Long story short.... won't be getting the spacer before a trip, and want to remove the drive to take it on said trip w/o fear of the loose drive jostling around, and get to dealing w/ this issue after the trip....

Absolutely none, other than whether or not it was prosecuted by that state vs. like...a federal crime.

It should be used to free people w/ very questionable convictions, like Cameron Todd Willingham. Instead, those people tend to languish in prison or get executed, and the ones who "find god" or whose families donate enough to the right person (which is another form of finding god, I guess) get pardons, regardless of how heinous their crimes.

The justice system in this country is a fucking joke. Wouldn't blame the victims' families one bit if they took things into their own hands after the justice system basically flipped them off.

Can't, unfortunately.
I do think we'd be better off if politicians who were utterly despised by the rest of the country but liked in their own location could be voted out, if they had some insanely high hurdle to do so, like 75%+ voting to remove the person from office. Would spare us a lot of these hyper partisan extremists in the House who will never be voted out b/c their district was specifically carved out to hand them the seat.

Mitch is in the Senate, so it should be possible to boot him out since it's state-wide. And he's up for re-election in 2020! I remember in 2014, Democrats didn't think it was worth it to invest the money to support his opponent (Allison Grimes, was it?) and...that turned out well, didn't it? I really hope this time around they make a big effort to toss him out of office, cause he is single handedly responsible for nearly everything wrong w/ Washington politics today.
Not trying to do so would be a huge mistake. Even when minority leader, he's shown he has absolutely no shame in doing everything physically possible to block even the most mundane of shit, like lower court judges or ambassadors to small countries.

Trump should be happy. It's one of the only times he'll ever get to be compared to Bill Clinton, a far better president.

I wish Democrats had waited longer to vote on impeachment, though. It's Trump's fault they haven't gotten any actual major players to come testify, but I think it'd help a ton if they got Guiliani (seriously, the more he talks, and under oath, the better) or Bolton or the like in there, even if it means another few months of court battles.
Cause Mitch is just gonna hold a vote within 2 weeks of resuming session next year, and let the votes fall short of 67, then loudly proclaim, "TRUMP HAS BEEN EXONERATED!" and move on.
Any actual investigation has to be done in the House or it's just plain not getting done.

Wow, pleasantly surprised by his review!

Never liked MM, always felt like a super unpopular opinion. But he nailed how annoying and tedious the game play and time countdown mechanics (including waiting around for specific times of the day and starting over if you miss one for a quest) are.
Yeah, the dark atmosphere and setting are great, but the game itself is not good.

Nice to see someone who agrees w/ me. He was less harsh on Zelda II than he was on MM, which was like a cherry on top. :)

And if he thought that was annoying, he should try it on the GC on the Zelda collection disc, like I experienced it. Glitches (and fairly common ones, apparently) that crash/freeze the game are NOT ACCEPTABLE in a game where you have such limited ability to save!!!

"What do you mean? You never requested us to hold it for you."

"Yeah, I totally did..."
"That conversation never happened."

"Whatever, I just want my package."

I have been waiting over 2 weeks for a delivery, with no end in sight, and holy fuck is this company terrible!
This is actually the 2nd order....the first was supposedly delivered on Dec. 3rd per the tracking info, but it never came. FedEX lied to me!
The store then decided to send a new shipment rather than try to figure out WTF happened to the first. I didn't want to deal w/ FexEx again and asked to do store pick up, but was told it had to be the same delivery method. Fuck....

As of Saturday, it had been dropped off at the nearest facility. Every single day since then, the tracker says it's out for delivery on a truck in the morning and expected by the end of the day, only to never arrive and then the next day the same thing is displayed except the expected delivery date is now the end of the new day. FedEX lied to me!

Yesterday, fed up w/ the BS, I called to ask what was going on. They offered to let me have the package dropped off and held at my local Walgreens, since I guess they work w/ FedEx now. I said fine. They said it should be there by the next evening, and take my email address.
Today...I call FedEx before leaving work, and ask if it is there to be picked up. She sees that I requested to hold it there from yesterday's phone call and says yes, it's ready for pick up. I ask twice to be sure, and she says yes. I go to Walgreens.... And it's not fucking there! Of course it's not! I honestly was expecting it at this point. FedEX lied to me!
I just got home and called FedEx again. New customer service agent claims they have no record of me requesting to have it held at that location nor my email address, and takes it down again.... FedEX lied to me!
Now supposedly it should be there tomorrow or Friday, but...I'm skeptical.

Holy fuck this company is shit! It sucks the customer has no say in who the store they buy from uses to ship, cause damn do I never want to deal w/ them again! Had multiple orders AFTER this one all arrive in the interim, cause they came via UPS and USPS, who are actually competent. Somehow until now I've been lucky I guess and never had anything "delivered" (in quotes, b/c the word delivered presumes the package is actually received....or at least doesn't vanish from existence...) by them.

It's a very boring game, indeed. Unlocked the ability to call a dino mount out of nowhere ASAP to help. And looked up the ingredients for the infinite fast travel pack so I could buy one ASAP as well. But the loading times are just awful too, makes me laugh at how I hated BotW's, which were nothing in comparison.

The world is pretty uninteresting, too. Tried exploring it, but eventually found there was no point vs. riding around on my dino mount brushing past the campfires to discover them, then fast travel back when needed for a quest or the like.

And god, the indoor sections w/ all the exposition dumped on you by audio/video logs, and crawling at a snail's pace w/ the focus on to find them... Plus the camera and map sucked indoors. And they just go full ham on you at the end w/ those awful indoor sections.

I pushed myself to finish the story, and had no desire to ever touch the game again afterwards. Of course, the story starts off promising but just gets more terrible the further you go, to the point where at the end you think the writers must take the players for idiots if they think what they wrote was plausible or sensible.
Yes, I mean the part where Ted Faro cuts off the air to all the survivors' team b/c why not have such a button accessible from a different location, when your enemies are robots who don't need to breathe?

The final chapter was actually a bit fun at least, because it completely threw away the gameplay of the previous 99% of the game and just had you mowing shit down w/ a machine gun.

I am unsure, though...seemed like the empty space was more on the "underside" of the drive than the label side. Hopefully the spacer doesn't force the connectors in slightly crooked...

Pretty simple, really.
I just installed a 2.5" HDD in a laptop, but realized after the fact that it's a bit "loose" and that's due to being 7 mm thick while as this laptop was built for a 9.5 mm thick drive. Apparently these newer models often come with spacers to help with this issue, but I lucked out and bought from a company that doesn't do this. :(

So...i found a spacer on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Edge-7mm-9-5mm-Spacer-Adapter/dp/B014LQM6I2

I just want to make absolutely sure... I already formatted and partitioned this drive, but it is not the C drive (ie, doesn't have the operating system). I should be totally fine turning off the laptop's power, removing the drive, applying this spacer, re-inserting it, and powering the computer back on....right?

The Fed is massively propping things up. They're lowering interest rates (which were already still historically low) despite it being a "booming economy", and they're pumping ridiculous amounts of money every day into the economy to keep the "overnight lending rate" (or whatever it's called) from collapsing, which would cause the economy to then immediately collapse if it did.

But don't worry, future generations will pay for it, happily!

I predicted it like 2 years ago jokingly, but now more seriously:
He won't resign.
If he's voted out of office, he'll have Air Force One drop him off in Russia in early January on a one way trip and refuse to go back with them, after spending the last 2 months of 2019 blatantly liquefying as many of his assets as possible and moving them to off shore accounts.
And the U.S. government will have no ability at all to stop it, despite how obvious the plan is.
He will then spend the next few years, at least, sending messages from Russia that he was "overthrown in a coup" to stir up internal strife in the U.S. at the bidding of his master, Putin.

I think its more likely that hell resign and try to play it off as some kind of I did everything I came here to do lie rather than face defeat in the 2020 election

its almost a year out and hes underwater by more than double digits in the swing states. A lot can happen in a year and polling isnt the best barometer anymore, but thats a gigantic gap and way lower than a normal sitting president looking at reelection
Unless the economy finally crashes (it's been propped up SOOOO damn much by the Fed; Republicans stopped caring once it was Trump in charge) before the election, he has a good chance of re-election. People seriously seem to underestimate the power of incumbency. All the previous modern presidents that lost re-election had it happen in the midst of a recession and/or due to a third party siphoning large amounts of votes away.
Honestly, the dudes running in the Republican primary right now that are principled conservatives and have claimed (at least Bill Weld, awesome dude) that they'd do a "suicide run" for office just to help split votes from Trump have a better chance of torpedoing his re-election than the impeachment process's reveals of Trump's excesses and crimes does.

He shouldn't have been blacklisted, but only because he shouldn't have been pardoned in the first place.
He was doing serious time because he committed a serious crime. Getting out of jail early doesn't erase the bloodstains on his hands, and acting so vindicated only shows a lack of reflection or acknowledgement of his crimes. It's only sensable that he'd have trouble finding anyone who wants him in their midst.
Well, see that's the thing.
People like to act like the punishment / "revenge" portion of prison is the least important aspect, or something to be slightly ashamed of as a society. But it is in fact very important. The reason people are generally not "taking justice into their own hands" is because they can trust in the legal system to adequately punish wrongdoers, and thus avoid an endless cycle of personal revenge.
When you take that away, and total monsters get to walk free with little or no actual punishment.... People rightfully get angry and realize it's up to them to "set things right."

So yeah, I agree with you. Just wanted to expand on it a bit, since some posters on here don't seem to grasp that.
