystery element, those still tend to have more direction and kinda establish some things. Right now it just seems like possessed humans have limited control and, if you kill the fairy, kill the host at the same time... assuming that the first fairy even died at all. Possessed humans can phase through glass and maybe stone, but they can't move through metal (because one was bound by the handcuffs so it cut off its hand) and presumably the metal bullet was what was slowing down its escape.

That was kinda more what I was expecting, something that was alright but didn't really wow me. Granted, after hearing the other renditition, this one was going to have a harder time no matter what.

max 20 draws from the leftmost banner and it's slightly better than any other banner (certain guaranteeds) so no reason not to pull all 20 as soon as you can

you'll get noelle plus 1-2 other 4* characters iirc

he's not great but i need a 2nd one because i want to unlock his first constellation since it seems like it's just his ult but slightly weaker if I'm understanding the wording right, except it procs at the end of a regular combo with no cooldown

chongyun is great, one of the best in the game

in a game where elemental combos is the key to high dps, a teamwide elemental imbue on a low cooldown with high uptime is amazing

Cryo is like the rarest good element. Theres god tier pyro and electro users and 2 great water healers. Rounding it out with cryo is actually really solid. Don't forget there are buffs for using multiples of the same element in your team. Most notably 2 fire is 25% atk boost (teamwide) and 2 anemo is 15% stam reduction, 10% movespeed, and 5% cdr. Double electro lets you spam electro bursts but is otherwise meh. Geo is the worst element.

Oh and always make sure your team has an archer and a claymore for exploration. Claymore breaks shit like mining way faster and archery is required for some chests.

Apparently patch 1.1 got leaked for genshin and they are massively improving odds for characters. It's 50 rolls to gaurantee the banner 5* and every 10 roll gaurantees a 4 star "bonded fate" that lets you pick whichever 4* you want. It's also going to be retroactive supposedly so you'll get extras for what you already spent.

I really wish Isekai was its own genre on manga sites, so you could filter it out. Seems like for several years now about 2/3 of the top listed manga were isekai. You'd think it would have slowed down a little bit by now..

That is unfortunate although I guess not too surprising. I'm at rank 22 and fought the wolf boss (the story version and then real version). He was pretty fun but still took him down first try without any food. Diluc did finally go down though but I finished it off with Fischl. It sounds like he is the toughest boss currently? Kinda hurting my motivation to keep playing if he doesn't get any new moves on higher world levels unless there are some other tough bosses. Also took down fire plant and geo elemental bosses. Pretty easy. Basically face tanked em both. I think that leaves me with the real stormterror which I need 25 for, the ice plant, and the oceanid.

Which bosses need co-op for them? Maybe something in the spiral abyss?

Revamped my gear a bit. Put exile on Fischl and instructor on barbara. Still mixing zerk and souj for Diluc. Xiangling is still just a resonance bot for me. Her burst seems extremely unsafe, every time I cast it, I get hit before I can move.

The beginner banner I'm assuming. Think I've got 11 wishes that would work on that banner and 10 of the other kind of wishes.

Hard goofed and bought 8 AFs instead of IFs with some primo gems. Oh well, got another lisa and thats it. Basically wasted primogems. Also I noticed I didn't get any masterless glitter for lisa but I did for my fischl dupe. Not sure if it's banner specific of because I never technically pulled lisa even though you get her free. Getting 5 glitter basically makes getting a dupe of a character free so I'm hoping it's just because I didn't pull her before.

Hit AR 23 and just going through quests I guess. I killed ice plant boss in xiangling's quest which was super easy so the only unfought boss I have is oceanid I think. Kinda hoping theres some more bosses I just don't know about. So far the wolf is the best.

Running out of stuff to explore though. Found the last few statues of the seven today so the whole map is clear. Have all the teleport spots in monstadt and I'm getting up there in terms of anemoculi. I've still got like 15 teleport spots to unlock in liyue but that'll probably get done tomorrow and then I guess I just do quests or hunt achievements. Feel kinda discouraged from doing spiral tower since I'll just time out but thats the main thing thats left in terms of challenge.

Also kinda realizing my greatsword isn't quite as great as it seemed. I didn't realize how much energy you actually need in order to burst. Diluc has a pretty low cost one but it's still 40 so even with my energy recharge, my sword is only giving me like 10 every 12 seconds. I think it'd be better to forge the one that super crits every 12 seconds and has %atk as it's second stat (dealing 240% ATK in a small AoE) although it'd be nice to just get a 5* claymore.

I did my 20 beginner draws, I got Noelle of course and some other chick that uses broadswords and is electric element, she's 4* I believe. Besides her and Noelle, I didn't get anything else above 3*.

I assume the electric claymore user that has the only counter in the game? Not a bad 4* honestly. I think Noelle is one of the worst characters but partly cause Geo just sucks but the cd on her skill is soooo long and it only has one tiny proc of damage on it's initial cast so she doesn't have great access to elemental orbs for getting her burst.

I need to do some maths on crit but right now I kind of feel like just stacking as much attack as possible is the way to go. Be aware flat attack from artifacts is NOT affected by multipliers making it somewhat worse than it appears.

From looking over the current weapons on the wiki, it feels like a lot of the wish 4* kinda suck. I think specifically the best claymore is the prototype animus, which you can craft. Both 5* are better but obviously rare. I'm not really sure which bow is ideal for Fischl. Probably the one that boosts ATK by 36% when you hit a weakspot since I only actively use her for fights with bosses or pyro mages. That's also craftable. Although the one that refunds skill CD on hit might be able to let you keep oz out full time. It has energy recharge statline which kinda sucks. Theres a few bows I'd need to see to really know how strong it feels. I have the best catalyst already (the widsth). I don't use sword or spears but I guess I need something for xiangling.

Not sure where you are seeing that. In any tier list I can find he is solid A tier. S tier pretty much always has Diluc, Venti and qiqi and then often times Fischl.

She really is responsible for the current boom in the west.

I guess I discovered vtubers partly from melody and partly from all of the asmr content I consume, but melody definitely played a huge part in it for a lot of other people. I never even watched any of Kizuna Ai's videos when she was popular.

It was cooler than I remembered, with a large scale original fight scene. Guess I'll start on Brotherhood pretty soon.

Started reading Strangers from Hell, which is low-key disturbing (and possibly more disturbing for being so low-key disturbing). It references the idea that "hell is other people" a lot at the onset, which works given the setting where this guy is moving into a heavily-communal apartment building where all of the residents are mysterious, creepy, and seemingly hate each other.

And in like the first chapter where the guy is out drinking with his boss / former classmate, the two witness some guy getting beat up in the street and the boss tells him to just play it out... and then they come out and the dude is dead, so the boss is encouraging him to just move quickly so they don't have to deal with the cops asking questions. Kinda sets the tone for the series.

tbh, I still remember the scene where they burn down their home when, at the time, I thought about the fact that it's not even legal to burn stuff in your yard where I live and here they're burning their whole house.

Have you watched Brotherhood? I do not like Shonen, but Brotherhood still remains one of the best anime I have ever watched. Watching it as it aired (and the manga ending at the same time) was pretty hype.

Oh, I've read the manga and all of the anime for both series (show, movie and OVA). I love it all, but I actually prefer the original anime over Brotherhood, for various reasons.

Yeah but around 27 you reach a point where you've explored basically everything and you still need some levels to go on. The adventurer handbook gives a lot of points if you can manage to fill them in and dailies give 1k but like, 1k isn't even half a level. Some domains have a first time completion bonus of up to 500 xp and some of the easy side quests give like 375 for 2 minutes effort.

I really don't know how you can reach 40 or higher. The resin system kind of ruins everything because aside from mining in co-op, basically everything that matters is tied to resin. This also makes co-op basically pointless. Considering you can't auto quests, I don't understand what the point of resin even is. As it is now you can fight 3 bosses and then you are done for 6 hours.

You get enough just doing dailies and using your resin to get about 20 rolls a month and then a lot of rolls give glitter to give you some more rolls. I do think they'll need to improve the resin and gacha system if they actually hope to get people to keep playing.

Just watched Kite (great stuff). But one of the things I love about older shows on DVD is the previews for other shows, occasionally ones that I haven't heard of. Marriage looked pretty good (apparently based on a visual novel), and Shinesman seemed hilarious, especially the dub which doesn't take itself seriously in a good way.

Are the Rune Factory games really fringe or something? Just noticed a lot of places don't seem to even carry Rune Factory 4 for the Switch despite the fact it just came out earlier this year.

I saw it listed for $40 and was just price shopping it to see if I could find a lot cheaper and had been considering waiting because there aren't many games that seem to be worth $40 these days. At the same time, I remember waiting to get the previous installments and I can't remember ever seeing them for a great price. idk, considering I've been interested in the franchise since the first game came out and still haven't picked one up, I guess I might as well just get it now?

At any rate, I only started to run into and think about it because I was waffling over whether to get the 3D Mario All-Stars collection (which is hard to justify since I really just want for SM64 and I own all of the games on still-working systems at this point), then somehow I instead get back to looking at a lot of other titles I had considered in the past. This is despite having a massive queue.

That might be because Rune Factory 4 Special has been emphasized as a digital release, too. As for the series as a whole, they are niche titles, but RF4 is far and away the most popular of the lot.
