Instead at some point like so many of things in this game it got scrapped or put on the backburner and they never really figured out what to do with that once the game got gutted. Matches don't have a time limit per se, but they periodically restrict the amount of map you're allowed to be in without taking damage to the point that they will inevitably force confrontation.
