yeah, I'm kind of tempted to use Liskarm just because I got a dupe of her (and because she's E1 now) and I kind of wanted to save my Shop Vouchers, but Cuora seems to be the recommended choice, at least for that stage. More than likely simply an educated guess from her name 'Cuora' being a genus of turtle, since Petram itself doesn't mean anything related to turtle ('Petra' simply meaning 'stone' or thereabouts) and she doesn't have any visible turtle features or anything.

That aside, having two defenders is still usually a good baseline for a fair number of stages so it's not like you have to shelve Liskarm.

I haven't properly played Granblue in a long time, I mostly pop back in to do holiday/anniversary pulls and that's it. But somehow I found myself grinding for rank points with the 6x bonus going on and doing some of the main story again, and even some of the Rise of the Beasts.

I feel so dumb.

Dragon Raja does a thing called activity points where you get points for doing different activities that resets every day and every 30 points is a milestone reward, although the rewards after 90 kinda suck and are actually hard to get since activities start running dry so you have to do a lot of time limited activities that are only available for a few hours.

Anyway on the daily login page it said "late count: 1" and underneath it was a blurb about how if you missed a login, by getting 120 activity points, you can claim a missed day.

I could have sworn I never missed a day but it was bugging me and so with great effort I managed to get 120 activity points to go claim my missing prize. When I go to the claim menu, it now says "late count: 2"

I'm like what the fuck? And upon reading the blurb a little more closely, it turns out you can actually bank late claims for days you might miss in the future and it turns out I hadn't missed anything at all.

Oh well.

whoo finally 100% cleared Lungmen Outskirts Annihilation, after quite a few tries/party configuration and dumping all my EXP into Cuora

now just Downtown, which surprisingly doesn't look that hard before 350, though the guy that I'm watching video of has a bunch of high-rank Snipers that I don't. And the last two benchmarks on Chernobog, but that's not a huge priority since it doesn't increase weekly Orundum cap, it's just some extra money/exp/certs.

also, looking at the 5* Vanguards, it looks like their secondary skills mean that you have to manually press buttons to generate DP (with the exception of Siege's 2nd skill), which sounds like it'd be really annoying on Annihilation. Guess not having one atm isn't that big of a deal.

Funnily enough I just maxed my Cuora via recruitment today

Downtown can actually be a bit annoying with the autoturrets; they practically require high levels on all your healers/casters or they could get 2-3hkoed - Which can be a bit tight when the heavy laser drones start sniping your formation. My last try I managed a fairly stable configuration for a run of 398, just need to tweak a bit for the leaks - But I also maxed out my weekly ori so I figure I'll just try again next week after buffing my team a bit more.

While it can be a bit annoying to remember to click off during lulls in the rush, honestly I'd argue the DP is more a bonus with their S2s; Texas' ability to stall and deal AoE damage gets important in clearing early mobs and stalling. Zima also has the potential of getting more DP than her regular skill since she also gives all your Vanguards DP-on-kill (besides a nice buff) when it's activated. The main thing is both ease the pressure on your healers.
But f you really can't be bothered to press those then you can just set them to S1 lol

My gacha playing is going to be hampered really hard now, I was pretty much 100% reliant on wifi hotspots (I'm homeless), but all the usual places (like libraries) have been shut down over Corona virus concerns.

This is going to be a real boring next few weeks/months unless I can find other stable locations to log into. (This one is pretty flaky, took over 20 minutes to get this message done due to constant connection errors.)

Yeah Texas kinda pays for her AoE by being awfully squishy which is where Zima has an advantage on being able to decently hold off a small mob without her HP draining like a leaky bucket, especially when her skill gets going; a lot of times I drop Zima in front of Texas for huge mobs for this reason.
As an aside I think Zima's the only one with earphones plugged into her animal ears, which is kinda cool

I think I mentioned this before but it really bugs me how clicky the base and mission page is; a simple 'sell all' button just like for your daily trust/factory collection would have been super nice. That and constantly needing to refresh your operators feels like a needlessly cumbersome mechanic.

I'm not typically sensitive to noodle legs (Probably desensitized, ha-ha) though I can appreciate a thiccer set, but it does seem a bit awkward where Myrtle seems to have thicker legs than Texas lol. That said, Myrtle a cute (and also very good); I hope they release her in EN soon

Phew, spent the last few days in Granblue grinding RP, shot up from 79 to 101. With 101 being the biggest pain in the butt, between the surprise solo-every-Omega-first thing and then 80% through 100 the game decides it really doesn't want to work properly and I had to hit reload dozens of times to get the last bits. Nah as someone on my eighth E2 it's totes as bad as I think it is hahah

Of course this is also made worse that none of them are 4-stars (Which are almost twice as easy to promote as 5-stars tbh), but there aren't really any 4-stars I would want to promote to E2 at the moment before at least finishing up my core team

Yeah, my primary healers are Ptilopsis and Warfarin, but Perfumer's a nice secondary for when I need global regen/a second AOE healer, particularly in H5-4 and Downtown. Cuora used to be my primary defender, but then I got Saria, on top of E2 Specter providing a pretty good approximation of the defender role (Block-3/Regen/Invulnerability) with extra AOE DPS on top, so I don't bring her as often.

Where promoting Siege is concerned, I figure it's generally a good idea to prioritize your primary DPS over defenders and vanguards, but you've already promoted the best DPS uberlords in the game already so yeah haha.

Okay I admit I'm pretty annoyed now with Granblue. I really wanted to hit rank 101 so I could finish uncapping my weapons and Leviathan summon. Because the uncapping text SAID, clear Leviathan Impossible, which was rank 101. Did that, go to uncap the summon, and then I get text saying to clear Europa Impossible. Which I can't even do until rank 120. What in the fuck?

the ingame information can be kind of misleading sometimes, oftentimes the wiki will have better info. But yeah, you can't uncap your Omega summons until rank 120 where you can host M2 raids like Europa for the first time. And it also requires 10 Europa Omega anima which will take awhile to get.

I bought Zima and then kicked myself when I realized she was on the new banner, but instead of a dupe I got Nightingale. She seems useful but I already have Ptolisis leveled and it seems like it's better to keep one ST Medic and one AoE Medic on most teams, since they target different ranges. I'll have to try Zima later because I used up all my Sanity farming upgrade mats for her and then promptly ran out of money while leveling her, whoops.

almost kinda wishing I'd thrown more rolls at the Siege/Exusiai banner while it was up, I still have more than 6000 Orundum after rolling on this one, but oh well.

Managed to get Exusiai on a yolo roll so I basically beaten Arknights lol

Yeah I got Platinum recently and really want to get a lot of use out of her. I love units that do stuff like extra range etc. More option for me the better.

Also which skill to prioritize for Saria? Her s2 seems like it would work better with her passive, but s3 obviously seems like a much higher impact/higher risk skill

S2 is the general go-to for Saria for general usage and specialization, though S3 does provide the listed healing as a regen instead of a singular heal so it can give a whole bunch of SP in a pinch. Although keep in mind only damaged units get SP from her heal. S3 is definitely pretty powerful in the instances you can make use of it though.

For context, I'm pretty sure the idea of a Vanguard gacha was uttered around early 2017 I think? Duel Links was freshly released and slowly blowing up, and Vanguard was trying to ride the hype. 2018 release, they said. A year later, they said spring 2019, and that was acceptable. Another year goes by, near the last quarter of 2019, there was no more release date (they had even erased their previous Spring 2019 projection) and everybody had given up a year ago. Now it's early 2020, and they announce a Spring 2020 release, and there are actual fucking marketing for this, contrary to the fan hype that was fizzling out at every other announcements made. So people were cautious due to being burned for around 3 years in a row, but this was the furthest we got. Sure enough, we finally got a solid release date, and it's actually happening.

I'm getting money gated super hard in Arknights. Why does leveling up units cost money on top of the EXP items? Even with grinding the money mission when it's available I still need more (I also tried CE5 for money instead of CE4 but it's pretty brutal atm). Recruitment has been refusing to give me any good tags for a couple of days now too, except for the time where it dropped Shift when it was the only tag.

also took me awhile to figure out how to use Ambience in dorms, but now that I have a decent set of furniture, I should get at least some credit to spend (once I upgrade my Dorm so I'm not just hitting the Ambience cap really hard, anyways). Actually swapping your operators in and out seems like too much busywork for relatively small gain, though.

Got Akashi's costume today. I wish the Georgia grind ended, but eh well...there's only a few percentage points left. Enterprise/Saratoga/Langley has been a pretty solid backline.
