So Magia Record had a re-run banner for two magical girls, the 4-star Kanae and the 3-star Mel, that I didn't pull from the first time around because I was saving for something else. I really wanted Mel. but didn't really care about Kanae.. and somehow, in the 50 pulls it took for me to get a single copy of Mel, I managed to pull three copies of the much rarer Kanae that I wasn't even going for. But she's apparently really good, and her design isn't that bad (rocker magical girl who fights with a magic crowbar is a pretty cool aesthetic) so I may as well level her

And now I go back to not spending any magia stones until Ultimate Madoka gets re-run.

Uh oh... I heard that WotV is a lot like The Alchemist Code, which could mean a lot of tugs at the ol' wallet. But whatever, I'll give it a try and hopefully it doesn't demand too much money lol. Would anyone know if it's true that Sasayaki isn't available at launch? I wanted to reroll for her and Mediena, but it's looking like I'll have to settle for just the latter.

I'll be skipping that game, played The Alchemist Code before and this is basically a carbon copy of that game but with FF character slapped into the title. If you are expecting War of the Lions you'll be sorely dissapointed.

If you have played TAC before you know how stupid the grind is, and I don't mean normal stupid I mean infernal hell level of stupid.

Romancing Saga on the other hand...I'm interested in it. Haven't heard much of it, but I'm hoping it'll be good.

Eh I've been watching a dude named Cabbage (AOJ on youtube) talk about the game so I'm going in with a fixed set of expectations. Seems right up my alley.

As for Saga, looks okay but I've never liked the Saga series leveling/stat/skill learning systems.

whew, finally beat CE-5 in Arknights. Had to get Melantha and Nighingale to E-1 and then spam levels until I was able to survive the initial laser sword murder rush, but once that was done it became a lot simpler.

Incidentally, I don't understand why the LMD mission is time limited but the EXP mission is always available when you need LMD to actually use the EXP items. And you also need LMD for a lot of other things.

The EN-exclusive magical girl for Magia Record has now been fully revealed. She's limited and coming shortly after a lot of people emptied their stashes for Ultimate Madoka, so that's not good. Thankfully, it looks like her fairly low ATK stat (for an Attack type meguca at least) is going to keep her from being too OP despite being the first magical girl in the whole game to have four of one kind of disk in her arsenal. Only an American would have...

oh there we go, after complaining I get my first 5-star from Recruitment, a Meteorite dupe from Debuff. Not bad. And I should be able to get another 5-star tomorrow after the banner change, I think.

I feel like a collab announcement for fall is almost certain but I haven't the foggiest.

Maybe a BotW collab to build hype for BotW 2.

Finally pulled a rainbow in Priconne Rin gacha.

It's... Xmas Ilya.

After getting four dupes of the original Ilya, this is actually completely fine. Great, even. She was high on my want list. I didn't actually want Rin anyway, only Uzuki, but I did end up getting Uzuki quickly, so I figured I'd make a token effort to complete the NG trio.

The rest of my day was pretty garbage though. I whaled hard for Bluet and Cat's Tail in Flower Knight Girl, only to get SIX FUCKING Passion Flowers instead.

I downloaded both Dragon Sky and Financial SaGa re;universe.

Dragon Sky is a simple little hybrid between bullet hell and cookie clicker. Tap an egg to spit out a level 1 dragon, drag two level 1 dragons onto each other to make a level 2 dragon and so on and the way up to level 10. Merge two level 10 dragons to get a gacha dragon the game automatically shoots everything for you while you're frantically smashing dragons together. It's pretty cool.

SaGa is really pretty but has none of the charm of the original games. I'm already losing interest and I'm not even done with the tutorial missions.

I like this event in Arknights for how not intrusive it is. Literally just play the game as usual and you can get everything on the side as a bonus lol. Though redeeming all of them is a bit of a hassle. I haven't done the Ch 5 event stage's challenge mode yet, but I was able to beat it on normal. Having 2 big nukers feels like cheating. Also it's one of those maps were you realize building 2 of everything is a bit of a pre-req. 2 tanks, 2 vanguards, 2 rangers are like the minimum requirement to beat the map

The Ch5 event mission isn't as hard as some of the other things in the same chapter yeah, don't think the ideal deployment is really different between the two actually. Finished all the event missions the moment it dropped lol.

I got trolled by Angelina dupe. At least I got the new sniper.

Already halfway through the ladder due to having stam pots about to expire. The real grind of the event is getting 6000 furniture parts for the set. Sounds like grinding resources and having a surplus for these isnt a bad idea.

That said, I still need to actually finish chapter 4 at some point to unlock the final map.

I just heard that one of the Japan-only gacha games I used to play for a bit (Precure Connection Puzzlun) is shutting down in June. How do you guys feel when a gacha that you used to play but quit a while ago finally closes its doors? Do you feel sad for it and the people who still played it until the end? Do you feel relieved that you quit earlier and won't have all of your progress taken away? Or a bittersweet feeling of both combined?

It's never happened to me, but I imagine I'd feel really bittersweet about it. Knowing that--if even for a time--it gave me a lot of fun times and memories and I likely lurked or was involved in the community in some way. And of course sad for the people who were playing until the end, since they wouldn't be quitting voluntarily.

Can't make this shit up, you guys. Big sad face.

Never happened to me. I've only played games that are still running.
The first gacha game I played was love live school idol festival back in 2014. If it shut down I probably wouldnt care much. Never invested too much into it. Never accomplished my goal of a full Maki team though.

PvP in Saint Seiya Shining Soldiers is fucking intense when the teams are evenly matched. I've had some fights that were won or lost based entirely on a single 1000 Days War.

The next Symphogear XDU story event that just got announced is one that I've been really looking forward to ever since I heard about it in the JP version. An alternate version of Hibiki (the infamous "Edgebiki" as she's known to the fanbase) and a new playable Gear user in *Symphogear anime spoilers* Miku are coming to the game, and I've heard the story itself is one of the most emotional things that XDU has brought to the franchise.

So I'm hyped for that.
