Well shite. Looks like it really was Gumi fixing the Rem+Aqua Blade bug. That certainly kills a lot of why people use her. I know that it shouldn't have been possible to do that in the first place, but it really sucks to pull her right when they fix the issue.I could get around it with a Bowie Knife though, so I guess it's not all bad., especially since I don't have Defender's Daggers to begin with meaning I'm not losing any magic.

Looks like I'm farming up a Bowie Knife after all.

What's the issue with Aqua Blade and Rem? I was planning on abusing that with my Tidus army at some point. Does Aqua Blade not let you dual wield correctly?

Edit: Ah, it's for swords only. Can't use it with Rem's Daggers, I follow now! That sucks

You can't use Aqua Blade to let her hold a Sword and a Dagger at the same time anymore.

You used to be able to, which allowed you to equip four L&A without a Genji Glove or Bowie Knife. It was a glitch, and one that apparently we knew the fix was coming for eventually. It just sucks that it happens right as I pulled her. Not a huge deal for me since I don't have her daggers, and so I'm not losing out on the magic boost anyway, but it does mean that if they ever bring her daggers back, I'll have to weigh a DW vs L&A for a materia slot, or use my Genji Glove on her instead of Tidus.

How did Rem help you take down Aigaion? I might as well see if I can pull it off once I have her built up since I've got her.

She can cast auto-res on other units, so I was able to run the trial with 1000+ ATK units without having to worry about the OHKO.

Oooooh, I hadn't realized that. I'm guessing you went with the slow method then? Anything you had to be careful of or watch out for, other than the obvious World Destroyer? What was the rest of your team comp? I might start planning to be able to do that soon.

I actually did the fast method.

I used Rikku, Rem, Tilith, WoL and A2 x2. Rikku is on Hyper Null All duty, poping her LB on World Destoryer Turns. Rem just cast Auto-Raise on the strongest A2 each turn and literally nothing else. Tilith full heals each turn, with occasional mana battery upside on turns where I didn't need a full heal. WoL just does Light With Us and buffs. Then OHC x2 each turn with A2.

If you do fast, make sure you knock down the right arm to 50% first to bait out its heal and then try to leave it with like 50% health or so, because the fight gets kinda crazy once you kill the body and I made the mistake of leaving the right arm untouched, so that part of the fight was real hairy because it went on way longer than it needed to.

Save your Ramuh summon for the turn you're going to finish the last bit of the left arm's HP and end the fight.

Who else could be a decent sub in for A2 for the fast method? I can't pull of perfect chains with Tidus comfortably enough to use him, and I'm worried Orlandeau isn't powerful enough. Only other chainer I have isn't close to being built up yet.

Orlandeau can work as long as you can get two of them with pretty high ATK. Any of the top tier chainers (A2, Orlandeau, Fryevia, Dark Veritas, Aileen, Tidus) are fine as long as they're strong enough. You want to be able to deal at least a 1 million damage per turn to the body to do the fast method, as he's going to heal for 500k each turn.

Just keep in mind for Orlandea and DV to NOT use elemental weapons with their imperil because the body has 100% light and dark resist. That makes it a bit tougher to deal enough damage with them.

Fryevia works really well for taking down the body first if you have her. That's what most of the FFBE board did before Nier and people taking the slow route with Emperor.

Is World Destroyer worth getting from the Aigaion trial? I have Tilith, but I also have Ayaka. I've been having trouble with the trial as it is, and I think Ayaka would make a huge difference to my success, but it would mean losing out on World Destroyer.

Also, on topic, I will be trying a new team setup to go for this fight again, but I need someone on my friends list with A2 or 2B and a Fire Weapon by the sounds of it. Can Aigaion be imperiled with -Fire via Ace, or should I only worry about elemental chaining and hoping to deal more than 1m damage per turn to the body?

World Destroyer isnt really required. Its nice to have but not necessary.

Aigaion can be imperiled with Ace, but thats another slot you need to use and room is already a little tight. I was able to do Aigaion with non-elemental chaining between two A2s. I can regear my A2 for that this weekend if you need her.

I figure Ace can use Tribeam on first turn and every other turn if necessary and Spirit Hand on other turns.

If I go with Ayaka, I won't need Maxwell, so if World Destroyer isn't worth the effort, I will probably go that route.

If I go with Maxwell, I am going to do slow and steady, Rikku with Odin so she can dispel main body every turn, and put Camouflage on Maxwell to avoid repeat death same turn shenanigans.

My 2B can get higher attack using Beastlord and Chirijiraden than my A2 can. I could put Vernard on instead of Chirijiraden, but it would still be inferior to 2Bs attack.

Awakened Rain is apparently a magic AoE cover with a SPR AoE nuke enabled after he buffs his SPR.

JP is getting an event that lets you enhance weapons. Basically you run through a dungeon and then you can obtain abilities you can apply to weapons you already own. The type of weapons will rotate with new events. Weapons can have up to 3 abilities attached to them. They're pretty strong too.

Obtainable Rare Abilities:
(May change every event)

Dagger: High Tide (+LB Fill Rate)
Sword: Lv.3 - HP/ATK +15%
Rod: - W-Black Magic
Whip: Lv.3 - +15% MAG/MP
Other Obtainable Ablities:

HP/MP/ATK/DEF/MAG/SPR: +1/3/5/7/10/12/15%
Auto-Regen: Lv1-4
Auto-Refresh: Lv1-2
Auto-Protect: Lv1-5
Auto-Shell: Lv1-5

I hope we get this sooner rather than later.

For reference, Brave Frontier got 7* units about a year and a half into the game's lifetime.

FFBE JP is already at 2 years, so I don't know. If the game keeps going I assume they'll do it at some point, but right now it doesn't seem like there are any plans.

Once 7* Units are released, that will probably be the end of FFBE for me. Same thing happened to me in Brave Frontier when 7* Units were released. You can only play chase the carrot for so long.
