this dev's games are basically all really bad horror games with extremely awful performance. there's a big history in hololive of playing them going back probably multiple years at this point and for some reason they're a flavour of the month game every time they come out despite kinda sucking, and then you get to watch people struggle with the framerate or having to disable their avatar again and again

a decent number of holojp came out with statements at more or less the same time about 15ish hours ago about not putting AI art on their tags. Which makes a lot of sense to me imo because the tags I think are largely a way to aid discoverability of newer artists and AI art there is at best clutter and at worst misleading.

Then there's the bonus part where cover, being cover, is extremely afraid of any rights issues related to it and so they don't want to accidentally use one for a thumbnail or etc

I kinda like time limits on high stakes moments in games though it's cool

my favourite case of the series just because of how it flips the usual concept completely on its head

64's camera is pretty bad but you mostly don't notice until you play romhacks that have the default camera still in imo

it's clear they knew the limitations of what they were working with and designed levels accordingly but you can't say the same for the fans

it's because back when nijisanji first came into existence, most vtubers were just uploading prerecorded and edited video (think like early kizuna ai or shiro or kaguya luna or whatever)

nijisanji was different because they were trying to focus more on livestreaming. hence livers. I think it could have actually sorta worked as an english word too, since the etymology is an english loanword in the first place... except that it has the exact same spelling as a common other english word that is totally unrelated and not pronounced the same lol

it's a project to design and construct a massive clock intended to keep time for the next 10000 years. which means approximately as far into the future as we currently are from the beginning of civilization. thinking about time at this scale is a pretty weird feeling since basically nothing humanity has ever built is designed to last anywhere near that long

I had a UGW walls deck in arena at some point, it was sort of dumb but Tower Defence could steal games I really had no business winning at all

instant speed +0/+5 to your entire field when you're dealing damage off your toughness is insane, and it only costs 2 mana lol

all the stage types are interseting in their own way imo (when playing for score)

my actual complaints about the game would be that there's too much chao garden stuff and that the camera is often super awful

Outer Wilds

it just blends story + gameplay so well (and helps that both of those are good on their own). There's basically no forcing of the story from the game at any point, you're a novice space explorer/archeologist and you just gradually unearth a complex backstory and mystery left behind from another civilization years and years ago.

It's hard to say too much about it since it's an entirely information/exploration game. I've seen it described as a metroidvania with knowledge instead of items and honestly that's not a bad way to put it at all
