Week 1 is always weird. Most of the games are crap but there are a few decent ones.

Alabama/Florida State is enough to make up for all the other creampuff games out there.

But the Vols have a decent challenge for their opener, too. Here's hoping they have a good season.

They weren't ranked for like the next eight weeks after Bama crushed them week 1 but they were ranked before the season.

Had a great defensive stand after a blocked punt and then totally botched that kickoff return in every way.

see I can see the good defense, but getting punts and field goals blocked and fumbling kick returns makes me think you are bad more than the other team being good

Man, it's going to be frustrating for everyone who loses to Alabama this year because of how bad Hurts is, and it won't matter because their running game, defense, and special teams are just that good. I know Bama never has a great QB, but I'm not sure Hurts is even a capable QB. And they still almost won it all last year anyway.

The SEC in general does this every year. All their best teams are wholly incapable of finding decent QBs. Alabama, Florida, LSU, all shit QBs every year.

Florida's offense went from unstoppable for 25 years to unwatchable since Urban Meyer left. Alabama and LSU never care about QBs. Florida just hasn't been able to find one. Other SEC schools have been able to produce some pretty good QBs.
