Funny, I got Jake and nichol in my first tix pull and daily respectively.

13 tix gave me blues with a lot of cats in there and the 10+1 was a dud.

Also: beginner keys give awaken ing mats and magicite,

ADV. Gives you items and snapper/cactaur combos ( and the gil gotten overcomes the cost of using said cactaurs, so hello money machine), and

ELT gives you crysts.

Spent ten tickets so far, will probably use more later on, but for now the best I got was two Black Cat Lid and my second Ashe.

Why would you use 3* EX tickets or 10+1 tickets before the rate up? I have 4 10+1 tickets and 24 EX tickets. Instead of blowing all of them for a roughly 50% chance at a rainbow, Ill have roughly 2 rainbows for having patience and waiting. Willpower!

Yes, you're right, it makes no sense to use tickets now that have a better chance of benefitting us in a few months time. But you're just gonna have to accept the fact that some of us don't care, and telling us we're not making sense ain't gonna change that. It's a game, and playing in a suboptimal manner may just be more fun for some of us.

Thats all fine and good, but if I come away with 3 or 4 rainbows from hording those tickets, I know several people in this topic are going to whine and complain about how I have all the luck. The reality would be that I was just smart and capable of not spending every ticket as soon as I get it. Theres no guarantee that Im even going to get a rainbow out of those tickets after the rate up, but given my 1 rainbow per 150ish pulls ratio in the last few months, I need all the help I can get.

I guess I just dont understand the pulling for the sake of pulling concept. I see so much whining from the community about how the rates are bad, or people dont have enough high end units etc, but with the nature of RNG you need to give yourself better chances if you want better stuff, unless youre just complaining to complain.

Eh, I have two things going against me-
1) I have terrible willpower
2) I'm really casual sometimes when it comes to gacha-the aesthetics of a unit can sometimes make up for their lack of relevance(which is why I'm happy to have Marie and Freyvja, since I find them to have both relevance and cool looks.)

Yeah I don't fault anyone for spending the tickets now. You don't need to play the game an try to min-max everything.

In my case (and probably Raiden's case as well), we don't really need any more units that we don't have, so there's no desire to spend the tickets yet. Not everyone is in that situation, so I get not wanting to wait for something that has no concrete date.

Well Cerebus was easy. Not surprising, though I was stupid and used Reflect just because I wanted Marie to do something after she put buffs up, and I forgot the mission. Debating if the completionism is worth the 20 NRG for a materia that won't see any use.

And I'm not seeing the value in farming keys. Sure, the drops could be nice, but having to run two dungeons so that one of them can drop useful things? And the cryst dungeon drops all of them, so you can't even target like you can in story events. I think I'm seeing TMR farming in my future next week.

I guess doing ADV is alright if you need Cactuars, but Dunes is a better value for your NRG this weekend at least.

Anybody else notice a late difference in on banner 3* rate this banner vs the Kingsglaive King Mog banner? Between my wife and I, we got 3 Libertus on about 60 combined pulls. In 20 pulls of this banner I have 6 Black Cat Lid. I recall seeing others on the FFBE board reporting low on banner bonus unit rates, not sure if anyone else here noticed that or not.

Only banner unit I've gotten on Kingsglaive was Glauca, and I did both half price and free dailies. In 12 tickets and a half price, I already have 2 BCL.

Kingsglaive sure felt stingy to me. Hardly anyone on my FL had bonus units up, where usually there'd at least be a 3* most everywhere.

Edit: So I just realized that the castle dungeons take no energy, so the only energy cost is for farming keys. Still doesn't feel worthwhile to me, but at least that's better. It might be worth doing the cactuars and gil snappers after the weekend is done just to level more units and keep my gil reserves from falling too fast.

edit: Could maybe do Mystical Skull in the second accessory slot and then free up the Auto-Refresh materia slot for something else too.

Lemme tell ya, those high SPR Ayaka that are popping up in Arena? Reminds me a lot of those 100% evasion units that stopped a few of my early arena attempts cold in their tracks. Sure, she's almost always the only unit alive, because so few can survive 2x Shantotto and 2x Victoria, but her high SPR and Mechanical Heart, and the ability to fully heal herself (which the AI does often) makes her exceedingly annoying to take down. It's kind of cool the first few times, then I realize she's yet another glorious time-waster in the arena.

I debated pulling heavily on this banner, but I think I'm going to pass. If I get lucky, I get lucky. I got way too much on my plate already, I pulled Ayaka a week ago and I still haven't used her for anything.

I am the type of player where I need people to hold my hand and walk me through what it is I need to do in order to pass content. I can't remember what every unit has, what chains with what, what multipliers moves have, what TMRs are/were good, or even where a Unit ranks in any given Tier. I know Ayaka is good because people say she's good, or that I'm supposed to have elemental weapons on that match chainers in order to maximize damage, but I don't know the science behind any of it. I just know it works.

I still have an A2 that sits on my bench because I can't get her Attack higher than my Orlandeau, but I can get my 2B higher, so I've been using her. I've probably spent Trust Moogles inappropriately simply because I didn't know better, or I've spent them on things that were good months ago, but not anymore.

I think that if I pulled heavily on Halloween, I'd just bog myself down with more things to do that I don't have time for and just further lose my mind trying to sort things out.

To make you grasp Ayaka and why I call her the first apex healer on the other board...

Now observe Snow's HP.

Raiden's Ayaka healed more than that with a single curaja AND could use re-raise on the same turn... Let that sink in for a moment. Now look at all other healers in the game. Have you seen anyone with those healing numbers?

For A2 you need to beat said boss and get the fist+fist master to unlock her potential on top of maxing out her LB+getting her own beast lord/any large sword of note that is 120+atk. That will push her above your Orlandeau and 2B at 1100+atk once you add two Snow TMRs.

Activate her LB(250% atk buff for 4 turns) for a Hulk-boost in power.

Now chain her with a A2 and use OHC to watch limbs fly everywhere...

And might as well ask, have you worked on Marie yet? Her enhancements makes her very useful these days.

As for Halloween banner, it depends on your resources since Nichol offers to turn a unit of your choice into an aoe physical tank+2 evasions(And 4 on the next turn.), while Jake offers a better tanking TMR comparably better than Elle's Arsha's talisman.

far as i can tell she's semi-useful right now but if you have Zarga and Ace she's not nearly as useful; buffer + HP + MP regen rolled into one move that gets better post-enhancements, which we don't have yet.

for Shantotto chaining she's really good though. well, for any chaining she's good because she's got a 20-hit move but it's Light/Wind. dual element may kinda suck but does make those elemental chains work nicely.

This is why I've been saying that Ayaka is the true arena cancer. If you're trying to annoy other players with things like stop and Siphon Delta, it's going to be a lot more annoying when they can't do anything to take down your Ayaka (and mine isn't even there to be annoying, she's just there as a counter to all of the people that put Stop and Siphon delta in their arena party).

I beat Ultros. I went in with 6 people since I didn't care about getting Toxic Rain. WoL/Rikku/Tilith/Minfilia/Fryevia/friend Fryevia. Minfilia was a little redundant, I probably could have beaten it without her.

That's like saying Marie is worthless.

For now you can only tap into her potential.

Either you go the bow route for chaining with Aureole Ray.(Not a lot of partners for that now. +2 becomes 720% AoE 30 Hit.)

Or you go the bard route and ramp up HP/SPR for Elven Song. ( I can attest this is how I could go 8 hours against the mechanical asshole. + 90%, and most likely another enhancement for it.)

Decided to pour all my resources in because why not? I can tell that the grinding and RNG isnt going to keep me interested for nearly as long as some players, so Ill enjoy what I get when I get it. Didnt get Sakura, but did get Flame Veritas and a second Reberta.

Since I've got all but Sakura, I might just do dailies and a ticket for pulls. Then maybe burn a 5k before this half ends (cause lol demon rain)

Also, neat thing- rider can be petrified, so BCL can Hex strike it to death.
