The dialogue is oftentimes really awkward (probably badly translated) and the lack of voice acting or even different expressions for characters makes it feel very flat. Moreover, the whole concept that the story is based around (Oripathy/the Infected) doesn't ever feel like the big deal that they're making it out to be. The Infected don't ever seem really crippled by it, nor are there any obvious symptoms to discriminate by (the operator descriptions even seem to imply that you can only tell if someone is Infected or not with an X-Ray). It's just an overly complicated excuse for a class war. Maybe having some sort of supposedly terrible disease going around wasn't the greatest idea for a game that sells itself on cute girls. Initially, I thought the idea was that the people with animal features were the ones that had the disease and I honestly think that would've made more sense. Yeah one thing I found funny was that Oripathy caused Eyja to be deaf, but... there's nothing about the character that shows that this affected her life.
