Actually, one gripe I have is how annoying arena is. The game cuts you off from skipping whenever an action is performed (so you have to be quick and skip in between moves), unlike TAC where you could press the menu to go to skip while things were happening. Also, I somehow lost to a guy who was between level 10-12 when I had level 19 Aileen, and level 26 Y'shtola and ice thot :<

I wish there was a way to watch how matches went down afterwards...

Alright it's time to talk about the elephant in the corner, and it's how fucking bad the writing is in Arknights. This side story is so badly written that it's losing me with every 4-5 dialogue. You can't just drop us in a random conversation that goes on for a full fucking 5 minutes between 2 guys we know nothing about in a dialogue we can't understand without any context.

Most of the dialogue happening in a static 2 non-moving characters with most of the actions omitted or clumsily worked into the dialogue doesn't help either. It's difficult to care about some big combat or event happening when they're being explained with no help from cg or descriptive texts by characters who are observing it from a distance. If they were gonna do this, they should've taken some theater class and learned how a purely dialogue based play should be written.

Also, about 70% of the characters in the main story are the same characters with interchangeable portrait. Early on when characters started going in and out of the story, I didn't even realize it. I know now because I've used some of those characters in the game, but I actually didn't realize I went through like 3 different characters who interact with you and Amiya in the same goddamn way and fulfilled the exact same role of "combatant girl"

I've never played The Alchemist Code though, so all of this stuff was legit overwhelming/obnoxious compared to any other gacha I've played.

Maybe having some sort of supposedly terrible disease going around wasn't the greatest idea for a game that sells itself on cute girls. Initially, I thought the idea was that the people with animal features were the ones that had the disease and I honestly think that would've made more sense.

Yeah one thing I found funny was that Oripathy caused Eyja to be deaf, but... there's nothing about the character that shows that this affected her life. She's honestly pretty well off for somebody that young

I don't mind the story in Arknights. As of now I think that we're too early in the story for notable plot twists, because I heard that Crownslayer has a chance to be good in a later chapter. And there's likely something to be going on with Amiya, considering that Kal'stit or whatever her name is is so concerned about those rings on all her fingers and neck. The most cliche guess would be that the rings are keeping her power in check and that if too many break she'll turn into an berserk unstoppable killing bunny for a little while as evidenced by her S3.

Also, story-wise infected are easily identified apparently, and not just when Originium crystals start forming like on Lappland. Magallan could tell that Simone was infected, even though she looked like an ordinary classy lady.

But for the most part, I don't think that Oripathy really hinders people (Eyja aside). As mentioned in the game, it actually boosts arts effectiveness at the cost of speeding up Oripathy. I may be wrong on the game mentioning it cripples people though. I actually spent a lot of time reading up on the background of operators while I was waiting for my Sanity to recover lol.

The whole 'speeding up oripathy' thing would be the crippling effect, since you eventually die and your corpse becomes a new vector of infection. Of course, most of its ongoing negative effects are quality-of-life stuff (senses, respiration etc) which isn't inherently obvious with the way it's presented to us, which I do agree could be done better than how it's being done now.

They soft-launched it in SG a day or two ago, you could get the apk through QooApp, and yes Singapore = SEA= Asian = EN = Global, they are the same server, imagine Pokemon Master.

Been having a blast with it so far, I'm not a huge fan of the Vanguard anime but I've watched it a bit. Game isn't as overly complicated as YGO/Shadowverse so it's easy to pick up and relatively mild compare to other two since all you need to win is pray that you pull a CRITICAL/STAND/HEAL/DRAW trigger lol. It's easy to digest whilst having a certain depth in it.

I'm kinda sorta hoping Drang gets FLB next month. Would be perfect timing with this event and Water GW upcoming. And then maybe a Sturm und Drang duo unit, probably in Dark so you can use them alongside Orchid/BK.

Then again I was expecting Io to get FLB before Light GW when Lucio got the great rebalance that she needed way more, and she was the next Grand in order, but nope, so I dunno

I'm hoping to make an OTT deck or a Royal Paladin deck. I should go RP tbh for less of a stress since OTT you have to always focus and that's gonna get tiring. I've seen that they added some QOLs along the way like seeing how many trigger's drawn on both sides or how many grades are on the field/gy. Maybe I'll depend on the luck of the draw and go with whatever I roll into better.

I'd hold off on Kagero since I see they added The End, and Kagero will probably be The End or don't even bother

Either way I'd probably need to crack my Sierotix fund to get more damabars so that's a bit of a pain.

Managed 325 on Lungmen Downtown, not too bad. More than anything I think I need better Snipers, Meteorite pulls her weight but Kroos and Jessica not so much. I do like the layout of the map though, it makes it easy to put Silverash/Lappland on the top/bottom in a way that they can support the center lane characters.

also the autoturrets are worse than I was expecting. They just bounce off pretty much any Defenders but chop off like 40-50% of a Sniper's health which is pretty bad when they're being targeted by other stuff.

Yeah, Water is an element that I like character-wise but it's undoubtedly the worst option for null-element content right now. I have plenty of Dama atm so I could go Varuna if I roll a 2nd Drang Ball, but I want to hope there's a better Grand soon that'll make Varuna actually on-par with other Primals. KMR hates Water though, so probably not.

incidentally, Water Quartz is going to be a huge problem if I upgrade my Magna stuff and then decide to go Primal, so I'm just holding out on upgrading any Water weapons atm in case I do decide to go Primal before GW, the GW rotation being out of order really messed me up. And the new event isn't even Water Quartz.

Hades is another element that I want to go Primal for, but no Hades or Bahamut summon and my only Grands are 1x Fallen Sword/Unheil, so that doesn't seem great. On the other hand I have solid characters for LuciHL in Dark and I've almost cleared the HP requirement, so FLB Opus is actually realistic sometime in the future, at least.

Magia Record's anime is confirmed to be getting a second season/cour after the final episode of the first one aired today and ended on a massive cliffhanger. The anime's story looks to be diverging a lot from the game's story, so it'll be really interesting to see where the hell this goes in the second half. Also, the anime ending for now means no more free 10-pulls in the game every weekend...

Yeah I once tried bringing a friend E2 Ejya and watched her immediately get 2hkoed by a turret, E2 Exu at least has her buff which makes her the tankiest sniper (And even then that heavy arts drone knocks off like 70% of her HP)

I don't even have any water Dark Opus at the moment, which especially hurts my Water HP in Magna. Even at 80x140 Varuna my double fimbul at least punches above 20k which is a decent start. Game also saw fit to give me the full four Aglo swords so I kinda have a second bootleg drang ball lol

Yeah I think I got 395 on Downtown? My Eyja doesn't seem quite skilled up enough to use s3 within 2 brief periods like I've seen a guide can around the 330ish mark. It makes one of my tanks get stunned and letting a bunch of enemies through. I think if I can somehow survive that little part, I can potentially get 400. I would also need to E2 my Silence just to be safe

That's because in FGO the different outfits actually change up the character entirely; they're not just eye candy like in so many other games. For example, Artoria's "normal" form so to speak is as a Saber, and she's super crappy. But her swimsuit one is her Archer form, and she's ridiculously good.

That's not to say that all units are upgraded by wearing skimpier clothing, but they're entirely different characters as all their attacks and even their Noble Phantasms change (most of the time).

Basically I should be killing the stunner b4 it reaches my tank. Much easier solution than a strategy that will probably cause problems down the line

Just earlier this month, the rarest servant in the game was released on NA. A 4* (not even 5*) servant who never again has had a rate-up, so you had to whale for her then and there.

On the flip side, its a great feeling when you save up for a year for one particular servant, then get them within ~10 rolls or so. Happened to me with Abby, so I didnt have to open my wallet at all then. Of course, instead I opened my wallet for Hokusai, and while I only got one copy of her (vs three Abbys), I also got Moriarty and Gilgamesh.

Surprisingly, Im feeling the hurt in Priconne more atm. Their rates are only marginally better, but theyve been releasing limited units nonstop since New Years.

There's no real reason to use Anni3 for your weeklies after completing it anyway, Anni2 is much faster. Gonna be doing that myself since I finished A3.

More DPS is always a good solution, though aside from ifrit I don't think you've much other options left. I don't think my setup would have worked that well without E2 Ifrit constantly melting defense lol

As an aside, was the guide you were watching using Ptiopsis? Because her E2 grants 30% increased SP gain for everyone.

Though uhh... I really don't see the point of soft releases anymore lol. The apk file itself isn't region locked by any means. You can dl it from just about anywhere and simply install on the phone, which I guess I should mention is not illegal especially for a free to download game.

See, I could never play an insanely stingy gacha game like this. It would drive me crazy. All of the gacha games I've played for a significant amount of time either have a consistent pity system (Magia Record, Revue Starlight ReLIVE), have plenty of re-runs even for limited units (Fire Emblem Heroes, Symphogear XDU) or don't actually have limited gacha units and just give you so fucking many rolls that eventually you're bound to get who you want through sheer persistence (Girls' Frontline).

Oh man lol. I'm 3 tenpulls away from a spark and my precious dog zodiac. I'm spamming fate stories and side stories right now

So for Vanguard, the tip is to reroll til you get at least 1 RRR of every one of the crucial cards in a single clan. You have to go with the clan you pull the best for, as you can't mix-match clans effectively. You lose out on nearly every mechanic in the game, and you don't gain any relevant advantage off of it. Cray Elementals are sorta the jokers that bypass this restriction and can be in every deck, but they have 0 effect and are basically placeholders. The only exception I can think of isn't in this game yet is Majesty Lord Blaster, who gets various advantages off of putting Blaster Dark, a Shadow Paladin, in a Royal Paladin deck.

The reason you get 1 RRR of almost every good RRR in a deck is that you can grind multiple copies of any card as long as you own a single card, as far as I can tell. You also want to get a perfect guard (they call it sentinel) which are all RR.

If you get a good deck, another advantage is that now you can grind any opponent you want. If you don't have a single good deck then you won't beat the higher difficulties

Trigger-wise, I recommend experimenting with a bunch of builds. I think in this game, draw triggers are considered the best because rank 2s are pretty fuckin powerful in this game, as rank 2s all have a passive called intercept, and more draws mean more rank 2 to protect your vanguard. You have to attack an intercept first before you can attack the vanguard (in the actual game, they just contributed to the guard, which this game doesn't have). Meaning opponents have to waste a bunch of attacks, which makes guys like Blaster Blade so powerful because he gets rid of an intercept for free.

Honestly? I didn't expect to like this new format this much. It's very refreshing, though it doesn't have the level of opponent interaction as the main game

I did it, you guys. Went through 150+ fate episodes and a handful of different side stories, gathering up more crystals and single tickets to get the last 30 pulls for spark. And I got it. And I got my dog zodiac waifu, Vajra. ;_; So happy
