Feb. 2014 <_< The only thing I can think of is the post-Worlds (Which is the spike in October, and the same spike in 2016) dropoff in professional play (September has a similar drop because it was a dead month that year, with all of the Worlds qualification being done by the first week, and most of it in August), but that doesn't explain why 2016 doesn't have a similar drop. Matches don't have a time limit per se, but they periodically restrict the amount of map you're allowed to be in without taking damage to the point that they will inevitably force confrontation. Also they don't have AI zombies.
